  1. Wardest shut the **** up. This isnt another lets whinge about young kids driving fast cars thread, so keep your un-needed opinion for somewhere else. We COULD go into a 100000 page thread about young drivers/fast cars/licensing/rules etc all that other bullshit but all krzysiu is asking for is HELP for his license test. This has nothing to do with the beast he has to drive or his age. It seems Wardest from your post that you have a tinge of envy in your post?? I know you wouldnt have owned a 250kw car when you were 17/18. neither do i, but im more than happy for him regardless, some people have all the luck :-) Sorry but im just getting sick of people going into threads of people asking things like "im on my p's buying a skyline, wat should i look for?? etc" and having them say dont buy a skyline your too young, etc etc. Fair enough it is dangerous and they are viable views, but its not gonna stop them buying one and your not even answering their question they originally asked. Save those opinions to where they are useful, as in the thread where that question is asked in the first place. Good luck with ya test dude, make sure ya pass and do everyone a favour and drive your precious car safely!!!
  2. hahahaha the person that drives that seems pretty damn intelligent to me!!! also i bet that the person has something like a fresh ass skyline/silvia or other import in his garage for weekends but drives his shitbox round during the week so he gets a bit more economy im guessing and also gets the advantage of paying out shitbox commodores as well!! think about it, if a commodore patriot sees this commo with that sticker on the back, they wouldnt be able to follow their natural bogan instinct to smash up the offending car, their head would explode.......commodore.....insult!!!!!!!.......on...a...commodores window!!!!!! BANG!!
  3. seeing that picture has made me very angry. why must the typically moronic yanks soil the gtr badge and skyline name?? it angers me greatly
  4. headchecks all the time man!!! always have two hands on the wheel (10 to 2), only ever take your hand off to change gears. check your mirrors a lot, when you brake, always look in your rear view mirror. look over your shoulder to check your blind spot wen leaving a roundabout. Just look and check your mirrors ****in heaps!! and always be a 2-3 k's below the speed limit. The thing instructors are looking for predominantly is safety, not actual skill. This is because it is expected that you will be doing far more hours driving on your own then on your l's they give you some lenienancy if you lack a few skills. But safety they come down heaps hard on, if you dont have the right safety habits, your dead in the water. Thats what my instructor told me when i was going for my p's. I mean i totally screwed my reverse park, and came out of my 3 point turn in third gear, and i passed with flying colours, coz i looked all the time, and checked my mirrors all the time all through the test.
  5. police really seem to hate imports to the core. But yeah like wat has been said, there are good cops and also a lot of bad ones, which are unfortunately the ones most people edn up dealing with. Also like has been said before, theres not much you can really do but bend the **** over. You live in Wodonga?? i live in Albury, might have seen ya car around somewhere before
  6. Goldzilla, finally someone who takes notice of the new mazda 3 sp-23!! im driving my mums around, very nice car to drive. I hold a grudge against it though coz mum got talked out of buying a 33 gtr and bought the mazda instead. Cars that turn make me go wow: HQ holdens, especially the ones with the mass of huge dents over the decades of abuse Those creepy ass lada things, still have nightmares over the lada my aunty owned. and pretty much every car that has been already said in the thread.
  7. Sorry to say but things dont get any better on ya p's. I really enjoy the stories of l and p platers with skylines getting abused by less fortunate road users, oh how jealous those people are of someone so young with a car so much better than they will ever have. i bet their faces are totally green with envy! The worst stereotype i reckon is that a young person with a fast car is automatically a irresponsible road user. That really pisses me off
  8. sleepers are cars that look normal on the outside but are packing extreme heat under the bonnet. The best examples of sleepers are the cars that have a reputation for being slow and/or a grandpas car (things like old toyota cressidas, old nissan bluebirds etc) but have had an engine conversion to a big power engine.
  9. this kind of thread happens every time some foolish person kills themselves in an import. I saw the report and i was pissed off for a variety of reasons. 1.) skyline. even more bad rep for the car and the people driving them 2.) "possible" drag racing, more bad rep 3.) full car with the majority of passengers being killed Now dont get me wrong, my condolences to the victims. But the fact that all it takes is one person to ruin it for everyone really pisses me off. Ever since i started driving ive had it drummed into me, that by all means race, but do it on a race track where it belongs. I dont need to prove anything to anyone on the street in my car. If i needed to, i would put it on the dyno, or put it down the strip or get some quick laps in at winton or some shit, put it on paper and show everyone. The sad thing here is that the passengers are the ones who died from this, the most likely innocent people in this situation. If they werent drag racing, then its a horrible accident with an inexperienced driver losing control of his car, which then raises the issue that there has to be a better licensing system, with better training. If he was drag racing then he was a inconsiderate f**khead who has given the rest of the import community more or a bad name and killed his mates. Bottom line, which has been said over and over again, provisional drivers need to be better trained, so should they get into any car they will have at least better control of it. p-platers are not fully at fault, they are merely products of the system that put them on the road. Its not the car its the driver. Ya gotta also remember, the media loves stories like this, young people and high powered cars is a hot topic and the media will latch onto it like a dog with a bone, so it makes people like us look even worse.
