  1. I want to know too. Got a quote for the leather in our tanned seats and no one can seem to match the leather, replacing everything seems too costly. Nissan said it can't be fixed and could get the front seats for me for 10k
  2. Tried turtle wax on my V worked great! Whatever you do don't use toothpaste that shit will leave your headlights foggy in the long run (too abrasive).
  3. Cold start revs to about 1500 then drops to around 600 mark when warm, mines never idled above 2k. Is it cold where you are?
  4. I'm not sure the Bose came with a sub. At least mine didn't, just two 6x9 woofers on the back deck for decent bass.
  5. Nah, there were several witnesses that saw him turn when he wasn't suppose to. However i did have 2 mates in the car and being winter we all had hoodies lol. When we were waiting for the police to arrive we did get drivers past us and shake their heads haha. We did look sus though (3 youths in hoodies on a friday night next to a crashed import).
  6. The guy said no idea roughly 2-3 weeks depends on how fast they ship the parts from japan. But god damn it that car handled well even when i spun out lol
  7. Saw the same car this weekend. I would've said hi in my V but too bad i was driving a replacement car as mine got clipped and absolutely hammered the day before.
  8. Good news! Just spoke to the mech and he said the other party is admitting fault and their insurance is paying for the repair. Phew!! I get to keep my baby
  9. Insured for 18k. but i've spent like over 3.5k getting it fixed up. Power windows, locks, brakes, rotors, tires and other stuff like dash kit and head units because the stock one was broken and couldn't play anything.....also just paid 450 bux to get a spare key a few days ago Not sure if they count that in.... Edit: Also 18k is under insured. NRMA wouldn't let me put down more they only put down the value i purchased it even when i told them it might cost me a few extra g's to get it all fixed up. By the way what's the market value for our cars?
  10. Cheers guys, I've told my insurance company about the incident and their telling me to wait till Monday for his insurance company to send out an assessor and decide whether or not to repair it or write it off. So far their estimating the damage to be around 15-17k.
  11. Hey guys. So last night i was driving down anzac pde, green light going straight then suddenly this guy from the opposing lane turns right and wings the right rear of my car, made me spin out too. Both cars had to get towed. Police was called to the incident and the fault lies with him for not giving way. The towing company is telling me not to go to my insurance company and reporting this incident as they will go after his insurance for third party or something? Can someone explain to me wth is going on? This is my first accident so i'm not too sure of the standard procedures.
  12. Nuwan from Melbourne? I think i spoke to you on the phone back a while ago for a JDM dashkit. Cheers man. Also i have the key programmed. Just need to do a reset procedure once my power lock button is working again. Thanks anyway.
  13. Good news! .... well kinda. So i went to Bensons Locksmith they managed to get my key programmed and it works, i can gain entry and start the engine with it. But they couldn't get the remote to work. They tried for over 2 hours and no luck, their thinking it might be because of a faulty wire that's causing the procedure to fail because the lock button on the drivers door only seems to be locking/unlocking the passenger side. 1. Close and lock all doors with the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch. 2. Insert key into ignition and remove it from the ignition key cylinder at least six times within 10 seconds. Your Hazard Lamps will flash if you have performed this step successfully. NOTE: Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time. If this procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter programming mode. 3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position. 4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the remote transmitter. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. NOTE: Do not press the button more than one time in the above step. If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful. 5. If there are any remaining transmitters (including the old ones), unlock then lock all doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch and within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the next remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. Repeat this step for each transmitter (including any existing transmitters). 6. Turn the key to the OFF position, remove keys from the ignition, unlock doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch and open the driver side door. Here's what i can find so far on how to program the remote.I think it's because of step 1 that my driver side power lock/unlock only does the passenger side....would this be the reason causing it to fail or is there something else i'm missing?
  14. But it's still got to be programmed to the cars NATS to recognize the new key?
  15. As soon as i mention import these dealerships tell me their computers only recognize Australian delivered vehicles. I think i read somewhere Hornsby Nissan had some success, but they told me trial and error, David in their workshop said it worked for one v35 he did a while back but failed for another. What's the difference with getting the key cloned compared to actually coding the new key?
  16. Interesting. I just called up a few locksmiths and been told they don't do imports. Called up a few Nissan dealerships and they also told me they can't do imports because their computer only recognizes Australian delivered cars. What codes do i need exactly?
  17. Oh sweet thanks. I messaged Chris Rogers and he said any locksmith in Sydney should be able to do it. Not too sure about that. But any recommendations?
  18. Got Nissan dealership to order a key and remote for my car. Now the key arrived ($400) but for some reason they can't code it. From what they told me they got the code loaded but the computer wont initialize it as it brings up some sort of error. So i've just wasted 400 bux on a key that cant be used right now. I spoke to Indy here from IS motor racing and he said unfortunately he cant do keys. Does anyone know where i can get the spare key coded and working here in Sydney?
  19. +1 for nuwan. Got my double DIN fascia from him. Good price and fast delivery. I've got his direct mobile PM me.
  20. Good point. I'll give that a try next time and see if the grinding still happens.
  21. I hear a grinding when i drive off and it hits second gear. Only happens on a cold start and it grinds for a second. Anyone know if that could be abs too? Btw mines auto. Not sure if gearbox or this abs u guys mention.
  22. Mines got the same issue, it's pretty common with the V owners. Anyone know a place in Sydney that could get it fixed?
  23. I'm having a similiar issue with the boot. Remote works with the doors but boot doesnt work. Is there a fuse for that?
  24. Anyone here in the Silver V35 at Perisher this weekend? you asked me about snow chains, didn't get your name.
  25. The trunk lid button on my FOB doesn't work but the latch next to the VDC works. Is this a remote issue or sensor?
