Funnier still. I ran a 13.1 over two years ago now, at Calder. I have the time slips if you want them. They should even be on the fullboost site. This was before the engine rebuilt with stronger internals and other goodies to suit. Not bad for something you said that is unreliable, over heats, rusts and shit. I wonder how long your skyline will last with the several interstate trips I've done with my i-R between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. I haven't ran it since then but I happily spank a 12.7 R32 GTR with me running less boost (1 bar) than I have it tuned for (1.4 bar) ... this was because the GTR was running 1 bar. Yet to overheat, rust, and install a big ass stereo in the hatch. Hell, I even have the crappy 14" steel wheels on it.

I don't have a new turbo. It's actually 40k-50k km's old. Ula has the PFC and Cam Gears (not cams) You're running stock? Cause a stockish GTS-t cannot beat a stockish i-R if both drivers are on the ball.

Yeah, apparently it reads low. But Ula's dyno output coincides with his 1/4 mile time. I dunno, but are you really that eager to get beat edit: my spalling sucked

Taken at the same dyno? I don't place too much trust in dyno figures. It's too easy to fudge figures. As for your 13 second 1/4 mile, many 4WD turbos (2.0l) on street can easily crack the 12's nowadays. Esp around Melb. Nope, keeping it now.

I don't know what's funnier. The fact that you're now making up crap that Ula's R32 ran a 15 second or the fact that you only ran a 14 sec (14.5 @ 98mph) First of all. Ula's slowest run was a 13.9. This was because be launched at a paultry 3000rpms. He DIDN'T crack into the 12's until he launched at 7000-8000rpm. He's 13 second runs we're due to the fact he was launching like a bitch. I know, I was there. As for your 14.5 second 1/4 mile time at 98 mph. GOOD LUCK cracking the 13's with that terminal speed. You can make up all the excuses about traction but everyone who has the slightest idea about terminal speeds will tell you that it determinines what times you should be getting. 98mph isn't good enough to crack the 13's with rwd. Stick to color coding your door handles.

Wow, by that definition the McLaren F1 must be craploa too! Not to mention the numerous other supercars not in GT3. Lets see, there's the F40, F50...wow, the list goes on with these craploa cars. Btw: Are you old enough to drive? My bet, NO! Don't bother replying, just enjoy GT3 and pretend you've driven a car on boost.

INANST, you're from Melbourne, you should know Ula with the black R32 GTR. Talk to him about my GTi-R sometime. If you're not convinced, next time I'm back in Melbourne I'd love to race you. edit: I remember you know, you were at Calder Park Drags sometime last year. Didn't you run a 14 second quarter mile? As if you could beat a GTiR with 150kw at all 4. A std one puts out about ~100kw at all 4. Something with 150 should be mid to low 13's at least. I bet Ula can vouch for your 14 second qtr mile too, he ran a 12.7 that day. I was there.

Well said wrxkilla (whelan?). I've owned my GTi-R now for over two years. My friend (who earns more money) decided he'd get himself the bigger brother. We went around looking at an R32 GTR. So obviously I've driven both. And obviously we all know which car is better all around. This is so for a reason, besides the obvious price tag. And I agree with wrxkilla, I do look up to the GTR. But this is not to say a GTR vs a GTi-R is a one sided contest (in a straight line - my car's needs suspension work I've reeled him in over and over again when getting the jump on me off the line. He can vouch for this. He's on this forum. (I just hope he reads this post For the record, he's car's only mildly modified. PowerFC Boost (1+ bar) via an AVC-R Cam gears 3.5" exhaust cat back K&N filters Mine's got a wee bit more work done to it. But I bet I've still spent less all up on the car + mods.

14.5 isn't slow, but it's not fast either...a reckon a similarly modded GTiR (to your car) will still be quicker down the 1/4 due to traction and power/weight. Either way, there are plenty of GTi-R's running about nowadays, you might find me next to you one day. And trust me, I'll will try and race you. Pretty good turn out. We had a lot of 180/silvia's turn up for the run. But nonetheless, it was a great cruise. Props to Dr. Drift for organising the cruise. On the way back when we decided to split from you guys Ula happened to break something. His car was towed back from Lorne to his place. At the moment it looks like a blown turbo. I'll post a URL when I upload them (and I'm not so pissed)