  10. stop it stop it stop it!!!!!!! im getting shivers up my spine just reading bout this. There is nothing in this world that scares me as much as spiders. Huntsman spiders are the scariest shit ever. If i know theres one in my room, i cannot sleep, i know that it will crawl on my face during the night coz they are evil and scheming like that. after reading the post about humans eating like 8 spiders or something in their sleep, i dont think im ever gonna be able to go to sleep now, lol
  11. Teamshadow, you are indeed in a very very lucky position. Quite obvious that your family is very well off, i envy you, but am also glad for you!! I do agree with the people here that an r34 gt-t is maaaayyybe a little too much for your first car, we all dream of owning a car like that as a first car, but for 99 percent of us its way out of the question. It depends on what you want out of your first car. If its a performance import you desire, maybe buy something just a tiny bit little more sedate, maybe an s13 or something, and spend a few extra dollars tidying it up, making it look really presentable. The insurance for a turbo import is gonna be the real kicker, so take that into account (at least a few grand a year) If what you want out of your first car is primarily "street cred" and girls, i reckon you buy a lexus, tint the windows, lower it on its guts and chuck big shiny 19's on it, now that is a truly pimpin car. If you really really want the r34, which i cant blame you for, and want the turbo model as well, then for gods sake, take some proper professional driving courses, so you dont kill yourself!! the last thing we want to hear on this site is another young person killing himself in an import. It seems in a lot of the replies there seems to be some jealousy?? i maybe wrong, so dont flame me too much, lol. I envy you dude, and i wish you all the best in your search for a first car.
  12. At the moment im using an r34 gtr. typical i know, but i couldnt go past it, lol. yeah the driving engine in my opinion is very very sub standard, which is the one and only point that holds it back from being a truly awesome game. Ive read some of the guides and stuff for it on the net, its a bloody long game. Ive been playing for ages and havent even scratched the surface yet, haha.
  13. anyone played this game?? i stumbled upon it when i was hiring some games the other day. I was very suprised, i quite enjoyed it. Im really suprised that the developers havent been sued considering the amount of cars they have used without permission. For those of you who dont know the game, basically its like a cross between gran turismo and nfsu i guess. You start with 15 grand, and buy a car. They have basically every japanese sports car you can think of, as well as some american cars. You then proceed to modify it with money you earn. The game is set on the highways of tokyo, such as wangan etc. You drive around and look for rivals and race them for prize money and thats the game in a brief overview. For those of you who have played it (if anyone) what do you think of it??
  14. sorry, disregard that last post, found the cost calculator
  15. how much extra would i be looking at to get the car fully on the road?? for something such as an r33??
  16. this thread is a really old topic and also probably more suited for a site like nissansilvia or something, but i thought since this site is infinitely better and there are still a few p-platers on this site i will rant here muahahah!!! Anyways, saturday night, driving home from a mates house at about 1:15 am, pull out onto main road (2 lanes northbound-median strip-2 lanes southbound) and another mate that was with me in his car is driving in the other lane next to me, he was probably at about my left rear quarter. We come up to a roundabout, still 2 lanes, doing 55-60 km/h at the most and we drive through the roundabout, my mate is probably at about my left rear door, anyways drive through the roundabout and on the southbound lanes is a cop car, he slams on the sirens, and drives over the huge arse median strip and flags both us down. Comes up to the window and goes, "can you explain to me what happened back there??" i was confused at this point and just replied with "what??" and he goes "dont play dumb with me, i seen what happened!" and at this point i was dumbfounded. He then says "i just seen you with my own eyes drag racing!" We then argued back and forth for about 5 minutes, before the officer runs off and chases this guy down the sidewalk and slams him up against a fence, and then puts him in the back of the police van. It looked like this poor guy was carrying a bag of potato chips or somethin, so obviously its illegal to carry smiths chips in public these days. After about a 10 minute wait, the other officer walks up to the car and gives me the guys license that they just threw in the van? I tell him that its not mine and then he apologises and gives me back my own license, then they drive off. Whats the deal here?? i realise that the police have exclusively targeted p-platers for things such as burnouts and racing etc. but come on!! i didnt know it was illegal for two cars to drive on a dual lane road at the posted speed limit in the two seperate lanes given to them?? i also didnt know it was illegal to carry chips in public either. Anyways i put it down to one of the officers just having a bad night and feeling the need to put the beat down on some kids, im just glad the copper didnt pull me out of the car and start bashing me Rodney King style, coz thats all that was going through my mind when the cop was arguing with me. The other officer with him was a good bloke so they may have also been playing the good cop bad cop routine. It really irks me that some police officers seem to abuse the power given to them The point to this thread?? well none really, just that to all of you that have been in similar situations with police on power trips, i feel your pain!!
  17. sorry, shoulda worded what i said better. i didnt mean any gtr badge, i meant the actual nissan gtr badge on cars that arent nissans. But yeah, all we can do really is sit back and laugh at the things some people do!! lol.......... oh yeah, and also burn autobarn to the ground and dance in the ashes
  18. no matter what a holden has under the bonnet, it should never wear a gtr badge. Its a sacred logo that has been defiled by all these pretenders putting them on any car they want. its still mildly aggravating when people put gtr badges on their gts-t. I dont mind when people put the gtr badge on their familia gtr though.
  19. ill give the person points for originality i guess, lol. there seems to be heaps of crazy combinations like that involving skylines. The fav one ive seen would have to be the guy that turned his r32 into a ute, and drifts it, thats cool, as well as the prelude with the r33 back
  20. got flipped off by a commodore driver today on the highway, for no reason at all!! dont even know the bloke driving it, but his "swoit as" commodore looked like a box of shit. thing is i dont even own an import yet, so he couldnt of been hating on the car i was in. im still drivin my mums car. so wat was up with that???
  21. yeah is it an sr?? or a ca?? auto or manual?? im guessing its not street legal by wen u say show car??
  22. anyone use the ford v8 supercar for drift?? it can be done
  23. enduro racer on sega master system anyone?? that was off the hook!! i dont reckon i could pick a fav game though, there are soooo many classics through the years that ive played, just wouldnt be able to pick one
  24. exactly right lwells. no offence man, but DO NOT put a v opt sticker on your car, it is definitely "povo and try hard"
  25. then australia should make better cars at better prices. simple as that
