Hey i've searched around and found Hicas removal for GTR etc, but nothing specific to cefiro, 32 etc. I'm in the process of removing my hicas lines, as i've had a lock bar fitted and blocked up the lines, and since then i've done a rear cradle swap also. so basically i want all the lines gone completely. Started by removing all the plenum etc, to make life a bit easier. 1 - Start off with a pic of the hicas unit in the engine bay. 1 - 2 - Next there are 4 lines going into this one area, what is this going into? is it the steering rack (i've read that the hicas has nothing to do with the steering rack in other threads). Can i simply undo all 4 of these and put bolts in them to block them up? 2 - 3 - This is how my hicas has been blocked off for the past 2years. I'm wanting to remove all the lines completely. 3 - 4 - Following the blocked lines up toward the engine bay, i came across this joiner/block with the lines running into it. What does this do and once again is it simply a case of removing it. 4 - 5 - Up further from this joiner/block the 2 rear lines go into this spot where the 2 lines from the hicas unit go into also (same part as pic #2). once again - simply remove and block up with bolts? 5 - 6 - Back in the engine bay i've now got the hicas unit again. the front line in this pic runs down the front of the crossmember and into the rear of the power steering pump. 6 - 7 - At the rear of the power steering pump is the hicas line. Can i remove the line, remove the pump's wheel (HOW DO I DO THIS???), and block up with a bolt? 7 - Thanks again for your help it is EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!! cheers -Matt

ok i was contemplating removing the hks gt2540 and going for something a fair bit bigger, but now... i'm gonna keep it. It makes 20psi by 3900-4000rpm, its fuggin quick as aswell once you get some grip into the rear. I ran maxxis tyres last weekend, and far out - they're the grippiest things i've run! will definitely be using them again in future! They increased my drifting speed dramatically, possibly by 25km/h (actual speed)!!! anyway couple a pics, for ya's and the car is off the road, getting some mid-season maintenance and checks done, all good though

ok as for specs guys engine - tomei forged pistons / new tomei rings, bearings, 1.2 metal head gasket, water pump, etc + 26 rods and crank. will be running 1.5 bar as max boost (22psi?). supporting mods - gtr inj, power fc, z32 afm, walbro intank, fmic, straight pipes off turbo, ebc, etc... the 3076r is still probably where i'm aiming at, if it is too laggy for my needs, i'll look into other options (adding cams/gears) to assist. so no guesses at peak power? i'm guessing 290rwkw ish. for that boost... cheers -Matt
-
so the internal gated 3071r aren't that great? i'm really leaning toward the Garret GT3076R 52 compressor trim turbo with a Garret .63 A/R intergral wastegate turbine housing (T3 flange). any ideas what power this should create?
-
up we go - looking into turbo's again, i found that the 3076r, 52 trim, .68 can come in T3 flange, but i have now also heard the 3071 can have the exhaust housing changed to suit T3 flange aswell... has anyone got results on these 2 turbo's?

wind the actuator wound in - you will increase boost. with the ebc - yes it will be better than simply running the actuator. i have done this with hks actuator in the past - simply wind it in so you cant actually pull it over by hand, need to use pliers because of the tension, test it with ebc off or disconnected to see what boost is at. keep winding in until you get to 1 bar. then setup ebc accordingly.

check all your connectors are on and clean. i had a similar issue with pfc in my car, tuned out it was bad connection on water temp connector and then another one (seperate occassion) with injector connection causing no spark at all in one of the cylinders... turned out it was that green goopy shit that the std connectors get after time.

Top RB20 Club... do you have over 260rwkw?
