  1. Just finished mine but sprayed it instead. Hardest part was removing all the rubber coating on the original layer, some sections rubed off by thumb and other sections needed a LOT of time to rub off!! Anyhow prime plastic pieces with PLASTIC ENAMEL spray and add final colour coat. SWEET!! (May be cheaper than those stickers??) Sorry bout quality of pics as took them with camera phone.
  2. open to offers?? gotta rid them as takin space in garage!!
  3. Did this mod to my car last week after I saw this post. :devfu: Except my ground wire was the black wire?? How to test:- Simply remove plug from solenoid and put the (-) wire of a multimeter on a ground point of the chassis, start the car and test the plug from harness to see which wire has +12V from ECU with (+) wire of multimeter. Once found switch off motor and cut the other wire (which is the ground wire switched by ECU) ON THE SOLENOID SIDE OF THE PLUG and add wire to ground it on chassis. Solder and Insulate bare wires, hook up plug again and enjoy more boost. I also resetted ECU after this and have had no problems. Thinking of adding a switch inside on dash so I can set it so constant power not on solenoid on those long trips between states, might help solenoid from burning out??

  5. I just went through www.Importcars.com.au Had no problems and John Whiteman was very helpful with any questions I needed answering. Was my first import but he did most of the hard work for me which helps. Highly recommended!!
  6. Its a flare dude.Thats all!!!
  7. Mr G is right as I have just had my car complied and the easiest way is to change ova to stock parts b4 it goes into w/shop or else they have to document it if they change any mods and send evidence to Gov that parts removed were destroyed. Saves u some money as u can usually get parts cheaper than the w/shops can by buying 2nd hand! Well thats wat I did anyway??? What they don't know of they can't touch!!!!
  8. Thank god mine made it over!!!! Would hate that to happen to me..especially if I had to pay 4 retrieval.phew!!!

  10. Hey mate u still got those wheels f/s? e-mail me on [email protected] or phone 0414656237 Cheers!!
  11. Finally got to drive my new car for the first time today!! :headspin: Just a taste b4 it goes to get complied so that should tie me ova till thats all done.. Very tight feelin suspension and handles way better than I expected so cannot wait to get it on the road full time.. After that just gotta get scrape fixed on front bar and dent taken out of front fender and a clean her in/out. Found GPS navigation system in back & aftermarket CD player(stacker) which weren't listed on the auction sheet. Hope GPS works in AUS?? Only need Frequency converter now on the head unit on CD player. So now I know wat i've been missing out on, i'm glad I bit the bullet and got a SKYLINE
  12. Well my expeience with importing is that if you are not in a real hurry to get a car,you will save yourself $$. I am upto about 3.5 months from first bidding on a car and at the stage now of getting the car complied. Lotta paper work and phone calls but should be worth it in the end!!
  13. Like they all said, fill out back of rego papers, give sellers half to him/her,hand in a copy asap to RTA. Also have pinkslip & Greenslip to hand ova to them. NEVER take personal cheques!!!
  14. UPDATE... Got first look a car today at customs, leaves there very soon!!! Just gotta wack on the standard exhaust I got the other day then off to get complied. There was four other Skylines I could see at the docks so business is boomin for Japanese exports( for good reasons ) Not long now!! :headspin:
  15. I hope so, gotta talk to guy at compliance shop when it gets there. Don't wanna have to get a set of rims just for compliance as the new tyres will be only for those rims.
  16. The boat delays are due to the car companies giving priority to new cars hence filling them up first, that was the reason I got anyway. I also heard that a rule change to ADR's allowing non standard rims to be complied?? Was passed 2 weeks ago, can anyone confirm this?? cheers
  17. My car about to get complied sometime in the next week, not good to hear this sort of news from other people about the long delays( theres been enough delays already with shipping) oh well!! fingers crossed
