  1. The box is purely to keep the engine bay heat out. The piping from underneath is added to the inlet at the top-front of the box, just better positioned than the standard air box. Two inlets are better than one!!
  2. So is there anything you can do for the S2 R33's?? I don't want to go the whole aftermarket ECU track yet. Dave
  3. Is it a manual??? If so, where can I see it? Dave
  4. I am keen to do the same thing as the heat soak is getting to be a problem on these cold mornings when stopped at lights. Confuses the hell out of the stock air flow meter! The tubing is a good start but I really need to get the cold air box made soon. I am going for a custom carbon fibre job from a guy in Geebung called Custom Carbon. Great guy and his ability with carbon fibre is amazing. Good prices too. Any chance of some pictures to show what was done? Dave
  5. Any chance of a picture?? Would like to grab a spare as there were some deep gouges in mine when I got it and the FMIC install added a few more! Dave
  6. It is called "Impact Councelling" And if the alleged offender does get some quality inside time, I hope he comes to me!!! Dave
  7. I'm in. Will think of some questions for the guys. Dave
  8. Are you sure Silver is not the NEW White?????
  9. I've been offered a beautiful set of wheels and tyres at an unbeleivable price, but they couldn't supply the 18" package so offered me the 19"s at the same price. Is this a good idea as my suspension is pretty tight as it is. What are replacement tyres worth?? Any help appreciated. Dave
  10. I just leave the rear alone. If the light comes on I get Fulcrum to do it. Bob Jane can do the front but they should not be let near the HICAS!! Dave
  11. I'm trying to talk my wife into accepting my R33 GTS-T as her own if I can buy your GTR!! Still working on it... Dave :aroused:
  12. Damn!!! My first drag event! Was a bit nervous on the first run (so nervous I left the air-con on!!) Cyrrus was certain I would beat him, but there was little chance with a 2.5 reaction time and an et of 15.046!! Second run was little better with the car spinning until the 330ft mark!! (18.660!!) Got a lot better after some advice from a workmate who just happens to do security at the track. No burnout and take off at the last orange! 14.7 et. Best of my night was a 14.6 et. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be doing it again. Dave

    Day Cruise

I'm in for the 18th!! Love the shift work!! Allows so much time off for my car.
  14. Parked outside the Story Bridge Hotel last night and directly across the road was a Solver R33 GTS-T Series 2 IDENTICAL TO MINE!! What are the odds.... And it wasn't Shawns either.
  15. Either way, I'm in!! Just need to beat Predator.... maybe.... hopefully not break car again! Bringing it on a trailer this time just in case...
  16. Hey Paul, is this a separate day to the one for May 9th?? Or is my brain FUBAR?? Dave
  17. I must get a good photo and post it as my avatar!!
  18. Well, I can TELL you about the factory options that were on it when I bought it a year ago. It continues to evolve at a steady pace. This may also come in handy.
  19. Touche! I was sooooo glad I could fix it on the spot and drive home. Wife was staring daggers at me. That is, once she noticed I had stopped..... just sitting there reading a book while her brave husband did battle on the ashphalt!
  20. A great day and a good learning experience for any Skyline owner. Find out your limitations and those of your car in a controlled environment. Also, letting us all loose was like a free grab in a candy store!! Highly recommended and maybe something the SAU-Qld would be interested in?? Dave
  21. I can probably arrange that, but the chances of any of them getting jail time is miniscule. You have to be over 30, kill someone, or be on your 4th armed robbery to get jail these days. Dave
  22. Faster? Handle better? Than an R33!! Just because they are a little lighter, doesn't mean they are any of the above. What was your time around QR?? And try not to blame the auto......
  23. Welcome, first, beware of Cyrus, have met him once and am already worried..... Just kidding, great guy and loads of info on 'lines. Am in the same shire, southern end tho. Silver R33 S2. Still looking for a good alarm myself, but a good, well hidden imobiliser is very effective if you just want them to leave most of the car where you parked it!! Dave
  24. Seeing as we have almost identical cars, I would love to have a look at your car and compare. I will be going on Ska's cruise on Thursday but I am Batching at the moment so Monday or Tuesday nights are good also. Are you on the Northside or the OTHER side?? Dave
