$21,000 for an R34??
Fly_With_Sky replied to LiQuid IcE's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
looks a good car at a very good price. Perhaps it is being seen as a car with limited appeal so have put a low price down. If it is as good as it been described then it is a bargain... is a little on the cheap side we all would think but i have seen some r34 gt-t coupes going for 25-28K and some have slight mods so maybe people just want to sell because they need the cash. -
these idiots who go around particpating in illegal street races know that the CANNOT drive so dont want the embarrassment of the timeslip at places like WSID showing just how much they cannot drive... pi$$ off to america mand make your own fast and furious movie, we dont need people like that here

i think this thread has gone way out of control... but here is my 2cents... i have a greddy intercooler and it does a very good job, keeps the temp down. I have the v-spl cooler from nengun and it is cheaper than the r-spl cooler which is for high hp cars. I think a front mount intercooler is a necessary change if you plan to run any more than 10psi if you run 12-13psi through a std cooler with a high flow you will be losing power as the air will be too hot as the cooler wont be able to cope. especially if you have your foot down for a prolonged time. run 12-13psi through a decent front mount and you will feel the difference and it will show on a dyno. a heap of power will be unleashed. maybe you should think about getting all these mods (fmic, high flow, pfc, fuel pump) all done at once ...

i was in a gen III taxi last weekend and the taxi driver sure did give it some. I was suprised at how hard it pulled with 4 people in the car and it was auto. It felt faster than the 6pd gen III an uncle of mine used to own. maybe it felt faster coz i was a little intoxicated at the time. -
with a full exhuast boost would rise a bit but why keep stock boost with those mods, get an ebc or bleed valve, whichever you prefer, and boost it to 10psi and have a stock boost setting as well and bob's your uncle. should probably get around 175rwkw and series II motors usually get a couple more kw most of the time i have seen even though it is the same motor.
-
definitely no more than 10psi. after that the turbo would probably be out of its efficiency range aand with the stock intercooler not being the best (especially when you have the foot down for a long time) then it would get dangerously hot... dangersouly hot as in your ceramic wheel taking a stroll down the exhuast, so consider saving for a fmic as you will feel the difference and are guaranteed that it cools well

test drive the integra (ive always liked them but never been in a newer one - 02 model onwards) then see what you think of it, if you like it then why not exchange if you want something newer. however, if you still want a turbo sports car then an s15 or r34 isnt out of the question...
-
hope nobody was in the passanger seat if there wasnt then the driver is lucky his side didnt whack the tree. silly driving obviously looks like it was the cause of this, so in that case il take the front bar as it only has a chip and little scratch on it.
-
good result BOOMAU for a pretty stock car still. go the front mount and boost controller for sure, but there are many discussions on here as sydney kid said, and, they illustrate why an aftermarket ecu will not run the auto properly. maybe think about a safc instead, with this and all the mods you should still get good power.

dont u love women drivers?
Fly_With_Sky replied to kangz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
was she driving a small car because i find that young women who drive small cars drive like bloody maniacs. They are either extremely lucky or extremely skilled drivers the way the weave in and out of traffic. Although i cant say men are any better, coz they arent. -
Anyone test drove the new skyline?
Fly_With_Sky replied to Darren83's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i cant speak from experience, but everywhere i have read (except from the first post), the performance was said to be good. (engine is the vq30dd yes?) the car was supposed to be a refined, classy car so you shouldnt have got your hopes up too high before stepping into one. -
Automatic Transmission Shift Kit. - Updated Oct 2006
Fly_With_Sky replied to 4door_Sleeper's topic in Group Buys
i have a friend who had a stage 2 shift kit in his vr 5ltr and said that for every day driving it wouldnt be the best as the shifts are harder when driving slowly. so just how much firmer are the shifts? are they so much firmer that they get annoying or do they just take a little time to get used to or is it a case of many wouldnt even notice the difference? oh and our old valvebody's that we would send away we get back yes? and is it just as easy to put this stock valvebody back in? may seem silly but just would like to know just in case when it comes time to sell the buyer would like the auto in completely stock form even though this would be better than stock -
does the v spec r33 gtr hav any features
Fly_With_Sky replied to Let Me Drive's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yeh r33 gtr v-spec had an active rear lsd that the attesa pro controlled could control the torque split not only from front to rear but also from left to right for the rear wheels as already mentioned extra hydraulic pump for a-lsd whereas normal gtr just has hyraulic pump for 4wd and hicas, and apparently brake ducts are different also isnt the attesa ets pro used which is different from the normal gtr attesa and you can tell by the id plate as well as a v-spec as a different letter in it compared to normal gtr. thats what i remember because i only read an article about it not too long ago... -

Fly_With_Sky replied to 4door_Sleeper's topic in Group Buys
i would like one of these kits but dont have funds for any more mods at present so please keep me informed on when this group buy will actually take place as well as price, how to pay etc -
oh this might help your decision a little... a GTR is one of the most tunable cars on the planet
-
:uzi: guys unsure if i can make it atm hopefully things will change so i can come coz i want to
-
because its an r34, the king of them all... still rare so costs are still high. Also there will be the pleasure of owning one of the best cars ever to be produced...its an affordable supercar when compared to lambo's and ferrari and porsche u can always go an r33gtr if you dont want to go wrx again...or an s15? hope your choice brings rewards

as long as the changes are better and quicker and reliability is still tip top, im still in knore where could i get a hold of that zoom article? should provide a good read...

A World without Skylines & other Imports...
Fly_With_Sky replied to nismo818's topic in General Automotive Discussion
id take a c200 kompressor. Id be happy with that... or if i wanted to save a few dollars an accord euro. but if i felt patriotic, xr6t -
i would also be interested in a group buy if one was organised. Please continue posting anything relevant to these shift kits as i have been thinking about getting one but havent got around to researching them or figuring out where to get one from. Is the reliability of the box still the same eg at low rpms does it jerk from 1st to 2nd or is it just like the normal shift quailty? I know next to nothing about these kits except that they shift faster and 'better' than the normal auto...
