  1. Honestly though, go drive a new performance car and you will see why i say GTR's feel like dinosaurs. In saying that everything these days is electric, it's nice having a mechanical feeling car in the R. That's probably what i love most. But like i said. Realistically if my GTR was driven more than a few times a month, and i didn't love it like i did. I would have been much better off buying a C63 that is a few years old or possibly an M3 (and yes the $ i have spent on this car is pretty much equal to a few years old C63 or M3). Hell you even have cars like the Golf R. That will walk tails around most GTR's, especially if it is chipped. Or even the new focus ST will be just as good... Point is, my GTR is 26 years old. I can't drive it daily, hell i can hardly drive it weekly without issues. value for money just isn't there anymore. But in saying that, it isn't going anywhere. This car is special to me, hence why i have no issues with the $ i have to spend on it. However i am under no delusions that these cars are the bees knees like they used to be, because to be blunt, they are not.
  2. dunno about that, GTR's do break a heap.
  3. Look at the history of every classic car ever mate. They are only going to go up.
  4. Prices are only going to go up that's for sure.
  5. Everyone knows for touring you are better off with more Cyl. A V8 will sit much more nicely for long distance driving. Not to mention i don't know anyone that says a skyline is "comfortable", they are anything but. Basically you are complaining because you bought the wrong car for what you do...
  6. Every major city in Australia has windy hill areas close by. Hell i have a choice of 3 or 4 really good locations less than 30 minutes away from me. And as RBN1 said. If you are going for straight line i wouldn't even buy a GTS-T.
  7. Pretty much what pigg said. I was talking to my tuner about how E85 will go with sitting for a while. His response was "Our WRX sits for 6 months at a time and we have never had an issue, even then the flex will cover and minor changes, so don't worry about it"
  8. Just to cover my experience on this as i have also had both a gts-t and a gtr. the 4wd system in a 32 is actually very well balanced with a couple of mods, and in my opinion, is better than the 33 and 34 system. A new G sensor really wakes it up, i have lost count on how many times the 4wd has helped my car even on the street. Due to how many roundabouts we have it really opens up. Not to mention that you can throw more power at them even in a straight line. My car is effectively factory optioned, with an ECU. Running -7's and E85 it's making just shy of 340kw. And i see the 4WD come on quite often, and my god it does make a difference to the feel of the car. Especially when going up hills. Now in saying that the way i look at GTS-T vs GTR (remember this is just an opinion) If i wanted a Dyno queen i would build a GTS-t. Stroked RB30 with a big f**k off single and job done. If i want a car that drives beautifully on the street, that needs to cover all sorts of bases (hills, twisties, straights etc) i will buy the GTR. Now yes as RBN1 said it does add complication, but realistically at under 400kw the complication doesn't come from the diffs or turbos. It's just the oil issues. If you get on top of those in a 26 you are usually ok (lol jokes i've had sooo many issues) TL;DR if you want a car with heaps of power, just build a GTS-T. If you want a car you can properly drive, build an R.
  9. you callin me a youthful feckwit?
  10. Don't know if i'm special and reading this incorrectly.. Are you asking about the fuel sitting in the barrels or in the car?
  11. ^^ Hardly There is no other way of putting it. GTR's are dinosaurs now. And they show their age. You really do have to love them to put up with them. And you will struggle to find someone that enjoys his car more than me. But you have to be realistic. Legit the only reason you would buy a 32/33/34 and mod the crap out of it to drive it on the street is because of nostalgia. value for money wise you can get much more these days.
  12. Still are. I need to arrange to get mine on...
  13. Oh. My. God. Would look good on my car... http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/218039601&thumb=http://auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/ra118/users/1/0/0/9/bnr340027-thumb-145993167180295023623162.jpg&title=GT%20R%20NISMO%20RB26%20S1%20BNR34BCNR33BNR32

  17. 332kw on 98 with -7's? I call shenanigans.
  18. a royal pain in the ass to fit. After you get the hang of it it's ok.... but it took around 4 hours.. 3.5 of which was on the front 2. The rear seat was easy.
  19. apologies for the bad quality.. will fix that shortly....
  20. GTR... and for the cube...
  21. now it just needs a good clean.
  22. Took the R out today for lunch. Don't know if i'm just imaging it or if it's true but it feels smoother with the ARC box than the Pods did. Also makes a good noise. The pods were a little too loud for me (i don't like loud cars), but it still has enough noise on boost. Overall very happy with the purchase. Also didn't suck the filter in, so i appear to be all good =) also 500 error is fixed.
  23. All the rare items are gone because i'm stealing them all!
