  7. hey guys, during the course of the week i found myself talking to a few skyline owners who always go to broadi carpark on saturday nights, some of these guys are sau members and others were not. So i just though that maybe there could be a thread were the few people that are saturday night regulars, might want to let everyone else who is going know so we can all meet up and chat/ show off our rides. There are always skylines scattered around the place, so why not all join together, it will be a sik sight. so if u r interested, post or pm your intentions for the night, and hopefully everyone can meet up.... cu there!
  8. hey playar im thinking of getting one too if u wanna go halves with me, will cost about $50 each instead of $100? hey do u live in palm beach? a skyline similar to the pic u have lives in my building.
  9. nah bring both( sxe33 + sxe32 + shitload of other skylines = huge ass skyline cruiz)
  10. yeh i agree, anyway, there is already a few people who want to meet there first so they will suss out whats going on for us.
  11. just an unpdate on the wheels boys, the rim damages has been fixed, so now all the rims are now like new, and i am now asking $1000, but make me an offer, i might take less........my intentions wernt really to sell them to a skyline owner, i only posted them here cuase i am a regular to the site, and i thought some people may have coomodore owning mates looking for wheels...........so make an offer guys.
  12. yeh for sure revhead, hey man u know the saturday night cruiz nismogirl organised thats on soon, i dont think anything but skylines should cruiz on this, were on show bigtime for that night, there is still a couple of weeks left before it so skylineless dudes should organise lifts.
  13. i just wanna say that i have been in boost cruising and street commodore forums to try and sell my wheels, and have found that sau is far the best when it comes to the respect it offers to fellow skylines owners and enthuisiests. Street commodore forum users are so arrogant and pig headed, and it really pisses me off that someone with a 5L VR Commodore can think he is king shit and look down upon people cuase of what he drives, even though it is a piece of shit. im just trying to say that i think you guys have developed a good reputation for being a bunch of nice people, and i felt very welcome on my first cruise last week. i just think that u shouldnt spoil this through the way the meets are going to be negotiated from now on, it will be a bit hard to just suddenly bar ya friends just becuase they dont have a skyline, take phatmirrage and evo, they are the only two guys i met without skylines, but theyare good guys and might feel a little cut getting turned away. i think we can atleast do this a little less rough, and how about we offer some of these boys a ride for the cruises, man i saw heaps of lines with single drivers............just take it easy a bit thats all.
  14. hey has anyone considered waiting at bwcp to kinda tryand block off some areas for everyone to park, u know, the people that wanna just meet the cruiz there?
  15. i agree, i think skyline cruiz = skyline cars, but do u kinda feel a bit bad that maybe some of the dues with the other cars that come along look up to us skyline drivers, and respect us, hence the reason why they are involved, the thursday night meets should have a little bit of acceptence for some other cars( like a ratio of 30 skylines to 3 non skylines).........lol, just making suggestions. the thursday night meets are for a friendly meet between enthuisiastic mates isnt it, however the big saturday night cruiz is a different story, we are on show case to a large number of people, so to see odd cars out amongst a heap of lines, might be beside the whole point of such a cruiz.
  16. i agree mate, they are, and as for the measurments, i think they have to clear the studs so that when u bolt the spacer on, the nuts are countersunk into the actual hub, providing a flush fit for the wheel, u can even get them with the center locating ring so the wheel fits snug. so about 24mm, i think thats what i measured, thats on my r33, then again if u dont need that much, and to save the wheels from pretruding the guards, u may be able to shorten the studs aswell, thus having narrower spacers.
  17. yeh i think they are the ilegal type boj01, they have to be bolt on items, and whats this russian roulette business, gee some people have a wild imagination, look if you are useing them on a race track and for heavy drifting and stuff then yeh i might be a tad concerned, but having them on for everyday street use, i cant see where the huge problem will be. and whats all this talk about putting huge strain on wheel bearings and axles, where does stress go when ya sideways around a corner doing 100 km/h on a normal set up, and how does ya gearbox like high rev luanches at every traffic light? like i said before everyone has a different opinion, if u have them on with intentions to take it easy then there shouldnt be a problem, but if you want to thrash ya car, then the spacers, along with other things, will always cuase you problems.
  18. im in queensland and have been told by many engineers that they are legal, safe and practicle, provided they are the bolt on adapters. and for around $150, i think they are a good consideration if nice rims are in question. ive already posted a thread on this topic if u want to look back and find out what i was told about them.......basicly its up to u, some people would rather not use them, others dont mind, it depends on the person, however as far as i know they are fine, hey , ive been told wide body porches have them, if its ok for porche then its good enough for me!

  22. GOR33

    sau pamphlets

hey peoples, i can half remember someone talking about handing out pamphlets to skyline drivers telling them about this site. Im not sure if i was dreaming the whole thing or it really happened, but if someone knows anything of this then let me know, cuase i would like to help out handing around some if there are any, as im always getting around gold coast and see heaps of skylines, so i could probably hand a few out- try and get the gold coast numbers up- seems like there are more brissi then gold coast people........... :wavey:
