Also an RB26DETT motor with RB25DET g/bpx. loom, ecu, afm's (essentially an engine package) will set you back $8000. I feel the only cost effective way to have an RB26 powered S13/A31/R32 is to buy it from Japan rather than converting it over here! -
S1 motors need ignitors as it isnt built into the ECU, whereas S2 have the direct fire from the ECU and no ignitor is used.

Problem with Bunnings is that they only sell all that shite in bigger packets. It sucks having to buy 50 screws when you only need like 4!

Change the climate control unit in the dash above your stereo.

Will either be the heater box under the dash, blend door as you said, or the unit itself. The first step would be to swap the unit itself with a mate as thats the easiest job of the lot and will either fix or eliminate that possibility!

To get the gutter scrapes removed, a good machine shop will only charge about $100 for a set of 4. I paid $66 to get 4 rims dones. and left a silver strip around the outside of my rims and it made the rims look better! If they have to fix scratches and marks further towards the centre, then the rims will need a repsray and that costs $50-$100 per rim, depending on the panel shop!

19" rims can for on a R33. You just need to get the offset right!

I was looking to buy a GT 30/40 bolt on kit with wastegate and all the lines to bolt onto the FJ, complete with hi mount manifold for $2800. Was on a friends 2.6 Rodeo motor in his Gemini, but decided I'd need to upgrade ECU etc etc so gave it a miss. Car is for sale in Unique Cars next month so decided not to spend any more money on it!

Depending on how much they are asking, it looks like a perfect platform to modify. Budget and extra $5000 and you can convert it to SR20DET!
