hey all, iv recently purchased a r32 for a decent price but it has a gearbox problem sounds like a input shaft bearing, i was wondering, is it cheaper to replace the box with another rb20 gearbox, or rebuild? I was also thinking to go for a stronger box out of another car like a r33 gtst or RB30 but i heard they might custom mounts to make them fit. thanks

hey guys iv recently purchased a r33 skyline wreck complete with the box and the engine complete with turbo etc, i know that the N/A skyline box is smaller so i wanted to know if the GTST box will bolt up to a RB25DE? I plan to turbo it afterwards, and if it blows throw in the DET. Thanks

Hey, i replaced my clutch fan yesterday for my R33 N/A it seized. To get it out i had to remove the top hose connecting to the radiator, so i did that a bit coolant came out, i reconnected the hose and topped it up. The car is now overheating, when idle it keeps going up i stop at 90 degrees and turn the car off, while driving it goes back down to 80 like normal, and when the radiator cap is off it doesnt overheat either. For a few minutes i bled the radiator of air bubbles saw a few came out then stopped. Today i turned on the car and it kept rising again. Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks

Im looking to do a tune on my car with SAFC II but i thought it would be a definite waste without a full exhaust system. Anyone know where in Sydney i can pick some up, all i can find is ebay ones for $600 im looking to spend a bit less then that. If anyone knows a place, let me know. Thanks.

I would of thought originally to tune it aswell, but it said it doesnt need to be done.

Iv searched everywhere and i can't seem to find threads about people putting poncams into a RB25DE, has anyone installed these before? Im getting the ones that are straight drop in no tune needed. Iv had people who have had decent gains on N/A Sr20s but nothing on RB25DE, if anyone has any insight on this, let me know cheers.

I have had my r33 for a while and im thinking seriously about starting to drift on track days. It had its major service 10,000KM ago. Im pretty sure the Gearbox oil and the diff oil has never been changed since the last owner neglected it. Should i change that before taking it anywhere? Thanks

Hey all, i was thinking about doing the turbo conversion to my skyline. I was told that the gearbox is half the size of the one in DET, i just wanted to know if its worth doing it the conversion, i don't want to be changing the gearbox anytime soon. I heard anything after 200rwkw would be putting allot of strain on it. If anyone knows about it, let me know. Thanks

Tried the wd40 got 2 of the bolts off in the middle of the control arm, but not the bolts that are connected to the car., i cant figure out why none of them arnt moving a inch. Its that bolt near the bottom right of the photo, im putting the spanner on and pushing it counter clockwise, if anyone else has got an ideas please let me know. cheers!

Im having trouble removing the left lower control arm off my r33 i hit a gutter today at a slow speed but still enough to just bend my control arm, everything else seems alright, i jacked up the car today, and tryed removing the 4 bolts from any part of the control arm, and none of them seemed to budge at all.. I removed the split pin that was in the ball joint next to hub, but other then that nothing, thought it was easy enough.... guessed wrong haha. Cant find a tutorial on it , anyone know how to do this???? thanks!

I wanted to get a white line rear sway bar while saving for coil overs for my N/A r33, anyone know what the standard sizes are, i heard some sway bars bolt straight on as a replacement and some need modifications for thicker bars. Thanks

Yeah i just jacked up the car its got an lsd. I will have to get it shimmed, and probably some coil overs if im going to start drifting(in the wet for now lol)

Haha i just edited that part of my profile as you were posting, Yeah i have a r33 non turbo. i think the auto diffs have a 4.3 something ratio, which is higher then the manual ones.

I was watching the drifting going on at Eastern creek last night , and i saw a r33 skyline non turbo drifting he did have alot of trouble with his single spinner, but towards the end he got alot better, he also stock suspension by the looks of it. I was thinking about throwing on some coil overs and a turbo r33 lsd heard the gear ratios were the same. Anyone ever installed the GTST LSD on a n/a? does it handle alot better?

So i just gave my AAC Valve a good clean, stuck it back in and noticed no change, my car is N/A R33. From a mixture of start and stop of 13km i still managed to use 2.3L of fuel. Should i have to reset the ECU?
