  1. Its a long shot, but ill ask the question, Looking for a Power FC and hand controller to suit r33 rb25det, can anyone help me out?
  2. Free bump!! Good to see another member from Albury, haha. Didnt know any even really existed! Seen your car round, very clean Did you use to work with Evan by any chance?? think he said something about a grey r33 with a microtech, said it skated through the first couple gears Get on it guys, clean, nicely modded r33, harder and harder to find these days
  3. Would there be much need for installing iridium plugs and new ignition coils at this level?? is there much of a gain to be had?? There are platinum plugs in at the moment.

  5. And thanks a lot for the links nismoid!!
  6. Ahk, well then i reckon i will just leave it as is atm then. Its fairly noisy in the cabin, so i was guessing it may be bosch. Yeah im looking into a split dump/front and hi flow cat. the stuff from bos motorsports (batmobl sau user name) looks and sounds the goods. Have a k&n panel on its way, although im not in a huge rush for it, since from many opinions anyway, they dont offer too much of a gain. Probably gonna look into getting this power fc and afm in first, just because ive had absolutely no luck at all finding one, and the ones i do find are pretty excessively priced, although since they are getting light on the ground, theres getting less and less chance of getting one for less than 1K Thanks a lot for the help so far guys, its good to get some other opinions on this stuff :-)
  7. Ok, ive been asking around a bit on this site since ive bought my r33 about my next choice of mods. Out of this list, what would you guys think are crucial or not needed straight away to get to my goal (200 or as close to 200 rwkw as possible) Currently the car has - FMIC, Cat back exhaust, High pressure fuel pump This is my list in order of desired purchase: Apexi Power FC + Z32 AFM (ive heard the rb20det AFM does the same job?? is that true at all? or would i be better off sticking to the Z32 option? Splitfire coils (For my power level, would it be necessary installing new ignition coils at all at this stage???) NGK Iridium plugs Dump pipe + hi flow cat New fuel pump (Fuel pump was replaced just before i bought the car. Now i rang up the place to inquire into what they put on it, as on the invoice it is listed as just Hi-pres fuel pump. The guy i talk to says it was a "petroject fuel pump" now to my knowledge, petroject are suppliers of bosch and walbro pumps. Its pretty noisy in the cabin with whatever is installed atm, so at this stage until i find out what it actually is, i dont know whether i need one yet or not) Im not looking at increasing boost, as i drive this car everyday, and would like it to run on less than or about 1.0 bar at the most. In order what should i do here?? Anything not listed that i should include??? i was thinking maybe injectors and/or camshafts?
  8. Looking for a mspec front bar for my car. I would prefer it to be in the blue/grey two tone to go with the rest of my car and also have the middle bar cut out (number plate holder) so it looks swish with a FMIC
  9. Yeah im hoping for around the 200kw mark, thats enough for me to have some serious fun! X force are a helluva lot cheaper, which works really well in my favour, since im such a poor **** haha quite a considerable gain from the dyno sheet, definitely a worthy mod to perform on my car. the x force set up loud at all?? or not too bad??
  10. Ive heard a lot of good stuff from guys using front/dumps and cats supplied from BATMBL, i had a bit of a captain cook and the gear he supplies fits my needs perfectly, supposed good flow and not a huge increase in noise at all, i would be looking at around thr 780 dollar mark including shipping to buy the front/dump and big hi flow cat off him. Plus i would have to factor in installation costs. I dont think thats too extravagantly priced?? Petern, you have had a good experience with xforce?? Was the 20kw gain with just the exhaust, or with the intercooler and plugs? Ill be purchasing a Power FC, also splitfire coils, NGK sparks and a new fuel pump at around the same time as the rest of the exhaust, so combined all that with my Front mount i should see some healthy gains A local exhaust shop in Albury can supply me with x force stuff, but from what a lot of people have told me, theyre not quiet really at all, with a constant tinny sounding drone? But i guess it also comes down to the muffler and cannon choice as well in regards to noise levels/exhaust note....
  11. Im also looking to finish off my exhaust system, At the moment i have an apexi cat back system, and it has a really nice note and is very quiet. What would you recommend in terms of dump/front pipe and cat?? im looking for something with ultimate flow but also it must be quiet as, i really cannot stand the constant loud drone from certain exhausts, and its the one thing that has stopped me from getting this done sooner HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP lol
  12. oh yeah id reckon about 1452138957000000000000000000000 rwkw sorry lol, im gonna take a wild guess at 216 rwkw
  13. This is an awesome topic, its really helping me out on my car. Like a lot of people who have posted here, im a new owner of an r33 gtst. Current mods are an apexi 3 inch cat back, Blitz fmic, and an unknown fuel pump (a new one was installed by the previous owner, i rang the guys who installed it, they told me it was a "petrojet" pump. To my knowledge, petrojet are a distributor of walbro pumps, but im not sure????) My aim will be about 200rwkw at this stage. So far this is my plan of attack: Splitfire Coilpacks NGK sparkplugs Hi flow cat fuel pump + fuel reg Apexi Power FC + Z32 AFM 550 cc injectors tomei poncams Am i on the right track here?? ive researched this a bit. What do you guys think?
