  1. Very good question => Let's have an educated guess here......deny all responsibilty...... tell poor old Noel to go to buggery.....and....... don't bother to fit any antiburst covers on future clutches because your more interested in a profit margin than your customers legs(?).
  2. X 2 - done this myself, but mounted it externally so it gets airflow (make sure it's mounted within your chassis rails for safety + on return line), worked a treat. Unless you've raced at QR in summer you may not appreciate how hot it can get up here.........36 degrees yesterday. Only enthanol fuel up here is 10% mix, unfortunately no E85 for some time yet according to United.
  3. Sorry I'm out - bloody clash with work Christmas party.......
  4. +4 for Mark at Godzilla
  5. I agree with 666DAN, the workshop would be insured for that - it was their decision to leave your car outside whereas they should have locked it up inside (like most mechanics would), particularly with a high theft car like yours. If they f*ck you around get a solicitor. I used to live down the road from that servo, there's no reason why they could not have secured your vehicle inside their premises...
  6. Highly recommend Mark at Godzilla for the tune. He is in Brisbane but definitely worth the drive.
  7. Unsure about this......a mate took a hooning charge to Court and won. Officer could not prove beyond reasonable doubt that the accused was in fact "hooning". His defense was basically that the road was wet (hence wheelspin) and he did not see the car next to him that was trying to race him.
  8. 80-140 gear oil, I used & still use shockproof lightweight for the gearbox (no dramas with this). Sydneykid recommended the Castol SAF-XA to me some years back based on what he used in his race cars, it's good stuff.
  9. I wouldn;t be putting Redline in your LSD to shut it up, have used this oil in the same diff as yours and it made mine more knocky than usual (diff is in very good nick to boot). Try Castrol SAF-XA (fully synthetic) , made mine MUCH quieter + I get longer change intervals.
  10. Yes put me down please!
  11. Similar cams but with 2530s:- 1) => idle is about 950 rpm, you don't know it's got cams in it (until you hit 4k on fully open throttle) 2) => much the same as std but more torque and HP over 4500rpm, bitch to dial in. Recommend you buy Dirtgarage's ones at that price
  12. Compared to Castrol Edge 10-60 I found I got 6 months out of the 300v instead of 3 months with the Castrol. This was based on periodic oil anaylsis tests, the Motul retained its viscosity better in my engine. I also get no cold start noises from the Motul unlike the Castrol. Johnny - I disagree 15w is too thick for a turbo, if you heard metal grinding on the turbo like you posted I'd say it';s a fair chance you had stuffed turbo bearings that would not be caused by the weight of the oil (cheap oil maybe?). I have run a 300V 15W-50 thru my pair of HKS 2530s for 5 years and they are both in perfect working order.
  13. NPC twin plate - mine took 2 and a half years of abuse (mostly track and drag strip) before it needed a rebuild.
  14. More of a policy issue than anything else. Would need to be careful how you word your letter as they'll probably use whatever they can from it against you in court.
  15. You'll get off on this, in no way shape or form have they substantiated beyond reasonable doubt that your diff was locked as they simply did not inspect it. Unbelievable. Yet another fine example of how the Qld Police Service are completely uneducated in this area and should not be policing it - if in doubt they should simply refer you to the Dept of Tpt for an inspection by a "qualified" person who has undertaken adequate training in this area. What a waste of taxpayers monies pursuing something like this, surely our Courts have more important matters to deal with than junk allegations like this.....I'm sure that's the view the Magistrate will take as well. Good luck.
  16. Highly recommend Mark - honest to deal with + does quality work. Has indepth knowledge on anything RB powered, in my case he took out 4 degrees timing and 2psi from my tune (basically detuned it) and the car actually ran quicker down the quarter
  17. Thanks for the great news Shell, I had my car tuned on this - much appreciated!! My only question is...why did you even bother bringing out VPR100 if you were never going to commit to the supply of this product?? I suppose you never had the 100 in stock anyway ....... pack of d*ckheads...........
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Motul 300V range is a Group 5 base oil, the 8100 range is a blend of group 4 and 5.
  19. With mine I found 30% Nulon and 70% distilled water to be a better mix - particularly when doing track days.
  20. Mark at Godzilla.
  21. CnJ don;t touch Haltech's.
  22. PM or 0409 635 106. Thanks
  23. Anyone??
  24. For that type of $$ I'd be getting an NPC twin plate ($1800) + it's rated to 1000HP, got one in my GTST and it's user friendly and has taken a huge amount of abuse with 500RWHP.
  25. Tomei type A valve springs are rated to 8500rpm hence this is your safe upper limit.
