  1. think i may have seen your car, obviously before the smash, was walking along the beach near the bp at about that time of night. f**king sucks, did the wrx pull up?? im guessing they kept going, bunch of f**kWITS
  2. yeah definitely sounds like a cruel cruel joke, what a legend haha. The only thing i can think of is obviously the insurance will have to be in your uncles name, but you might be able to list yourself as an emergency driver. Very slim shot, but its all i can think of. No chance your other cousin will get covered though. Wish i had a uncle whos done as well as yours, DAYUMMMMM
  3. are both rails able to slide backwards/forwards?? 100% certain they will fit a r33??
  4. negotiable on price for coilovers??
  5. could be very interested in the coilovers if your willing to seperate, also dependant on whether you can find out what brand they are, and how many ks they have travelled.
  6. not a problem, im relocating to melbourne in the next day so i will contact you next week when i get up and running and get everything with my house sorted. Will be very interested in taking these off your hands!
  7. could be very interested, do you know what model they are??? any leaks?? what kind of condition are they in?? would you have any idea on their history?
  8. where do you get this money!
  9. are you bolting it into the engine bay and not putting it on the shiny cylinder under the back of the car?
  10. ive got a 3 inch turbo back system from jjr with a metalcat cat converter, Sounds sweet to me, loud but not unbearably so. Sounds menacing at low revs and turns into a really angry bark higher in the revs. Would be the way to go if you have a tight budget in mind.
  11. The amount of punishment it can take all comes down to the quality of the parts, how well it was put together and of course how much you abuse it when you drive it. Bang for buck in my opinion strengthening the rb25 is a lot better. I mean having a fully built 25 and turbo upgrade will still see you around 300 or more kilowatts at the wheels, and thats some serious power. Its true that if you put the same size turbo on an rb25 and an rb25/30 the turbo will spool a little quicker on the 30 as it has the increased capacity. The 25/30 will also produce some more torque. So at the end of the day a fully built 25/30 can have a bigger turbo on the side of it than a normal 25 meaning increased peak power plus you will also gain additional torque, but these benefits do come at a larger price tag than overhauling an rb25 In the end if you car is making in excess of 300rwkws and its still not enough, then your as crazy as some of the people on this forum
  12. Greetings and welcome to SAU! buy a boost controller and ramp it up to 13 psi, then it will be louder Dont bother replacing your blow off valve, its just a total waste of money. The stock one performs great. Save the cash for go-fast mods If your going to buy a pod filter, dont bother spending big bucks on one, any cheap one will do, as a lot of the brands use the same filter element. So your basically just paying for the brand name. Just make sure its a dry filter not an oiled filter. Mine cost 30 bucks and works like a dream. Like has been said, oil from the oiled filter variety can enter the air flow meter and cause all kinds of extremely annoying problems. if you install a pod filter, you will also need to enclose it fully as its illegal to have one un enclosed. You can either bend one up yourself out of some galvanised or aluminium sheet, or buy a plastic ready made one off ebay.
  13. im in as well if you come to melbourne guilt toy
  14. who cares if your faster or slower, at least your not driving a holden
  15. stay true to your gtst and fly the rb25det flag proud! id personally just forge the 25, cheapest option, especially since youve got all the supporting hardware and mods to make big power. I just love cars with powerhouse rb25dets, i think its the part of me that always goes for the underdog haha. Just my opinion though. If you must do a conversion, id go the 25/30. You will use most if not all of that 12k on it though depending on the quality of the parts you use. A friend of mine has a 25/30, hes a mechanic and did everything himself except install and tune the power fc and it still cost him over 10k. Cant argue with the results though, 300rwkws and something like 800nm of torque. Motor itself is capable of about 400rwkws, but at the moment has a small (ish) turbo on it for response and low down pull, and on top of that the sound is just unbelievable
  16. ok well ill give you 200 for both with rails. If you could put them in a box for me as ill organise freight for them.
  17. i think the main two factors that determine how much your car will be worth is year model and kms not whats done to it. As the majority of people buying will be looking at general condition of the car as opposed to whats done to it, mods generally dont add any value to a car. Mines a 95 r33 with 120,000kms light mods for 200rwkws, i wouldnt expect much over 10k for mine. Its a great buyers market at the moment, i really want a 33 gtr as they are going for nothing these days, but the catch 22 is that i cant sell the car i currently own for as much as i think its worth. to answer the original question, i reckon you would get about 10-12 grand for the r33, depending on condition and kms etc, and then you would find a decent stagea for around the 15k mark. (im not entirely sure on what stageas go for these days)
  18. where are you located?? so by the title im to assume its for two seats with rails?? will they suit an r33??
  19. i cant say i liked any of the nfs games too much. i have pro street, was ok, but didnt really juice my lemon. Same as all the previous NFS games. i would like the new one if: it had the realism of gt5 had an unbelievable amount of mods both mechanically and aesthetically courses included the wangan, mt fuji mountain roads, mt akina from initial D, tsukuba circuit, bathurst and the piece de resistance - winton motor raceway Removed ALL american influence and replace design team with the guys from tokyo xtreme racer or wangan midnight and youve got yourself the best game in the world
  20. a friend of mine had a supercharged rb25/30 in his vl commy. The amount of time and money it cost was really not worth it. Basically everything needed to be custom made and fabricated, even down to the supercharger. Dont get me wrong, the car went really well, but its a lot cheaper and easier to upgrade the turbo on an rb25 Depends on how much your willing to spend to be different
  21. i think the club lock can work against you. Thieves may walk past your car, see the clublock on the wheel and assume that you dont have an alarm and then try to break into it. i have an immobiliser with alarm. all black wiring so the wires dont stick out at all in the loom, just blends in with all the other wiring. very worrying about all the skylines being stolen, especially since im moving down there after xmas
