  1. Hahaha, beat me to it Slide!
  2. Hahaha your too right Ken. I've heard enough lately of people wanting to buy cars for next to nix. It's a simple fact that even a car obtained for free from Japan, will cost you around the $3000 mark just in shipping/taxes/duties etc. You may be lucky to find one at that price in Australia, but in ordinary condition and the seller will most likely be taking a bust!
  3. What is a Nissan Auster??
  4. Good Luck then.
  5. Autotechnica and Simota make them, they have a shiny silver plastic cover around the filter and its supposed to act as a "heat shield".
  6. I will take one, PM me banking details etc so I can place a deposit. When are they likely to land at your door??
  7. About a month ago my thermo fans stopped working and this summer heat isn't doing the world of good for my engine. I powered them up today via a battery pack and they work, so I assume it is the temperature sensor that screws into the bottom of the radiator. Could also be a fault in the ECU. Other option is to hard wire them to a switch. Anyone else had this happen to their Skyline??
  8. They are generally not too bad. Like whats already been said, I wouldn't recommend packing expensive/loose items in the car. Cars with big body kits and low exhaust generally get damaged. 9/10 cars I've seen come in have scratches and dents that were not on the before they left Japan, but you can never point the blame because it can either be shipping company or the car carrier delivering it to you.
  9. It's most likely to be the cold start programme built into the standard RB20 ECU. My car also has these characteristics, and its 23 years old! FYI, the ECU in an R32 is located in the passengers side kick panel.
  10. What about a standard VR4 Cooler or EVO cooler?? These are pretty easy to come by and are reasonably cheap < $350
  11. The also advertise them as ball bearing turbo's, when they are in fact plain bearing!
  12. Yeah converting the sump to RWD can be done easily with the right parts and knowledge!
  13. Majority are cable driven, I haven't seen an electronic one yet!
  14. RX7 Series 4 + 5 injectors go straight in once the O-Ring has been changed to suit. I would say there is a few different combonations of hose tail onjectors that will fit. Maybe talk to Injection Perfection in Sydney on (02) 9791 3122 or Powerflow in Sydney on (02) 9609 4615 and see what a brand new set of injectors will cost and what is available.
  15. Nick - why are you changing the brakes?? Do you own a non turbo?? Those calipers look like R32 GTST. But then again, R32 GTST and early R33 GTST shared those same finned calipers, where as the later models got the smooth calipers.

    I'll be there too.
  17. Can someone identify what Skyline these mats came out of - I'm under the impression that they are R33!
  18. Blitz Super Sound BOV's also hold good boost and sound nice.
  19. Surely CerealKiller would have his steering wheel off by now, and the new one on??
  20. I had an old set of my rims powder coated. The prep work is what makes the powder coating work/look good. If the rims are in good condition, they will only need a good clean + light sand. I got my rims done for free because I knew someone in the business, but I would estimate that is would cost about $200-$400 for a set of 4 wheels.
  21. The window socket is the stopper that keeps the window from going too high and jumping out of the tracks. You should slowly start undoing stuff in the door, and anything that is broken/bent, you should fix or replace. Seems like it shoud be an easy fix like you said. Maybe find someone who's got a R32 so you can match up the doors and see what is wrong.
  22. Side to side banging with the palm of your hand usually works. You can also buy a steering wheel puller for about $20 from most auto part shops.
  23. We need to get some stickers made up.... Ban Low Performance Drivers, Not High Performance Imports!

Mark: P's shouldn't be too hard on my bike I've already got, a TTR 250 and the instructors told me its very easy to do the U-Turn on a trailbike. I bought this a month ago, then realised you can get up to 650cc on your L's on the weekend. I would have a gone a XR400 or similar, but the 250 will be plenty quick enough for now. Organising a sand paddle and 2nd rear rim so I can take it out on the beach!!!
