  1. i know this has been discussed before but i cant find it... Who has 19's on their r33 gtst and what tyre dimensions are they running? was any mods needed to fit and are they a pain in the ass?(overkill) im looking for some new rims and im thinking if im gonna spend $'s on some 18's i may aswell spend a bit more for 19's any advice would be good

  3. sorry guys this thread was a waste of time... reason i was writing this post was i have currently achieved 231 rwkw on 14psi on a hks 2535. i want to put bigger injectors in and add 3-4 psi of boost, but i was doubting if my engine could handle it

  6. whats the point then. Pushing your car for an extra 20 kw if it could and probably will all in end in disaster. it also says he has spent over 6 figures, thats a lot of money for a penis extension.
  7. bathurst??? last thing on my mind when im modifying my car reason im asking is i thought standard internal rb25 were only good for bit over 250rwkw??? oh yeah on the dvd he says last tune he made 280rwkw but on this dyno he makes 301rwkw. wtf??? wish my car could jump 20 kw when i put it on another dyno
  8. has anyone seen the gold r33 on the front cover of the latest fast 4's? the mag comes with a dvd that goes through the build up and all of the mods. The car pulls 301 rwkw on the dvd. I didnt know that was possible for a internally standard rb25det? Also its producing that power at 20psi+. This says alot about the strength and tuning of the rb25. I dont want to start crap but wont reliabilty become a big issue constantly producing those numbers????
  9. my fat ass sister in law backed into my car in the driveway. i only had the car for 2 weeks when she did it. i fractured a bone in foot from kicking the shit out of the front of her car so much. we joke bout it now but unless u catch them in the act most ppl will drive off.
  10. yeah i bought a the turbo off this website. the guy wanted to bring his car back to stock so i exchanged the standard turbo for the HKS 2535. It was second hand but i had a few mechanics look at it and they said it was fine. Happy hunting
  11. wouldnt mind a bit more boost but its fine. just coming to uni now i nailed out of a corner through second and the wheels start to let go and i have new 265's on the rear so im happy with that.
  12. im a tight ass uni student to get me these results it cost me jack pfc $980 delivered nismo fpr $155 delivered hks 2535 $1300 exchange z32 afm $230 delivered tuning $500 total $3150-3200 installed turbo myself already had: 3" exhaust bosch 044 pump surge tank 5 puk clutch simple crap (boost controller, pod filter, bov) no idea wat pressure in fuel rail (maybe 38psi)
  13. i'd like to get injectors in by the end of the year, i can only push the car so much cos even if i get bigger injectors and turn the boost up its gonna be a big stress on the internals
  14. Already spoke bout my results in silvar33 post but as i promised i would put up my results again with a graph. I had it tuned at chasers and im happy with the results. 231.1rwkw hks 2535 pfc z32 afm nismo fpr bosch 044 fuel pump (standard internals & standard injectors) results were achieved in shoot-out mode very happy with the car now and makes more power everywhere. tune is very safe, injectors only getting 85-90% and knock not getting above 15-16
  15. mines in shoot-out mode, hopefully get it up tonight when i get home. my curve is a bit smoother than silvar33. prob cos i get a z32 afm. will post up tonight oh yeah my clutch is holding up ok too. its a 5-puk clutch i believe. dont know the specifics tho. what clutch are you running silva???
  16. this is what ive come up with. i bought my series 1 r33 18 months ago with basics -3 inch exhaust -boost controller -pod filter -rims -bov -fuel pump -surge tank -turbo timer since then ive bought -intercooler $400 -piping $250 -fpr $150 -power fc $1000 -hks 2535 $1300 exchange for standard -z32 afm $220 -tuning $500 TOTAL - $3820 everything else is standard though ive achieved 231 rwkw relatively cheaply, ive wasted plenty of money other crap like body kit, sound system, clearing defects, servicing etc. for anyone out there looking to achieve strong, safe reliable results this is one option that you should look into. this website is great for finding second hand parts in good condition by the way my engine bay looks completely stock except for red rocker covers
  17. yeah mine is really smooth, i thought it be a bit laggy but its pretty good. im making full boost at 3000-3200rpm. oh yeah my traction issues arent to bad, got brand new tyres tho. ill put up my graph tommorrow arvo, there isnt any significant dips in my curve and theres no spiking
  18. i just got my power fc tuned with my 2535 bolted up. Ended up with 231.1rwkw at 13-14psi. i do have a z32 afm and a nismo fpr and i'm very happy with the results. max knock is 11 and injectors get to max duty of 84% as far as ive seen. Like silvar33 my exhaust is a little restrictive. My tune feels very strong on boost but safe. Chasers tuned the car and they said on other dynos it might squeeze out a few more kw's but im happy with the performance of the car. For those people who believe that a HKS turbo is a waste of money im happy to take them for a drive and show them the difference. No comparison compared to standard
  19. im pretty sure its the starter motor cos when i watch the knock reading it jumps up when the starter motor ticks over, its just a really quick impulse. is the knock sensor really sensitive or is there a problem?
  20. when i first plugged in the power fc there was no knock on start up. it has been colder lately. it gets tuned on thursday so hopefully all issues will be solved.
  21. that would make sense since it is bloody freezing here. the car gets tuned on thursday so ill post up the results on friday hopefully
  22. still havent got my power fc tuned yet. its booked in next thursday. Just a bit curious about one thing when i turn my car over and its dead cold I get a knock reading of about 55-60. driving its fine, knock doesnt get above 10-12 but just when i start up, anything to worry about???
  23. so my next question is does any have a standard heat shield that they dont want any more??? the cops in my area are ruthless.
  24. will a standard turbo heat shield fit over a hks 2535??? im paranoid of getting defected. im trying to get my engine bay as stock looking as possible but have 230rwkw.
