Post up some pics of what you are looking at and the car so we can make an informed opinion......
  2. You will miss it terribly Mud and you know it. Even the comfort of the V35 won't replace it!! You can ride in mine now and then if you feel the urge.
  3. Heheheheheheeh Boo, is that all you have got to say?? You can do much better. And Markimak, they are all on another forum. Shanef is still the same, flames everyone with little or no regard for anyones feelings, but it is funny.
  4. I enjoyed the day immensely once again. Just didn't want to scratch the week old paint, but did anyway..... The trip home was interesting as I over-heated and was worried I had done something terminal, but it has turned out to be the radiator cap and now she is running fine again. Cannot wait for the next one also. Need to get more 'lines involved as we need to show the general population that we are able to handle the added responsibility of owning these wonderful cars.
  5. Geebus this place is dead!!! Where is everybody???
  6. Yeah, heard good things about AAPT, like no contracts, good speed and big download limits. Will have a look definitely.
  7. I wish I could youtube....... bloody dial-up........ hopefully won't be long and I will have ADSL again!! Anyone heard or experienced some good deals for ADSL???
  8. Who installed your Haltech?? And how long did you think it would take, and how long did it actually take?? Was the Haltech new or did you supply it used? Did it come with the loom? I love Allstar and as most will know, I plug them on here every chance I get. But if you have a problem with Richo's work or his pricing, talk to Richo!! I have never received a nasty surprise from Allstar, as I ask first!!! Any deviation from the quote will be Ok'ed by me before work is done, and my Haltech took 5 days to install and tune and I stood and watched 3 of those days purely out of curiosity. It should take that long and the 5th day is so a cold start on the dyno can be tuned. Any further tuning is purely fine stuff to get you more enjoyment out of your car. And finally, if you don't like their service, go elsewhere and make sure you whinge about them too, as they will be worse. And Shane, the ear rubbing wasn't tried but it will be. And the things I tried were the "nice" ones.......
  9. I am here at Allstar as we speak having the same problems rectified. It seems that the upgraded software for the Haltech E11V2 is the problem and it doesn't readily show any problem on the dyno. But when you drive it on the street (which I did with Richo in the car to demonstrate) He was ready to believe all I had said was wrong. He has spoken to Haltech and they have given him some ideas on how to fix it. Will keep you posted. And Shanef, I am going to beat you and rub your ears for a full minute!! Get a car on the road and then we will talk about good and bad tuners!!
  10. Well I will be damned!!! How the hell did you make it another year?? Glad you did. Best wishes for many more and I hope to see you soon. Dave
  11. Wub you Anna!! Will miss you a heap and I will see you soon. Stay safe and don't shank anyone who might not go down in one plunge!!!
  12. Now Spilmer, don't you think I have tried that??? Been to 2 Nissan dealerships and they didn't have any in that colour or feel like ringing the others to help me out as I wasn't buying one. I even lied to the second one and he didn't seem to care as I wasn't buying off him!!
  13. Unless an exceptional colour comes forward and volunteers itself, "Carbon Silver" has won the rights to my car!!! The current model 350Z is the best car to view it on if anyone can find it. If it is a good picture, can you post it up or send it to me please. Need all I can find for reassurance.
  14. I second that!!! May it go on until I die!!!!
  15. I know they are out there as I got mine (series 2 R33) and they are the same as the S14 Pulsar!!! But check first. I know there are adjustables for around $220 a pair available. Ring Allstar Tuning as Richo had an example sitting around for ages at his old workshop. May still be available. 32657185.
  16. Hey Karen, can your FAST software get me the code for the 350Z Carbon Silver???
  17. My "simple respray" will be around the $4500 mark. But I have watched them work on a 350Z and it was magic. Have already spoken to me about the window rubbers as they are certain the old ones will break on removal. They were very helpful with all my questions and were recommended by people I respect. I didn't want a $2k bodgy job. I want a paint job I will want to take care of. Like Karen's. Dave P.S. The 350Z silver is bloody beautiful and winning so far. And the new HSV "Morpheus" was a candidate for a while, but seeing as how I'm just doing an outside respray, it wasn't viable. Pretty though!!
  18. Hey Paul. I would like to volunteer as usual. I will probably help out with the BBQ as well.
  19. Frank, I am now updating to a 1+1 please. And everyone had better be nice!!! I won't hesitate to render you unconscious if you misbehave.......
  20. I am in........ I think I am always in and should be an automatic booking unless otherwise stated!!
  21. B&I at Geebung are doing it. Several show cars I know were done there. If I can find the paint, they will put it on. If it becomes a case of applying blue pearl over the base, then it gets more expensive.
  22. My car and it's infamous bonnet are now booked in to be painted the week after the Skidpan. My dilemma is that I had an idea in my head to paint the car in it's original silver and then have a blue pearl over the top. This is VERY expensive and it would be much simpler and cheaper to find a new car with a silver/pearl paint and just give B&I the name of the car and colour and they will find it and paint my car. So I need ideas and examples of current model (or within the last few years) cars that are silver with a metallic or pearl undertone. I am looking at the new BA Falcon today as this series has a nice silver pearl. Have also been told that Mazda has a colour in the 6 range as well. Thanks for any help. Dave
  23. Just be aware that if you raise the boost on a standard ECU, it will eventually start to exhibit "flat spots" as the ECU tries to save the engine from perceived "dangerous boost levels" Not really a big deal, but it will drive you crazy eventually. I agree with Eug, the suspension is a good starting point as the car is already quick, just needs to handle and stop. Then you can play with exhaust and fmic. Then get a aftermarket ECU and go to town!!!! Bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump. Then open up the engine and fit forgies and cams. And about now you will realise that what you have done is made a RB25 about as good as a stock 2J. Not having a go, I own a Rb25 too!!!
  24. Jeebus!!!! I hope they can handle all of us. Their waitresses are not the sharpest tools in the shed....... That is how Col and I got a garlic pizza last time. Was fantastic, but not what we ordered.
  25. You might think about Allstar at Geebung too. I love their work.
