Thanks Peter
Darton sleeves might be the best option then. As the moto goes, do it once, do it right...
It's a track only car and we are looking to push 600HP + at the flywheel with up to 30PSI of boost
I've emailed JHH Racing here in Bris to get their thoughts and provide a quote...
Few Tomei bits n pieces now in the house
Been waiting on the sump baffle for the sump extension, can now get this under way! 8.5L here we come
Anthony, it's looking like we'll be going to 87mm.
N1 block
Nitto pistons
Nitto H beam rods
Nissan 'long nose' (revised) crank
Tomei pump
Got the head and block pulled down and dropped off to the mechanic so the real work can begin
Parts have been slowly coming in, will get some photos up asap.
This is the stuff dreams are made of!! Simply beautiful work Ryan. Someone knows what they're doing, well done sir.
Very interested to know who is doing all the fabrication work?
Thanks for the heads up Simon, appreciate it. Are you running it or have just heard of a few cases?
I have never had a front diff failure...has anyone out there had first hand experience with this? I'm wondering how much damage is done when they fail....?
If just strips or munches the diff gears and makes bad noises then I can live with that but if it's going to destroy the sump/diff housing as well that's a different story!! It would be dump not to upgrade while the motor is out now and save the heartache!
I see JustJap have the Quaife diff on their website for $1,800 which is no doubt not cheap...

Who has purchased one of the above and where was the best deal??
Bit of an update below:
Head off and will continue stripping
Sump off and getting cleaned up for extension
Final clean to do then acid wash
Just picked up one of these

Thanks again!! Don't know how I missed that one
Mmmm the HKS one is about $160 cheaper compared to Midori Seibi.........
Do you currently have the ss Midori? I would be interested in it if you are going to upgrade to TI....
Fuel system set up is now ordered. Went through Julian @ Aftermarket Industries. Very helpful and from what I've heard very high quality products, should arrive after Christmas!
Thanks Anthony, great input as always, appreciate it.
On another note, quick question re front pipes:
Does anyone do a 2 x 2.75in into 3.5in front pipe??
HKS do 2 x 2.75in into 3.35in which is pretty fkn annoying
