Pear, the shoulder is still sore and I have either a bone bruise or a small chip. Either way, 2 weeks and it will be fine. Dislocated right pinkie finger which went straight back in and only hurts now if I clench a fist. Didn't drink nearly enough on Saturday/Sunday due to the losing bit, but I feel OK.

Well, my day WAS going to start with some tennis to try and get the muscles out of soreness mode. Then on the way out I checked the mailbox and found a big white envelope with the word "Solicitor" on it. My day went decidedly downhill from there....... see you all tonight. Anyone know a good Family Law Solicitor????

John, I'm amazed at your absolutely care-free attitude to this event. If someone followed me, I would pull over only in a very public place if at all. And one day you will chase the wrong dude and he will get out of the car and A. Throttle you. B. Throttle you and take your car. Or C. He will be your favourite off-duty cop and he will throttle you and throw you in jail. Your actions only perpetuate the road-rage phenomena. Yes, there are fools on the road, but two wrongs don't make a right. Be the bigger man and let it slide.

Just to allay some fears, the route will be clearly marked on the map supplied on the day and there will be at least 2 catch-up points on the way. These also allow some great photo opportunities. But the UHF will be the saviour of most so do your best to get one for the day. Some people have two of the little cheap units and may offer to loan them to others or even "rent" them out with proceeds going to the Charity???

Home now........ feeling good, except for the pain....... shoulder is pretty bad, but nothing a lot of good drugs won't fix!! Off to the team breakfast now which should go until about noon tomorrow. Celebrations are a bit muted after the loss, but we played our hearts out and lost to a bigger and better team on the night. Thanks once again to all the guys and gals who turned up to watch. And yes, you were so loud!! As to retirement....again..... we will see.

Thank you all for your kind comments and support. (even the "old man" comments..... truth hurts I guess) Now to the silly part of this game. It is now 11.30 am and my game is at 6pm. I am leaving for the field soon....... silly isn't it, but I need to get the whole team organised and there are official duties I have to perform like returning the Championship Trophy to the League so they can give it back in a couple of hours hopefully!! Yeah, V-power Racing replaced the Shell Optimax Extreme and is still 100 octane. But, the pumps that dispense it are prone to problems as they aren't used to the ethanol yet and are often broken. It goes well in our cars!!

I'm out this week as it is a little far to drive....... On a reef, 50km's off Townsville. Dinner is Coral Trout! I don't like Lobster but they are on the menu too after a quick dive down to the reef. Scared the crap out of me, but glad I did it!! Also, IN for the Regatta next week!!
