  1. Thought I would write a quick n dirty review and information of the RacePace radiator. Reasons for this thread: Little information on this radiator for R34 GTRs Chris has never fitted one to a plastic topped radiator GTR before, only alloy top Little information on the radiator itself on the forum Information on the radiator: Aluminium 42mm and 55mm Triple pass N shaped pattern (info from Chris) Direct fitment regarding mounting positions, hoses, etc Fan shroud will require trimming! Also may need adjustment as to ensure no fouling when turning, bumps on the road, etc. Cost: 42mm = $550, 55mm = $570 Admittedly this cannot be a full review as the radiator has not been in the car for a while so I may update this in due time, but other people have mentioned no issues regarding quality. Temperatures have been very good so far and I'll be looking forward to seeing how it fares in peak hour traffic on a hot summers day with air con to give it a good hammering. Highway driving seen very stable temps, sitting on a solid 82C most of the time. Getting up to operating temperature does take a long time as well. Verdict so far: Recommended - same price as a Koyo rad, thinner (Koyos are 53mm iirc) and triple pass
  2. I would dare say with dealers in general, few are honest. With the imports, it's even easier because of lot of customers do not understand the processes, etc that are involved in importing vehicles, records that can be checked, so on and so on. A few of the "dealers" in Sydney, such as Top Secret Motorsports, Japlink Motors, Xtreme Motorsports are quite trustworthy. I'm sure others could pipe in with their own recommendations. Now with brokers - I think now is possibly a good time to look overseas to bring in a fresh import, even though the yen isn't as strong as it was 2 or 3 weeks ago, it is still better than it was last year. Yes, you won't be able to drive/evaluate it yourself but I know brokers such as IronChef have their runners go out and inspect cars in the metal, give their reports, etc which you can review. Always comes down to budget and how long you're willing to wait. As for All Imports / Sports Auto Group - can't make any comments on the forum. I'm also not sure what body does in investigations regarding RAWS workshop but I doubt it's the ACCC. The thing is a lot of customers just aren't aware of their rights. If you're not aware, a lot of complaints (in general for all companies) go unheard.
  3. Exactly - QLD, no issues. Everywhere else = difficult. Probably can't even do it in Victoria because of their 1 intake modification (unless you can count intercooler and turbo as 1 intake?). Almost been tempted to rego a car in QLD
  4. Selling the profec I bought as it's no longer needed. Essentially brand new except being opened. $330 posted (Australia)
  5. Pretty much as what people have said. 1 episode Jeremy praised the daylights out of the car, then he disses it in that clip. To be fair, their is a difference and it comes down to what a person wants. Nissan obviously were targeting supercar territory so it has to be comfortable, quiet, easy to handle, etc for that majority of people that will buy one and not modify it. For those that will modify it, or want a bit more, they will change things anyway. You can see how some of the Japanese manufacturers think regarding some cars as they know people will modify the crap out of them. Prime example FT86 - turbo charger kits came out so quickly, shame it's not so easy to do one here (legally) in Australia.
  6. I also think it's variety would be nice too. Ok, dragways probably not the best example for variety - it's a strip in a straight line, but for tracks/circuits, most definitely. I've heard good things about Oran Park and that was gone before I could get to it. Eastern Creek has made some nice changes, Wakefield is a fairly short course with lots of right hand turns and fairly flat. Would be nice to start getting some things across the line as it could pave way for future developments.
  7. I can probably jump in and answer that as I also have an SK kid and darksky34 enquired about my setup, but he'll correct me if I'm off The main reason would be the compromise between comfort and sportiness. I personally had S Tunes and found them a little too harsh for the day-to-day activities on the roads that I ventured. Super Streets would garuanteed to provide a harsher ride than the SK, especially if they are coming from Japan with Jap spec spring rates. Sydney roads are quite shocking in general, some people can tolerate it, some people can't - all depends on the driver. Personal preference at the end of the day (though a Koenigsegg Triplex setup is pretty good )
  8. You got his plates, you have the make and colour of the car. You call the cops, report the accident and tend to the details, call your insurance and wait. The cops are the one that will do the running around for failure to stop, etc.
  9. Now I'm curious - I thought cars that require repairs such as this were illegal to be registered on the streets (maybe Chef can clarify?). Though I bet they'll come up with some BS story that it got damaged during transport or something in Australia. Any chance of obtaining the VIN and possible searches via auction papers on it's grade? I'm sure the ACCC and other entities would be interested in this.
  10. This may be one for the IronChef, unless you could find a nice one like tango matt's
  11. Wouldn't be worth the cost unless you picked one up real cheap as you'd lose a lot of money in converting it from LHD to RHD.
  12. Believe me, if I could afford a dirty thirty build (at this point in time) this would be long gone. Really surprised it hasn't been snapped up
  13. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't see how adding sub-forums increases the risk on sales of scammers for whole cars only? I do agree on splitting it into general series as mentioned by Luke (31, 32, 33, 34, 35) and "others." Maybe also raises a question why there are so many non-skylines (and R35) for sale
  14. I wasn't able to get many shots in - no experience shooting cars but guess I can change that Spent most of my time meeting and greeting and a big kudos to Nick for the lift home As covered by other people, not many questions were asked mostly due to how in depth the talks were - very informative on a lot of areas and also the openness of what goes on too. Z Tune and "Skola Tune" GTRs were very impressive. "Tomei" GTR JEM Insane Spec GTR Z tune officialdom: Terry's Nismo Strut Bar (for those who are curious) Terry's Engine bay which has been seen before
  15. my god...talk about epic failing
  16. Awesome night - got a finally meet a few SAUers
  17. Public transport ain't no better...
  18. "Goneskies" aka gone, sold, no longer available.
  19. The thing is most of the people who buy from these places are unsuspecting people and more-often-than-not are not aware of their rights, actions they can take, etc, etc. So as a result - they tend to be taken advantaged of. I'm merely generalising and not trying to offend
  20. Least you guys have your cars with you Mine is still with Yavuz. Also - charging camera batteries as we speak
