James: My brother told me Ula was driving like a pansy throughout most of it. Could have something to do with the fact he once had to get his car towed home from Lorne. He can fill you in when he reads this post and abuses me over the phone. Lucky for him my brother and I had our cars to go on an interesting drive on the way back home in the dark. Those corners come plenty fast in the dark, esp when they're blind!

It does matter! MS Dev Studio keeps picking it up! I have to keep telling it to ignore it! Doesn't worry me, I use Lynx to browse anyway.

Holy sh¡t, I think I see my brother in these pics. I thought they got left behind. Or did Ula get left behind on the way home? (Ula: Wind up the boost bitch!)

    You got left behind dude
  12. Well assuming it is the release bearing, it's just a matter of time before it fails. Oh, one more thing, it could also be the input shaft.
  13. Sounds like a release bearing. Cheap part, but labour isn't Make sure to get a genuine Nissan item.
  14. Thanks BigDatto, but I already know about mobile.box.sk Infact, the Box network is great for a lot of stuff Besides, you need to have a data cable specifically for upgrading the phone software. And I don't believe the mobils.box.sk site has software for flashing DCT4 mobile phones. FYI: It's a 7210 with software version 3.08. I need the software version 4.18.
  15. They test it at 2/3rds (can't remember exact figure) of the of the (stock) engine's maximum power output rpm.
  16. Does anyone know where I can get my phone's software upgraded in ACT? I've called the 4 (that's right 4) mobile phone repairs and services places in my yellowpages search and they all send it up to Sydney. I want someone who can do it on the spot.
  17. Wow, what a complete turn around, just the other day I was deaf and unbelievable
  18. My BOV is mounted in the factory position and in factory pipe work. I do, however, have a FMIC with extra pipe work. But with the factory plumbing to/from the BOV my car does indeed make this flutter.
  19. Yeah, besides, you can't be wrong I've been living in a fantasy land for almost 3 years with my car
  20. How about you come over here and visit me. I'll run an example for you. Here's how I'll do it. I'll start my car, put her in neutral and leave the handbrake on. I'll pop my bonnet, rev the thing to say 4000-5000rpms. Air filter makes a flutter noise. (Car didn't make boost, bov doesn't open) Now, we do it again. This time I rev to 7500rpms. Car will build boost (<5psi), BOV opens. Two noises can be heard. One you already have heard, the air filter. The other is the BOV. Take note of the noises. Go for a drive, take note of the noises upon releasing the throttle, sounds exactly like the BOV. Still don't believe me, then that's your problem.
  21. Really, maybe I'm deaf because my bov has been making this sound for almost 3 years now. (edit) P.S. I know its the bov because I've had it on dyno's. I can easily see the bov shaking when the throttle is closed in accordance to the flutter. This noise is made wheter or not I recirc it or vent to atmo.
  22. Ermm, dunno, but my girlfriend carries one around in her handbag. P.S. Sorry mate, can't make it to your birthday bash in Melb.
  23. This sounds like something that happened to me and Ula just a little over a year ago. Speeding along the Western Ring Road (near Macca's) They didn't produce proof. Just threatened us. Ula even got threatened with court and lossing his car (of course, it's a skyline). I just got told that my car wasn't a sports car and I shouldn't be driving so fast (haha, love that) Anyway, they said, we'd get it in the mail a month later. Nothing happened, Ula can probably elaborate. P.S. Ula was behind me, 'trying' catch me. (Suck it down, b¡tch)
  24. The Blitz BOV on my car does make some sort of psshhh sound. Only under higher boost (ie 14psi and up). Under this it will make a flutter noise. The spring on the BOV has a very high rate, I've even got the BOV on the softest setting.
