yes RB24DET Tomei pistons, GTR crank, rods etc... hence with the way rb20's and rb25's flow gasses differently, i'm after some sort of assistance in trying to figure out best setup for my car. also assumin my 20 based engine will rev more, also after opinions, that is why i would like peoples opinions on my questions. thanks for the links, i have spent time reading them, and in mafia's thread he is relating to RB25... but i will have another look at them thanks -Matt

hey guys i have some QUESTIONS! i've been reading a lot about the gt3076r, but i'm after some sort of insight on what i can get out of my RB24DET. it have all supporting mods. i'm looking for a turbo to make a solid 280-290rwkw and the GT3076r IW seems like the option. I'm interested to find out what specifications i need to obtain this power with as much reponse as possible - i think the .6 front comp cover, 56trim, .63exhaust housing ( IW ) is the option will this achieve the results i'm after? am i correct that i have to buy this in 2 seperate parts (as in to get this setup i need to buy the exhaust housing seperately)? also i have a HKS adjustable actuator still - can i use this? or do i need the garret 1 bar actuator to suit the garret turbo's? thanks -Matt

hey guys, i'm looking at a gt3076r ( IW ) for my cefiro - the engine is a RB24. basically i'm looking for information of people that have these fitted to RB20's AND RB25's just so i can try and figure out where i'll be with a setup. i'm after around a solid 290rwkw - but obviously with most response possible. every other supporting mod is already installed from what i understand - i can get a gt3076r without an exhaust housing and buy a seperate exhaust housing with the IW setup. i 'think' i've been told a 56trim something and a .68exhaust housing would be ideal for response, BUT unsure on peak power and other specs such as front comp cover ( i think there is .6 and .7 ???) i'm not too sure on all the specs etc, that is why i'm after some help, thanks for your help -Matt

just keep in mind if going to track at lala etc, they'll probably check if tailshaft loop is there, so if 1 piece, maybe just keep that middle bit there...

well new belt and cam gears fitted up, did G1 round 3 - good result qualifying in top 16 - drew christian pickering first round, he beat me 6-4, 6-4 on the two runs... with only doing 2 rounds of the 3 round series, i ended up 16th for South Australia G1 Championships. The car is now gonna get pulled down again and freshened up... should look HOT!!!! Also going to upgrade the turbo again (power hungry lol) so the hks gt2540 is now for sale - its been running on 1.2 bar at the moment (around 220rwkw). click link for details More updates later, as things start to happen I've got some other bits for sale, and will update bits for sale as i find them. is this the rb25de that can use same loom as rb20det? (being S1 - does this mean from 32? or 33?) how much for engine alone? and how much would postage be to SA? or are you not keen to ship?

skylinecouple - my engine is based on the rb20 and the fact it is low comp, means it requires more boost than a standard engine to make the required power. shaft play isn't abnormal, it is minimal, the wheel spins freely and doesn't blow any smoke. also because my engine is rb20 based (standard head as far as i know etc) it flows differently to rb25. The rb25 would be able to obtain the same reading on lower boost because of the compression difference. Another thing to take into account is that i could easily of made 280rwkw at a different dyno hence why i added dyno is renowned for reading lower than most. krzysiu - thanks for the post good to give feedback on the potential of these. for how easy they fit and the performance they deliver its good to get feedback from others that have fitted them. cheers -Matt

must add, that this was making full boost by around 3600, on my rb20 based engine. this would be awesome on RB25 (the pink ADD cefiro with rb25 had this setup and was making 250+rwkw!)
