huddy

hi there i need to be able to remove the headlight assembly both sides so i can fiddle with them, to get the H1 assembly bit out, and get the xenon's back in! i can easily see there are 2 screws on the top, but is there a step by step? such as does grill, airbox, battery, front bar need to be removed? and where are the other screws located for removal, pics would be very helpful thanks -Matt

as far as i'm aware its all standard stuff. white dials for S2 yes, they light up when it starts going dark, the darker it gets, the brighter the dash gets... its fully automatic. it just lights up the numbers only into a dull redish colour. one reverse light is red yes, i'm thinking that is coz its not a reverse light may fog light or something...

i'm looking at a max towbar, $550 not fitted, just wondering if anyone has pics of it, and where abouts it actually mounts. I've had a look under the car, and cant seem to find the suitable locations thanks -Matt

more pics updated also got my xenon's working!!! i just have to fit them now, also getting an alarm fitted on monday with mobile phone start :S

check the substitute parts section - it 'may' have some answers on what is compatible, but SydneyKid will be more than helpful with the whiteline stuff!

ADZ, if changing looms, you may need to change everything else to suit. i know that cefiro has 'square' style connectors (eg z32 afm fits straight in with same pinouts!) and 32 has round ones.... this may be a problem with all your other connections for water temp sender etc... i know coilpacks are ok, and inj are ok, but at the other end where they go into ignitor pack are no good. so unless you have got all the bits, i wouldnt bother. On another note i've had 2 different 32 remaps working in my car before, they were just not a suitable map (one was kelly's and other was a donnon one).

ok so, got some pics... steve/brendon, sorry didnt make it tonight... had issues with the cefiro not starting today (pushing it on my street at 7am trying to get it started, but no luck...) so no SCS for me. decided to stay home and fix it. enjoy the pics... it does look nicer in real life though

possibly just practice (no offence) - but with 205rwkw in my s5 rx7 (i know may've been a little lighter) when i had it i did a 12.9 @ 108 with 1.8 60ft with chromies on and the doof doof install in the boot... gear changes and getting that perfect start all helps. those other guys with the quicker times, how many times have they been out? good luck with it, hopefully you can get a flat 14, high 13?

hi there just started my car up, after a little while. Cold start up - oil pressure reading 80 (autogage smoked face, reading from oil filter relocator) but with it at cold it was jumping around from 60 - 90 very scattered though, not consistant, and sometimes staying at 80. bit unsure, i know that is reasonable pressure for cold start, but just not sure about the whole jumping less and more bit. Didnt want to drive it really without some feedback so just switched it off again. I'm running Motul 10w40 chrono 300V oil, and its a RB24 engine. I will check all electrical connections to make sure that is not the problem. thanks -Matt

hi there i have a misfire problem (cefiro, RB24det); that hopefully i have fixed. removed loom, found a lot of green goo on some connectors, so i've cleaned them, also extended the gtr resistor pack to a cooler location, and re-fitted loom. car starts up fine. but now i notice that the red light with squiggly lines above it is staying on, ( i think exhaust sensor) i checked that is connected and all good. all connections are good also. does the power FC make this light stay on if something isnt working properly? or should i ignore it? i did notice when i first got the car almost 2 years ago that it was on and off all the time, but only recently fitted the PFC and noticed it again thanks -Matt btw - i do not have a power FC commander

can anyone give a run-down on how to use it? thanks

hey guys firstly must say - Thanks for all the info and helping out with questions that i had, i can now say i'm officially a stagea owner! Bought a 99 RS4 - black - stock with set of rims / dvd player. (its MattD's car off of here) drove it back to SA from Vic yesterday and didnt miss a beat, very comfortable ride. i have a couple of questions though... 1 - the cargo barrier - how do i set it up, i have the book cover (retractable thing) do i need to remove this first? i tried today but couldnt figure it out, it just seemed too short. 2 - xenon bulbs - i have them, but how do i re-fit them to the car? i will try get pics up asap, just busy atm with getting it SA rego'd etc. thanks -Matt ***update pics page 2 ***
