  5. Hey guys, I'm currently in the process of building an RB26/30. Bottom end is complete and has Arias flat top pistons with no valve reliefs. With RBs being interference motors, does anyone know what kind of cam lift I should be running so that I don't end up with bent valves? I will be checking the clearances but I'd like to know what to expect. It is a street car so I'm not planning on stupidly high lifts or duration, especially being an RB30. I was considering 10-10.25mm lift, but then considering that the pistons are flat top and without having measured clearances yet, I've decided even 9.15 or 9.7mm lift may suffice for the application. I would appreciate any help, Cheers
  6. Cheers guys, going to go have a look at it tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. I have a 32 of my own and I know just how hard it is to find a decent example. Obviously it's going to be difficult to tell how hard of a life a car has had, even if it's presented well - You can only be so fussy with cars of this age lol. Also about the engine bay colour, my 32 is silver and also has a different colour engine bay, slightly faded. It's normal as far as I'm aware
  7. Very cheap, I painted these and sold them to Chris along with an RB26 cylinder head. The supplies and the time taken to prepare and paint these is more than the asking price, and that's not including the cost of the covers themselves.
  8. Hey guys, A friend of mine is looking to buy an R32 GTR. We live in Perth but are planning on going down to Dunsborough over the weekend to check this one out: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/dunsborough/cars-vans-utes/1993-nissan-r32-gtr-skyline-coupe/1041996076. If anyone has seen this GTR before or knows anything about it, is it a good buy? The price is very fair given the work done to the car and the overall apparent condition of it. There will be a mechanic coming along to check it out too. Cheers.
  9. Did not know about Bosch 2000s being 2200
  10. The fuel setup you've mentioned should do the job no problems. I'm currently building a big HP engine and am going to run 2 x Bosch 044 external pumps into a 2L surge tank for E85. I'd recommend Injector Dynamics ID2000 injectors as they're actually ~2200cc and will have better properties for idle tuning. For the clutch, I'd recommend contacting Direct Clutch Australia. Their twin plate will hold the power and torque well and driveability will be decent too. It'll set you back around $1900, +$100 or so for a push to pull converter seeing as your gearbox may be the later pull type.
  11. Sorry to go slightly off topic, but doesn't the RB26 balancer fit on the RB30 crank providing you are using the RB26 head?
  12. Annnnd back up for sale.
  13. Admins please close - No longer for sale
  14. Precision 6466. This should be interesting.
  15. The block has more work done such as restrictors etc. But that's all I remember from the top of my head. It's a series 2 turbo block.
  16. Located Perth, WA. Shipping is no problem.
  17. Hey guys, Putting an EOI on my RB30 short motor, hasn't been used since assembled. Specs are as follows: CP Forged pistons for 9:1 CR with RB25/26 Head A.R.T 4340 Forged Chromemoly Rods with ARP 2000 fasteners Fully balanced crank Block crack tested and acid bathed ACL Race series bearings with ARP main studs All bearings clearanced Selling due to going for a different setup. I also have an R34 reconditioned RB26 head to go with this with intake side and stock cams + injectors (no covers though). I'm after $5800 for the short block and $1100 for the head and intake setup. The engine is built to handle upwards of 900HP no problem. Please PM or contact me on 0411 271 646 if you're interested. Can't upload pics as I'm writing this from my phone but I can SMS them on request and I'll add some pics when I get home. Cheers
  18. Also interested in this. I am building a 26/30 at the moment and will be ordering a twin plate from Direct Clutches Australia. Expecting to push a high torque figure so I'm going to have to be quite gentle on the box.
  19. Is there a decent amount of clearance between the T4 flange and the rocker covers to fit a large frame turbo Twin/Single gated?
  20. Hey guys, So I'm currently building my RB26/30, it's almost done and I just need to sort out the oil control. I've been looking at sump extensions but I'm not sure what will be appropriate for this application. The bit confusing me is the oil pickup, as I know that the location on the block of an RB30 is different to that on an RB26. If I bought a weld on kit (say Trust 1.5L extension) for my 26 sump, would the oil pickup that comes with this kit be able to be used with the RB30? Any help is appreciated, Cheers.
  21. Bump. Only selling the complete package now. $1200 + Shipping.
  22. Bump someone make me a cdecent offer and take it off my hands! Nothing wrong with the turbo.
  23. I shall be ordering one of your crank collars.
