  1. Hahah, yeah you need sunnies on to look straight at it. I'll call it glow worm green. I wonder if the other skyline boys will try to eat your calipers?!
  2. Factory? Hey! I'm not taking any lessons of the factory, they have no idea what they're doing. Special thanks to you for the use of the carpark too mate. Here are some more pictrues: Cyrus's glow worms: Matts pride & joy: Nexus I agree you need more open wheels to show off your calipers: Cyrus Boots it! Last but not least...
  3. ROFL at this thread, At the caliper painting workshop yesterday I kept hearing references to eating animal hearts, glowing mushroom worms and 14 year old petrol station skanks. I didn't want to ask whether or not you'd actually been eating the glowing things, but I have my suspicions. So in the end, did you eat the owl aswell.. or the 14 year olds?! :aroused:
  4. The centre part is the hub facia- in 99% of cases I paint them as they're rusty or just look bad. On skylines they're usually black (at least they used to be black but have turned brown. ) On some theres also a horrible crusty bit right in the centre that I clean out and paint to prevent it from rusting any further. Some lines are in better shape than others. Yeah theres a few good action shots that mindflux took from in my car. I was having trouble uploading with optus FTP last night though, i'll try again tonight. BTW, how come you guys always call me Joel? I don't mind really, but it's Joey :wavey:
  5. That was a good day. Heres some pics Matts calipers: Cyrus's lumonous new look: Chris on the go: edit - these will be up soon.. Matts pride & joy: Cyrus Boots it!
  6. Ska.. are we installing those 15 superbright green neons under your car on the same say?
  7. Hi Guys, we've had a couple of dropouts for this sundays caliper painting workshop, if anyone is interested please see this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...30&page=3&pp=25 Edit - incase you dont want to read that 7 page thread here is the address of the workshop (carpark) Umart Online(Gold Coast QLD) 1/46 Smith St Southport Arrive 10am Please post to let me know. Thanks. Joey
  8. Is everyone Set for Sunday?! See you all there at 10am! Joey
  9. Hi guys, sorry for the late reply I only just got back from Melbourne (they don't have the internet down there you know) Ska - I can confirm my all of my clients calipers look brilliant while the car is moving (except the ones that get black.. you can't really see them) 10 am Sunday suits me. Best thing to do is have everyone arrive early, ala production line style. Once wheels are off you guys can play network games while I'm slaving away over hot skylines. In regards to jacks, I will bring a shiney new trolly jack, two folding jacks and 2 axle stands (plus wheels chocks/paint/buckets/ etc etc etc :nowigetit We need two jacks or stands for each car, so start raiding your mums excel and your dads commo, they all come with jacks. This should be a good day Joey
  10. heheh I will pick up some purple next week. Well thats six.. or seven? Anyways, leaving for melbourne now. See you guys next week.
  11. Yeah cyrus I'm about to leave for melbourne so can you please order 2 cans of the green. AS far as numbers go, 5 or 6 cars would be better. There may be a few takers on tonights cruise, I won't be there though. Cheers Joey
  12. Well I'm in! Here is a colour chart of the caliper paint. Green is not on there as I don't have any (yet). There is also a purple I can source.
  13. Its great if they keep getting better.. but what are the RB74s like when they're cold?
  14. Saw Dean this arvo and he tells me he'll be there. Watch out for a freshly ironed shirt, he was talking himself up on his ironing skills and reckons he's spending the best past of this evening preparing.
  15. Its not fair.. I'm working every thursday for.. god knows how long. I mean WTF were they thinking scheduling seminars on thursday night.. don't they know there's cruises and stuff on ?!
  16. I found the bendix ultimates I had on the rex very dusty, they also tended to be squealy and non grippy when cold. I changed them with Lucas pads which seem to be quite good. They were cheaper than ultimates too, $120 a pair for fronts. Can't help you out with part numbers though. It's not easy with anything later than r31 as many local stockists don't keep track of grey imports. Edit - actually, R33 rear calipers are identicle to Subaru WRX MY01-MY04 rear calipers. That may help. Cheers Joey
  17. Excellent news cam. You up for a trip down the coast?
  18. can you just say that in dates?
  19. You've been running into things havent you?
  20. Syrus if your car is still off the road, I might need to drop by on the way back from the coast.
  21. PM replied to ska I also hold workshops in Melbourne, the next one is this weekend, but it's solidly booked. Cheers Joey

  23. Ska - Sunday is good for me. Nexus - I have dark blue and mid blue. Under cover is great. All I need is a tap. Should I bring my 'puter too? LAN!
  24. Don't for get the silver lettering, thats the most important part.
  25. 5 or 6 is a nice number. I can do more, but it starts to limit the social aspect of the day for me then, as I don't have time to talk!
