Hi all
On a trip moving from qld to vic i drove the gtr. Checked over it all and had not long replaced all the fluids inc. diffs, gearbox, brake/clutch. When arriving in vic i noticed a faint whine in the rear. Dropped the rear diff oil to make sure all was ok and replaced with new. I never drive it far and since being here the noise has become louder in the rear right between about 70(loudest) and above(slightly quietens). When driving if i flick turn to the left i gets louder and to the right nearly dissapears when the weight is off the wheel. Another thing of note that could prematurely wear them is it has 25mm wheel spacers to bring the inset wheels back to normal but they still sit inside the guards
@ 130,000 is it likely that a, $350 to replace wheel bearing\hub as they are, is on its way out?
Is there any alternative? I understand there is a repco $80 bearing that has to be pressed into the hub after the origional is pressed out however i have been warned away from this as it may never be perfectly alligned like the nissan part
Has anyone had similar problems to myself
Thanks
ps i live in Geelong and may need a good mechanic to do a vic rwc if anyone knows of someone
