  4. no spacers fitted at all? and much/any camber dialled in the front? really wanted 9's front and rear but might ahve to settle for 8's and it looks like it may not be too bad... :S

  8. yeah i 'was' thinking of doing a drive from SA to mildura but thats just open driving so changed my mind. now i've decided to do about 6 return trips (150km round trip) from my house to mannum in SA - goes through twisty roads but also has some open roads - so good for putting it under load etc but keeping off boost to start with

  11. interesting post i'm about to do this on a rb24 - new rings / bearings etc... only problem is that the car is mainly a track car and not registered - i will rego it to run it in though... has anyone else with a dedicated track car had any success with running a motor in - in as little time possible thanks
  12. i have also heard of this method - if you do a quick burst and change oil to get rid of fresh grindings etc... then drive it hard and it doesnt break - then it should be all good my engine builder is erm speak little english but i'll ask him thanks for the links

  14. hi guys i will have my motor assembled and fitted soon (well i better ) and i need to run it in.. major things are new bearings and new piston rings. i've been told that best way to do it is under some load and around 1000km's - but i recall some workshops have a sort of guide such as 0 - 100km - light throttle, 3psi max - no load 100km - 300km - medium throttle 5psi max - slight load etc etc etc (just an example) does anyone have any recommendations / breakdown such as this that could help me out? thanks -Matt

  16. i've been told that if u get a remap - some tuners can retune and alter your stock ecu so that there is no resistor needed :S anyone else heard of this? i think i may just get a stock gtr one
