  1. Does anyone know where I can buy new or used parts either in Australia or overseas? My stereo has had it, which means my fan controls can't be used and I don't really want to replace the whole fascia and get a new stereo. Also my passenger side window only rolls up and down intermittently and I would like to have that fixed too.
  2. Gah that's exactly what I was hoping it's not. Lots of threads talking about replacing them yourself in this forum, but that's a no go for me. Any idea of what something like that costs at a mechanic?
  3. My central locking has progressively been getting worse over the past few months. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Now it's gotten to the point where it never works. My headlights still flash as it arms and disarms the alarm, and my boot still opens consistently. I thought it was the battery in the key fob, but I changed it, and apparently not. Some guy at Battery World tested my car battery, and said it needed recharging, that my short trips to work and back were draining the battery. This sounds plausible, except that I have no issue starting my car. Surely starting the car uses more battery power than unlocking and locking the doors? Or are our cars so smart that it diverts power that even when the battery is so low that the central locking doesn't work, that you can still start the car? I bought a low power battery charger, and after 12 hours of charging, still no luck. But then again it might take a few days of charging to be full. Did I get ripped off? Does the central locking go before the ability to start the car does?
  4. Mine got a little bit scratched up and are yellowing a little too. I was wondering what they are called and where I can buy them from? Here's a photo if you don't know what I mean.
  5. The dealer I bought my v35 from never included an owners manual or log book, and as my first service is coming up, I would really like some professional type log book to keep my records in, for when I decide to sell the car. Searching online, even looking on the Infiniti sites, I can't find anywhere that sells log books. Does anyone know where I can get one? Or what do you guys use?
  6. Yup, it's exactly above my left knee. Does yours have the oh so professional, half-peeling off sticker too?
  7. Well if some fad following Japanese dude had one added after the fact, might explain everything.
  8. Ohhh I have a vague memory of some Japanese cars having ionic air purifiers. You could be right.
  9. Nah there are no buttons or anything around it whatsoever. Also, it's never lit up before, but now flashes constantly when I drive. I don't think it's a proximity sensor.
  10. A light has recently started flashing when my engine is turned on. I largely ignored it before because it never lit up. It's obviously a mod, since that's a sticker on it, and it's also not in the owners manual. It's located on my dash, just below the steering wheel. Any ideas on what it may be? The car was owned by someone in Japan before me.