  14. Ahk fair enough, ive heard some pretty bad things about the greddy emanage, but a few people have said that the ultimate is a lot better bit of gear? At this stage im still leaning towards a pfc if i can find one for the right price, im definitely not willing to pay over 1k for one, even though its getting harder and harder to find one at that price.
  15. Thanks guys, help is much appreciated. Ive heard some pretty good things about the haltech range?? You also recommended one kisin, they are around the 1500 or so mark arent they?
  16. I would be looking at spending about the 1000-1500 mark
  17. Reading in the latest HPI, they had an article on engine management systems. By what i was reading they really gave the thumbs up to the tomei reytec and also the tuning of the factory ecu. My next mod is going to be an ecu, and originally i was 100% for a power fc, but after reading this article, it made me think a bit more. So i have a few questions on the other two options - 1. What kind of price would i be looking at for a tomei reytec? 2. Also what kind of power gains would i see from these two, say compared to using a power fc? 3. Im located in Albury, which is three hours from Melbourne and Canberra, and 6 hours from Sydney, so would i be better off going for a power fc since they are more common and more commonly tuned? i dont want to travel across the country to get my car tuned. 4. Does anyone know any good quality tuners that tune the reytec or the factory ecu from either melbourne or canberra? and finally 5. What kind of average cost would i be looking at to get either one of these three tuned? experiences? Im not rolling in cash but i still want the very best for my car. Ideally i want the best bang for buck scenario.
  18. Looking at buying a hi flow cat for my r33 gtst. Exhaust wise i have an apexi 3 inch from the cat back. Is it worth buying one?? What kind of power gain would i see?? If so, what brand do you recommend?? I also want to avoid a mild steel one causing a hellish droning noise as my exhaust has a really nice deep quiet note at the moment and i dont want to lose that at all. Thanks guys!!
  19. Hey all, I have a 95 r33, and it is the factory blue with the grey trim around the bottom. My question is, have you seen any skylines in that same blue colour minus the grey trim?? does it look any good?? and also, if i was to keep the standard paint like that, do you think that any kind of bodykit would look cool with the two tone paint scheme? Ideally i would love to full respray my car one colour, but unfortunately do not quite have the funds. What kind of price would i be looking at anyway?? Any help would be much appreciated!
  20. Yeah agreed, i really dislike the venetian grill, but by what you described that grill will look really good. The nismo one i was thinking of is exactly the same kind of deal you are talking about, except instead of an s it had a nismo logo in the bottom right hand corner, looked pretty cool. The two tone isnt my favourite, but i will have a trawl around the net and see if i can find someone thats done that kind of paint scheme, it may look really good for all i know. I went to the svi website last night and there was an r33 in the gallery that is the exact same paint as mine, with a pretty extreme body kit, didnt look as bad as i thought, but that being said, a more exciting colour all over would still be the balls.
  21. Yeah the trust items are huge! I feel in my opinion that with the wheels i have, plus a gtr wing and an m spec front bar will basically keep the same style look that my car has atm, but toughen it up a bit. Ideally i would love to buy a full kit something like a 400r kit or gtr kit, and go a full respray, but i dont really have the required 5000 or 7000 odd dollars to do all that. I dont really want to take the risk of going the factory blue all over either, since ive never seen an r33 in that colour all over before, spend the money, then hate the colour. Has anyone got any pics or seen an r33 in that blue without the grey skirts? On the plus side though, my cooler will fit really snugly into an m spec bar w/o the plate holder, it measures up almost perfectly. I reckon maybe even a nismo grill to replace the standard series 1 grill?
  22. i was looking at an r33 for sale today, and i had an idea which i thought might look good. What about an m spec style front bar?? i would like to keep the stock indicators, plus it would match the blue with grey trim paint scheme, and it would suit the lines of the car since i dont have side skirts. Is there any brand of front bar that is very similar to an m spec style front bar, but with a nice sized opening for my FMIC? or would i just have to get an m spec bar and cut out the plate holder in the middle? I reckon the factory series 1 blue wouldnt look all that flash without the grey trim, although ive never seen one that is that blue all over, has anyone seen one that is the series 1 blue all over??
  23. what kind of front bar is that??
  24. ahk, sounds pretty damn good in my opinion, how much off do you reckon it will cost me to buy the body parts, plus fitment and painting of them?? Im guessing just off the top of my head 2000-3000??
  25. I cant wait to see those pics, that was such a good bargain. Yeah im leaning towards a GTR wing, i think they look tough as nails really!! lol Im looking for something that fits really nicely into the lines of a stock looking r33, coz i hate that look of a big front bar, and it looks massive compared to the rest of the car when it doesnt have accompanying sideskirts. My other problem is the goddamn grey trim around the bottom of my car, im thinking of going blue all over, and getting rid of the grey skirts??
