i have a series 1 r33 gtst. all stock except for intake. even stock exhaust.
problem:
-skyline has trouble starting. and only starts by pumping the accelerator while cranking.
it will take about 3-4 cranks. it starts very slowly, then rpms shoot to about 1700 and immediately come back down to about 900. idles perfectly fine.
-also, as soon at it starts theres a sharp squeel from the belt, i think the alternator belt.
-theres also a wierd 'kuuuuurrrrk' noise from inside the engine bay, not exactly sure what it is, but it only happens after the cranks that dont start the car (the first 2-3 cranks).
-there are also backfires during the start-up, nothing crazy tho.
changed spark plugs.
new battery.
cleaned aac valve. (idles nicer now, but same starting issue)
once started, the car idles perfectly fine, and drives really good. smooth. at a stop, continues to idle fine. no stuttering or anything. never died on me. but once i turn it off, i will again need to use the accelerator to start it, but it usually starts 1-2 cranks, although still a bit laggy. if i leave the skyline for a couple hours or more, then same original problem.
i took some videos as well, i can email them if requested.
ive done alot of reserach, countless hours. people that seem to be having this issue also have problems keeping the car running, where it will die at a stop etc etc. however, my car runs perfect, only has starting issue.
