make sure lines arent leaking? definitely sounds like a master cylinder issue - have you upgraded to suit the larger calipers? assuming you've done discs etc aswell to suit
-
thanks Gary, but i'm going to get something through one of my sponsor's as i will get it cheaper, and i'll have it sooner. obviously not in the 22mm/24mm though . Thanks for your help

Thanks resin what is the thickness of your S13 front and rears? i think i read you got the blade adjustable type? what is the difference with the blade adjustable type? Blade adjustable thicker? and how thick? i've emailed whiteline - and they werent very helpful - couldnt even recommend a s13 one. spoken to gary also - but i need these quicker than that - and also will be organising through one of my sponsors, and i think gary only wanted to sell through himself as it is his design (which is perfectly OK). thanks -Matt

one of the stagea guys is/was doing the same thing i think - there are diagrams in the FAST software or something from nissan with a bolt by bolt pics of assembly or alternatively to de-assemble it

hi there done a search, dug up some old threads - need some confirmation with some things! i'm looking at some whiteline adjustable swaybars - from what i've seen S13 and GTR both fit front and rear? Would the GTR be thicker? if not i'll just get S13 adjustable front and rear. what thickness is available (thickest possible)? what are part codes for the whiteline bits? thanks -Matt
-
Swaybar - whats standard thickness.

well i've fitted up a 3" front/dump off my cefiro onto the stagea - and it fits perfectly. this was with the stock cat back system only problem is i dont like it hehe... i dunno - coz its auto + exhaust noise, just doesnt do it for me. So i've decided to put the stocker back on and keep in cabin noise to 0! nothing else is new, just enjoying cruising around in it. Today the air temp sensor thingo read at 41 degrees!!! so bit hot today :S lol

even check with a test light. thats all i did in mine to find the common power for memory etc. and then check all the others with the accessories on (keys turned) to find another power wire. switch off ignition and check that power is off. shouldnt be too hard. sorry cant remember what colours specifically are for what in the std stereo loom bit.

yeah but if you wind the f**k out of it, (as i had to do with some tanabe coilovers which weren't base adjustable in the sil80) the spring isnt slightly compressed, but instead its hugely compressed; giving it less room to expand and close... therefore it isnt working how it is intended (for that rate) as it is in a smaller area. just what i'm thinking in my head anyway :S edit*** - yep simon knows what i mean so i'll add this if anyone gets confused i didnt mean you can adjust spring rates by more preload.
-
would look hot! maybe suss some 32 2dr from viva and put it up against the car to see how 'off' it is :S
-
my ISC's and my old HSD's were both S13 type and the car was low, but never had the problems you guys are talking about, so maybe just suss the adjustment. if its base adjustable set your preloads as much as you can by hand then use the C spanner to tighten it up a little more. this way the spring wont be loose over bumps etc. you dont wont it too tight, otherwise it would not be serving the purpose at the actual spring rate. (eg 8kg spring overtightened 'may' be more like 12k etc...). then measure up make sure other 3 are the same preload, and then adjust the base for the height. simplest way is to start from scratch with all 4 of them out. that way you can measure each one has the same preload and the height adjustments are the same. if you want me to talk more just ask
