  1. the idea was i'm sick of full towers taking up the space. This has just as much power as a full tower, just tiny. The case is heaps smaller than it looks. sorta get a feeling for it's size when you see it next to the keyboard.
  2. Mind the messy building desk. Still setting it up.
  3. i will point out mini itx is amazing.
  4. So my old PC died last week.... Queue the new little grunty asshole. Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 Motherboard Intel Core i7 6700K Corsair Vengeance LPX 2133 16GB DDR4 ASUS GeForce® GTX 970 DC Mini Intel 535 Series 240GB 2.5in SSD Western Digital WD Black WD7500BPKX 750GB All shoved inside a Lian Li Just finished building it and it's updating. Can't wait to test it properly.
  5. probably point out since the needle isn't on dead indicates it has been dropped. May have to get it repaired before sale.
  6. They sell for around the $200-250 Mark mate.
  7. in theory they should, very true.
  8. So my 8 year old PC is finally on it's last legs... Making all sorts of sounds it shouldn't. Currently pricing up a Mini ITX gaming PC as i'm sick of the space full towers take up. Cost wise the new stuff is pretty reasonably priced. I think i'm looking at $2500 all up including a new shiney monitor as mine are hella old. I'm having an issue finding a suitable GPU. From what i can find there is only 1 GPU currently out (an Asus gtx 970) worth buying that will fit in my case, as i only have 200mm to work with. And the new cards come out early next year, it's probably worth the wait....So should i just put up with a PC that sounds like satans spawn? Apparently the new cards are heaps better.
  9. Nah bro red bull will win next year.
  10. Wait people do maintenance on their cars? Dude i thought they just worked... Shi-
  11. a gtr motor went bang? nooo never! Also that engine is beautiful.
  12. I was going to leave the conversation at what it was but this comment has just got under my skin in usual smart ass Troy fashion. First of all, you didn't bring any new information to this thread. None what so ever. Literally all you said was "i'm part of an online community so i know better" but you didn't provide any link or anything so that people that may want further information can get it. And you didn't post it because you don't want to be judged? Mate if people are going to judge you they already have. You could have said you were the president of the united states for all i care. You can't come out making statements being like "i'm better than everyone because i'm part of something no one else is" if the knowledge in this magical place is so good share the bloody thing. On top of that, all you have said is "drugs don't harm the user as much as people think" and you completely ignored the elephant in the room. The issue with that is, most people against drugs don't give a f**k if the user harms themselves. Honestly. No f**ks given. Your family will care, but everyone else? No f**ks given. However, if you say, drive high and hit a family killing them people will pay huge attention. That is where the line is drawn. The issue arrives when it starts to impact the people around you. I suppose it's one of those things i was told "you'll understand when you have kids" and you really do. And i know you will turn back to Alcohol. Again i say this is a perfect example as to why drugs should not be legal. This nation has enough of an issue dealing with alcohol as it is. The government pours money into rehab clinics, the police force, and pretty much everything they can think of to stop alcohol related deaths. Not to mention the centerlink payments that go to those people not willing to work due to addiction. It is one of our biggest problems currently facing our police force. Now you can't honestly sit there and say that adding drugs to that would do this nation any good. When the government is going around trying to restrict alcohol more, adding lock out times for both bars and shops and it is still one of our biggest current issues. So the answer i want is: Why should my tax dollars go to druggies rehab clinics/police force/centerlink payments instead of schools and health care because some people wanted to have a slightly better night? Why should peoples lives be put at risk (again not the users lives, other people. ) because some people wanted to have a slightly better night? Why should work places have to deal with that shit and potentially have lives at risk due to peoples negligence? Now if this magical forum of knowledge and wealth (yet to know if it actually exists) can prove that tax dollars won't be spent trying to fix an issue that would make alcohol look like a walk in the park, if this magical forum of knowledge and wealth can prove that it won't put other peoples lives at risk, and if this magical forum of knowledge and wealth can prove it won't have a negative impact on workplaces and other parts of society then sure... Legalise it. Again i know this is something we both won't ever agree on. But i couldn't let that comment sit. Also. This is coming from the guy that sits on the pharmacy board for Australia* so prove me wrong. *User may or may not sit on the pharmacy board for Australia, but you will never know because i didn't provide any proof.
  13. The line is drawn at where you can destroy other peoples life. And yes i know alcohol does that. But that is why they are tightening restrictions of alcohol. It is already in to deep to get rid of it. I hate the impact alcohol has had on society as it is (i don't drink) Also i can guarantee that the extra tax revenue from drugs would go straight into drug treatment facilities, domestic violence issues, centrelink payments, more cops etc.etc. and Mitch freedom of choice i get, i really do. But if you say decide to do drugs, and kill someone from a car accident or w/e. What choice did they get? Just because you wanted to get high justifies someones child being killed? How selfish we have become. I'll use an example for you mate: What would you do if someone turned up to work high all the time? Old mate Fire would be back! What financial impact does that have on the business? It costs my contract about 20k a month when we lose someone. It's not a cheap process. And to be perfectly frank, anyone that thinks they need to do drugs to have a good time needs to take a long hard look at themselves.
  14. ^^ word there sums it up. So as i said. Lets ignore medical use all together. We are talking the "party drugs" or "social users/addicts" (social user/addict is the same thing btw, just how they justify it to themselves is different) Try telling your boss that you are a social user when you turn up high to work. Or when the cops pull you over. Or god forbid you have an accident and hurt someone.
  15. Also can we ignore the medical side of things please? People have said yes it should be looked into. We are not talking about medical use. We are talking about the other side of drugs. COMPLETELY different.
  16. I honestly don't understand why people keep going back to drinking and using it as an argument for allowing drugs, looking at alcohol is the perfect example of why they shouldn't be legal. Hell alcohol is getting tighter restrictions put on it every year! We have enough of an issue with alcohol as it is. Look at all the issues around pubs, drink driving, domestic violence Saying "well alcohol is legal, why can't drugs be legal" is a load of crap only pushed by users. Honestly allowing drugs would like alcohol look like childs play. You also keep going on to say "addicts are the issue, social users are fine etc etc" It only takes 1 "social user" to crash their car into a family killing someone (or all of them) it only takes 1 "social user" that gets paranoid on drugs to do something stupid. It only takes 1 "Social user" to turn up to work high and risk the lives of other work personnel. Hell look at the impact drugs have on a family. It also only takes 1 "social user" to become an addict. All addicts were social users at some point.
  17. IcedTea mate, never go full retard. ^^ Only reason alcohol does more harm than the others is because it is legal. Think of the damage legalizing all those drugs would do. Comparing alcohol to it proves why drugs shouldn't be legalized. Also i would like to point out that this topic wasn't ever for medical purpose. It was talking about the harm party drugs can do. Stop trying to be the "all wise critical thinker that is above everyone" and get off ye f**king high horse
  18. his statement is correct. All illicit drugs are bad. Government made drugs are completely different. For starters they are made in clean factories. Not jims basement
  19. The point of the thread actually had nothing to do with productive uses of drugs.
  20. Yeah this paper just recaps the other stuff i have read.....
