Acording to the NSW RTA website they use VSB14... So i think the RTA is a little confused as to what their rule is. Also note: i actually read some of the clauses. If you dont't increase the power output by more than 20% you don't need one. However if you fit pretty much anything (Brakes is the big one) that isnt a factory option or made by the original manufacturer it does require one. SO pretty much you need an engineer cert for buying an import rofl...

Alright. Found out. As long as your car Complies with the: Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Regulation 2007 Vehicle Standards Bulletin 14 (VSB 14) It DOESN'T require en engineer cert. HOWEVER (and this is why you hear different things) from what i can see there is no clear way to show that a modified car does comply. Hence police/RTA are lazy and just tell you to get your car engineered. In Conclusion=Farked. If that helps you can read the clause that got you defected (from VSB 14) and check to see if it complies. If it does comply jut take a print out of that clause and go FK YOU HERE LOOK. Hope that kinda helps.

Ill do more research. Got a few contacts . I don't understand how a change to the emissions would need engineering as long as it still passes the RTA test. The only reason i can think that power change needs engineering is some odd Brake rule. Stating stopping power vs engine Power. Even then it shouldn't matter. My dad mods cars left right and centre and has for over 30 years in NSW. The ONLY time he had to engineer a car was his R/T charger that he dropped a viper v10 into for the lulz. And the reason he had to get it engineered is because he put retractable seat belts in (They where fitted in the model year after and used the same mounts). Like i said ill ask around and see if i can find the exact rule too. It's going to bug me as im looking at moving out of the act back into NSW and i really don't want to engineer my GTR

I'm like 90% you only need to engineer a car if you change the strength of the overall car. For example Cut front bar for intercooler piping. or cut away at the firewall for other lines etc. From what ive read most places stretch the rules of that to be a pain. To change turbos/wheels even piston rods doesn't need to be engineered. Huge waste of money and time considering they can still defect you.

+1 for the original Dawn of War. The second one was terribly bad however. BF3 is at least twice as good as any cod game. The problem with it however is on PC its full of snipers that just spawn camp. Completely ruined one of the best games ive ever played. On a side note ABES ODYSSEY from PS1 is coming back in HD. Words can not describe how excited i am.

Ya numpty wasn't on SAU when i got the GTR lol. Also it failed RWC when i got it because the exhaust was too low coming out of the engine. So i just got the whole lot re done.

And having flames spit out of your exhaust won't be a cop magnet. Right....
