  1. update for the couple of guys who have pm'ed me. price drop $700 negotiable coilovers are being taken off the car as we speak and will be available tomorrow 18th June. A couple of quick iPhone piccies:
  2. regarding expected power: HKS claim 30% increase in power over stock and 40% increase in torque. ie ~270kw up from 208kw standard, that is around 220-240kw@wheels depending on dyno..thats without opening up the engine. i dont think the VQ series is any worse than any other N/A engine in terms of tolerance to forced induction, however i completely agree there are platforms/engines out there with higher potential for less outlay
  3. sounds like the day was a success! whens the next one?
  4. most important= oil temp: you dont want oil exceeding 130degC oil pressure: if you ever have an oil leak, the pressure will start dropping - good to know before you run out of oil and dammage internals.
  5. i know of a couple of guys running low-boost forced induction on VQ35s with no dramas for 60,000kms+ including multiple trackdays, not sure the bottom end is 'unreliable' scotty? the HKS kit runs peak 7psi boost - sure it is more stress on the engine, i wouldnt expect 200,000kms+ of trouble-free running like a standard/light tune engine, but it should still be reasonable. to the op: use the search function, theres a few supercharged V35s on SAU. ..of which mine is one if youre serious, get a quote for the kit, then add a couple of grand for install, tuning, ancilliaries (VQ's run a bit hot as standard, let alone with forced induction) ps there are two kits available, base and Pro kit. Pro kit requires you to get your own ecu, injectors, fuel pump etc etc..base kit comes with FconS i beleive, and 2 additional injectors to use with your existing standard ones..
  6. updates... a few goodies for the Skyline coming my way soon
  7. chargespeed rear lip? mine is currently on its way from japan
  8. a friend of mine has had his update model auto V35 350GT sedan (the kouki 2005+ models were only available as 6mt or 5at, the problematic CVT dissapeared) for 6 years and has had absolutely no issues, reliable, well built and fairly cheap to maintain. ive had my V35 coupe for over a year and similarly impressed. The VQ35DE is an excellent engine,so good Nissan use variants of it in a wide range of their cars, including Skyline,350Z,Stagea,Maxima,Murano,Fuga,Cefiro,Elgrand, and a bunch of Infiniti models. The guy who you spoke to at the dealer is talking shit.
  9. i'd recommend Sinergy on Main North rd, they do all my service and tuning. They have a lot of experience with V35.
  10. the pic you posted has a car with an aftermarket front bar as well as the splitter. i was also interested in getting a front splitter for my car. can't find anything off the shelf though. TopStage composites (www.topstage.com) do a very nice one but a full diffuser will cost close to $2k - a bit too much for me since the main attraction for me was how it looks! (although it needs to be functional too!) APR performance (www.aprperformance.com) do one in the states but shipping would be very expensive.
  11. also theres this on carsales: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-2003-12637748?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=5&eapi=2&__N=4294739354%201622%201246%201252%201247%201282%204294963846%204294963593%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&sort=Price never seen the car in person but the spec sheet looks pretty nice. Power Enterprise Twin Turbo kit!
  12. HKS GTS7040 supercharger kit.best quality, best fitting kit available. vortech/capa are pretty crude, depends on if you care about fit, finish, quality. if not they will do the same job as the HKS one for less money i guess. my skyline has the 7040PRO kit, PM me if you have any questions.
  13. thanks.500 is a bit too low.will post up pics once they are off the car.if youre a serious buyer PM me
  14. Hi Guys posted this up in the for sale section, but in case you miss it: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/424626-sa-bilstein-coilovers-for-v35-skyline-coupe/ Used, good condition, no leaks. Height and dampening adjustable coilovers with Bilstein (front) and Hyperco (rear) springs. Eoi at this stage as they are still on the car. Will update when they are off the car.
  15. EOI: Skyline 350GT coupe (V35) Bilstein Height and Dampening adjustable coilovers. Unsure of spring rates, springs are Bilstein (front) and Hyperco (rear) Used Good condition No leaks Currently still installed on my car, however I am ordering a new set of coilovers from japan in the next few days. (even higher spec - Aragosta or Zeal) The picture shows the ride height as it is currently, about as high as you can go. there is a lot of room to go much lower if you like that sort of thing. $800 or near offer. I will update once they are off the car.
  16. car not for sale. moderators please delete.
  17. not for sale..i like her too much, i'm keeping!!
  18. update: thinking of selling the V35.. on carsales here: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-2003-14775140?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=2&eapi=2&__N=4294739354%201622%201246%201252%201247%201282%204294963846%204294963593%20901%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&sort=default
  19. Hi Everyone I'm considering selling my 2003 Skyline 350GT coupe. Amongst other things it has a complete HKS GTS7040 Supercharger kit, Sard Injectors, Endless big brake kit, Bilstein coilovers, and WedsSport SA67R wheels. Located in Adelaide. Link to carsales ad here: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-2003-14775140?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=7&eapi=2&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294963846%204294963593%20901&num=15&silo=Stock&items=%5bBaseEnabledBadge%3a350GT%5d&sort=default
  20. so,any updates mate? did you decide on what you are getting? another option, rather than DR30, have you considered early HR30 coupe? L28 bored and stroked to 3.1, lumpy cam and big carbs, and with the early model coupes at barely 1100kg ish would be a sweet ride!
  21. i will also be getting a front camber kit for my cpv35.. definitely i'd go with the best quality item you can get, these are not parts you want braking under fatigue! i was looking at the cusco A-arms..the SPL Pro stuff from the US seems to be top quality too..are the SPC A-arms adjustable by spacer or screw-type? MoonFaceRacing (MFR) make the SuperLap A-arm for V35 but it doesnt look like an adjustable one? anyone have info on this? Anyone else used cusco adjustable camber kit on their V35? if so opinions?
  22. yes pn mad is referring to the weird 350Z tuned by 'Ultimate' in the article.. anyway, it is from back in '05 and a lot has changed in tuning since then. still, to get back on topic, how cool is the MCR V35 pulling sub 2 mins at FSW?! very cool.
  23. there are many different models of bridgestone potenza, with grip and performance levels as varied as the performance difference between a non turbo automatic skyline and a skyline gtr
  24. @PN mad: ah yes that usdm twin throttle one...that car is awful ! and about 20s a lap off the pace! agree with you 100% there. (didnt see that one at first, im not at my sharpest on night shift)
