  1. I don't really like either of them... wide body looks sweet, but the skirts and rear bar look crap... I don't really like the 1st front bar either... looks too clean... but that's just me.
  2. Hi guys, I get my baby this week sometime, and I wanna know if i should save up $1000+ dollars for an aftermarket jap cat back, or get a custom cat back made... I am a bit concerned about the loudness of the jap ones, as i dont really want to attract the cops... Are they really that loud, or are there slightly quieter, even legal ones?? Cheers. PS how much should I look to be spendin on a cat-back?? :bond:
  3. Or he's doing gas and it's making him think is car is quicker
  4. No, but I don't understand... How do you win?? Someone explain the concept to me please... I'm new to all this =D
  5. Cos my car will be a stocker R33 GTS-t I don't even know what i would be entering lol
  6. Well I doubt i will be entering, but I will definately come along, only 5 mins from my house! sweet as hehehe
  7. Shorter stroke on RB20 generally means increased reliablility, but i'm not too familiar with the RB20/RB25 debate.
  8. Hmmm i think it's just saying car importers have to get one of these licences and make sure imported vehicles meet our refrigeration gases standards... costs for the importer will probably only go up $100 dollars or so... I don't think it's saying everyone who imports a car needs one of these licences
  9. Well I just got the line, havent even driven it yet, so im not selling!! Its only half an hour up and half an hour back a day, so it's not too bad.might see where im at in a year or so though, and re assess. Thanks for all your responses.
  10. My clutch squeaks when i press the pedal, but thats just cos it's 200,000km old i'm guessing.
  11. Sweet... i thought as much... what about the rest of the car though??? I currently have a Honda Accord (cos im still waiting for my ride to be complied) and that has 200,000+ km on it and I am confident the engine is in pretty good condition, but I can feel the *original* clutch starting to go, and the gearbox is okay, but hard to tell cos of the clutch. It is a very well engineered car, as most honda's are, and I have the same confidence in Nissans. The only thing is it makes some F**ked up squeeking noises, etc... Are there any known durability probs with other parts of the R33... i plan to replace everything by the time i finished with it anyway =D
  12. Ah k, fair enough... well atleast i wasn't entirely wrong
  13. Hi guys... This is kind of an odd question, but how long should a well maintained RB25DET last?? It's got 77k kms at the moment, and I can see myself doing 800km a week on it (mostly freeway driving though.) This seems to be alot of k's to put on a car Do you guys reckon i should just save up for a weekday runner to work and back, or will that be alright and last up to and beyond 200,000kms if I look after it?? Just wondering your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
  14. for the price of what you wanna do, you could probably get an R32 GT-R perhaps even an R33 GT-R. N.B. R32 GTS-t is rear wheel drive (1 diff) R34 GT-R is 4WD, So 3 diffs (front, centre and rear)... You would have to replace the whole drive line since they are also different lengths and i'm certain wheel base... I'm not sure if you can convert a GT-R to RWD only (probably can, but cost the moon), plus what does an RB326DETT NEO go for, $8k++ ??? My 2c
  15. i think you'll find the 1JZ is actually the soarer motor, the 2JZ is the supra (the supra uses a 3.0 litre as opposed to 2.5 in the soarer GT) i might be wrong...
  16. do a search, this came up less than a week ago... apparently there are some clips as well. cheers.
  17. No, I think he means he's got a pot of KG1, which looks like its R32 only. Where as he should have bought KL0.
  18. Well it sure sounds like the park assist button to me... Now you can pull of those awesome sardine can parks with no worries I've only managed one. Isaw a VT commodore get out of this park, so i figured i could fit my Honda Accord in there, and I did... just. hehehe I'm sure the guys infront and behind were amazed how the hell i got in there... Sorry a little OT. But i'm bored.
  19. I saw a GTS-t with a supra (aero) type spoiler on it... Just assumed the guy was an idiot who's car was having an identity crisis.
  20. Damn this is funny. But learn to spell spit boy, otherwise you come across as if you're about 12 wif dat maja attitude fing hapnin...
  21. if its from a GTS-t then it's a turbo, hence the t... otherwise it is just an R33 GTS.
  22. One of the problems with buying a modified car... you don't know what the guy before you has done... Mmmm 2 bar boost... I don't think that even if you had changed it back to ~12-15 whatever standard GTR boost is that you could have saved that engine... the guy who sold it in japan obviously knew it was on the way out (which sucks for you) and i just hope the same won't happen to me when i get my 93 GTS-t.
  23. If the windows are closed, then driving with the aircon on will take away power, hence u need more accelerator to get up to the same speed... So it uses more fuel. But if you are driving with the windows down as opposed to using the aircon with windows up then yea, you would use more fuel if the windows are down due to increased drag/interuption of laminar flow.
  24. I believe the prices on prestige are estimations of the overall cost... not the price the car will go for at auction. Obviously they know the range the car will go for and pick a conservative value in that range and add on compliance, shipping, etc etc... Just thought i'd clear that up for you.
  25. well the standard S13 SR20DET had 202hp, so i'd hope the NEO had more
