Don't worry about it. Im on my black and still get tail gated and experience dick heads on the road. On thing I like to do is if they tail gate me down my street (main road, one lane each way though) an pretty much stop to turn in to my drive way which is on the crest of a hill. It pisses them off so much (I indicate from about 30m away just so they know im preparing to turn in). Apart from that, there's not much you can do except ignore them and just stick to the speed limit if that's what your comfortable with. PS If your travelling fast enough (ie freeway) and someones sitting up your arse, now is the perfect time to clean your windscreen. I've found that they don't enjoy the dirty water flying over my roof and on to their windscreen, but what can ya do

If they did produce it, i'm sure they would cut out all that fancy shmancy shite like tv screen. Either way, it's an interesting CONCEPT (which is what it is meant to be). Like someone else said... The Monaro was never going to be produced...

Hi guys, just saw on the Motor Show web site that Holden has unveiled the new Torana concept... I think it's based on a GM sports concept but it's packing the 3.6l V6... with TWIN TURBOS. Claimed power is 280kW. I'm not sure how the drive train is set up, but i'd assume it to be FR (i hope anyway). Apparently there will be a full write up in tomorrows Daily Telegraph Cars Guide. Cheers.

glad to know these guys are reliable (all bar one little slip up) because my gf lives in Castle Hill, so i can get stuff done to it there, and she can drive me around -
How much of your skyline do you own???
nmcmahon83 replied to DAN00H's topic in General Automotive Discussion
By my calculations, i own about 52.50% of my 'line. However, this is due to the fact I originally wanted an S13 Silvia so I got a loan for $12k and planned to spend my $6k i'd saved for mods... but as it turns out, I spent it all on my R33 and now have to save for mods. Ohwell. Car loans are crap. I see my money go in every second wednesday, comes out again every second thursday lol. -
Hehe good luck getting it registered in NSW.

Hmmm... how much does a laser operator get? I would have thought it was a decent sum of money. I guess if you can do it yourself, why pay for it ey? Nice work. -
im not sure about R32's but my R33 automatically locks the passenger door above 20km/h... maybe this is the device that controls it???

The thing that worries me is that it's Daddy's money. Therefore, you don't have to work for it and as such, will not be responsible in it (seen it a lot of times before). Please don't get a Skyline.

Hi guys, picked up my Blitz system this weekend, had an attempt to put it on today, but lost to a few tight bolts... (might try again soon, but dont think im going to get anywhere). So my question is... Where is somewhere in Newcastle (preferably near king st) that will put it on for me? I work in NEwcastle so thats the most convenient, if not I'll just have to wait til next weekendand get the guys at TM to do it. Cheers.

Challenges involed installing turbo back exhaust??
nmcmahon83 replied to nmcmahon83's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Cheers... sounds like I may be out of my depth, but I have nothing to lose so i'll give it a shot haha... where would I get this 'tube of stuff' from hehe? I'll talk to the guys at autobarn (gf's friend) and i'l lsee if he has any stuff like it. Anyone else got suggestions? -
People with slimline plates
nmcmahon83 replied to nmcmahon83's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I'm pretty sure they are a bit wider, although I have only looked at slim line plates for the last 3 years of my life (all our cars have personalised plates) so i couldn't say for sure. Either way, they are wider than jap plates -
Hi guys, I'm pretty new to all this modding stuff, and I'm planning on having a crack at puting on my Blitz turbo back exhaust this weekend. I have my brother and father telling me i'll need a hoist, but I never listen to them anyway. Could people out there give me any suggestions/pointers as to how to go about this as I am not the most competant person with a socket wrench Cheers.

Sydneykid, that's 2 beers this lunchtime... hope your workplace isn't as strict as mine

Cheers. Thanks for the input... seems like they may be pretty close after all...

I have an intriguing question... How have you guys mounted it to the front bar?? I have an R33 with M-spec bar (not that that matters) and i find the plate is too wide for the slot... at this stage i have just tried to pad in behind it, but its not going to well and the paint has been scraped from the pressure by the number plate. I have noticed that my mums B4 has a similar situation, but she has some kind of bracket behind which makes the number sit further forward, hence not rubbing against the paint... I hope you guys know what i'm talking about, just wondering if anyone has some suggestions for me. Cheers.

you have to multiply it by the distance away from the load object... whatever that is... might be the radius of your wheels, but that sounds too low. I've never understood how torque applies to cars... I think its how many apples it can move a metre or something lol... I'm digressing... basically, the 800Nm is too high, there is a distance in there, hopefully someone else can tell u what that is.

Hi All, Something my drunken friend said to me the other night got me thinking... I've never really been interested in the 300zx and was just wondering how they stacked up performance wise to an R33 GTS-t... He doesnt know alot about cars and thoguht cos it was twin-turbo he'd kill me... :Bang: I just smiled. Anyway, how do they go, i'm curious now? Cheers. P.S. i did a quick search for similar topics, couldnt seem to find one (went back 4 pages).

yowzers... too bad the pic quality isn't so good. Just goes to show nothing compares to German engineering though... that Audi is one tough cookie judging by the scooby's remains.
-
I'd be inclined to think that that is the oil cooler in the bottom right in the first pic???
-
Yep thought so... so having a seperate wastegate improves aitflow???
-
NewB question... what the hell does the waste gate do?? Is it essentially there to create less turbulence as the two exhaust streams meet at a similar velocity?? I'm not too sure. BTW this will bolt straight on to a stock R33 GTS-t?? If so, is it a DIY jobby? (In case ur not sure ,I am seriously interested in one of these... just depends on when I can get it etc.) Cheers.

Hi guys, I'm looking to get an exhaust in the coming weeks, but I am a bit undecided about what exactly I should get. I wanted some opinions of what you guys have, and if possible nice cheap places to pick one up (Im in sydney/central coast/newcastle area). I did want to go after-market, but if you have some good stories of custom exhausts near me, then I would consider a custom jobby too... Well, look forward to hearing some suggestions, Cheers.
