Blown my Clutch
Veilside R33 replied to Veilside R33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
did you get it from horsepowerinabox.com??? becasue they have that exact clutch for $550 i have heard mixed reports about the extremes but most are hearsay so its good to hear a 1st hand oppinion. what mods have you got??? how much was it to install??? im not sure how much im going to get hit up for installation, proably a few hours??? -
thanks again nik!!! best so far is an extreme clutch from horsepowerinabox for $550 but im abit sceptical about it due to some reports on ns.com.

hey guys i need any info or suggestions on a new clutch as possible. my went on me last night in all gears but 1st (and 1st is slipping) so i need a new clutch asap as i have no way of getting around. however my budget is severaly limited so 1k for a clutch is completely out of the question, i need a heavy duty clutch as i will be upping the boost soon anyway. so if anyone knows where to get a good heavy duty clutch without breaking my small budget plaese let me know asap!!! also any websites u can suggest would be great. ive tried just jap and im looking at about $700 for a good one and $550 for a decent one. cheers guys. Andrew.

yeah this is true, just checked just jap. they have a full heavy duty ceramic clutch kit for $695 or a failry heavy duty one for $550. ed said the clutch would be around $790

ur selling it???? unless ur next post, contains.........because im getting an r34 GTR, then ur crazy!!!! lol how come ur selling it???
-
just called ed, im looking at $1100 for a fitted heavy duty clutch. which is way out of my budget. but as always he was very helpfull in suggesting a few ideas. i also mentioned that im upping the boost so he told me to come by for a (something test) cant remeber. to make sure i dont det the engine when i do boost it. so im gonna have to keep looking, i know of heaps of dudes with race clutches (i think daiken) that have picked them up for well blow $500. if anyone knows of anymore websites they can suggest then please dont hesitate to do so!! as always thanks again for all of your support!!!!!

haha i will try, its sweet, spotted my car blowing my clutch going into belconnen tonight, then blowing in every other gear about 500 metres from my house!!!!
-
im soooo upsett!!!!!it had been slipping a little for the past few weeks, nothing major, just felt more like it was missing boost a bit. anyway i took the line to get serviced today at F&F imports and Dave told me that it was the clutch and it would need to be fixed in a while. driving to a girls house tonight going up William slim or Hovell (whichever one goes from the parkway to belconnen) anyway as the slope crept up i went to put my foot down to speed up, and it went on me, just reved straight out to redline so i dropped to 4th and it was ok. once i got to her house the smell was almost unbearable,(im sure a few of u know what i mean) i just got home then and it had gone in all gears but 1st, e.g. change to second=rev out, 3rd=rev out, etc.... so i crawled up my hill to get it home. im soooo upsett, i already owe enough on the car now im gonna have to fork out at least $5OO for a heavy duty clutch (as im bout to up the boo5t) im considering selling it but at the end of the day i dont think i could part with it. anyway does anyone know of anyone in canberra that has good clutches, cheap? it'll need to be heavy duty, but the car is now officially off the road as i can hardly drive it in 1st. to make matters worse, my mums car blew up today and is pretty much unfixable, so i cant even drive her car either, im going to cry

couldnt be the same dude could it??? thats seriously messed up if it was!!! but there are heaps of silver fords getting round, but i guess if he went crazy once theres no reason for him not to do it again, hmmm

New Whitelien Front Springs
Veilside R33 replied to Roy's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
350ml? does this mean ground clearance??? im after soem very low springs for my R33. if so 350ml is way high. :@( -
DAVE is the guy you want, he's a great bloke and really does like imports(he has a fully worked deep violet commodore, with 19's a TV and heaps of other stuff) i thought i would be really clever and try to get my dad to take it over etc...anyway they knew it was mine and didnt care, at the end of the day all i had to get put on was a rear high mount brake light, which i installed myself and only cost $35. they could have done me for my drift handbrake, computer, and a couple little other things, but they were happy to let them go because they werent an issue to my or other drivers safety. cant ask for much more than that. i guess there are really 2 ways of going about going over the pits. 1: you can take as much aftermarket gear as possible of your car and hope they pass it or only pin you for something tiny, if at all. 2: go in with all your mods on it and hope they do you for the really obvious stuff and then let you pass once you come back with the defectable bits off the car. anyway, they really are a great group of guys down there and we could do much worse!!! oh also they DO read these forums, thats how they knew it wasnt my car when i took it over. Also a HUGE thankyou to all everyone from the ACT forum and the Syndicate boys for their kind help and advice and helping me get my car through!!! hope all goes well for you mate. Andrew.

R31_silo2 said:black R33 with black rims and red stripe thingys around the edge of them at Chisholm Shops, a nice wing but the rims aren't my cup of tea. tried to get a run out of this guy tonight, coming back from belconnen on coulter drive, i was hoping for some lights to go red but no luck. booted past him into a form1lane prolly came a lil close to, sorry bout that. then just stayed behind me down the parkway, i woulda given it some but with only 4 points and shallow funds i wasnt gonna risk it. also i got quite a surprise turning onto the parkway from the cotter, i saw a blue R31 darting beetween cars behind me, and it finally reached me, so i cruised through the round about and the thing was already next to me , i gunned it bbut was in the wrong gear, anyway he got past me and swung into the turn onto the parkway, i chased him down and was closing in but backed off at 15O. must have some serious hardware under the hood though!!! i think the new front mount and boost controller will be getting purchased sooner than expected :aroused:

Maroon R32(i think its a gts-t) with the big rear wing and door stickers... on hindmarsh dr. this arvo at about 4, i chased him from the melrose drive lights as i was a few cars back and caught up at the lights with the parkway turnoff. woulda been a good run had we not had a car each in front of us. i gave him a wave b4 we took off and got one back, he gave it a rev with a bit of wheelspin but we couldnt go anywhere cause of the cars ahead of us. i ended up taking th free lane as soon as it opened up then dropped back into 3rd and took off, didnt pull back till bout 140. anyway it sounded amazing. didnt think to check the plates.

depends on what window it was, Ewan has a syndicate sticker on the front, not sure about the back. the odds of a white r32 and a black r33 together on a friday night are heavily in favour of being Ewan and Nick. lol
