  1. OK, I'll have to look into it. I think mine is on for roughly 10s.
  2. I need to have a look to the system that's fitted to my 260RS. I know it's some Jap name brand. 3" stainless. It's fairly quiet in normal driving, but gets quite angry when you get up it... just as you'd want it I'm very happy with it.
  3. I looked at it the other day. It certainly says on longer than 2-5 seconds, maybe even 10 or more. I might see what I can find out from the manual. I'm sure it would stay on or flash constantly if there was any problem to be concerned about.
  4. Thanks mate. I ended up getting the correct O2 sensors. I thought the R33 GTR used Titania sensors, but I was wrong. THey're Zirconia.
  5. Thanks mate. Perhaps 30 seconds was a bit of a exageration. I'll check it out. It sounds like it's acting normal
  6. Is it normal for the airbag light to stay on after the engine is started for 30s (or maybe til I start moving)? I think my car has always done this. I know that it once had a non-airbag aftermarket wheel and the previous owner put a S2 airbag wheel on it. I just want to make sure the light is not an indication that something is wrong.
  7. Hey mate, just to clear things up. On my car it was the front sensor (which is connected to the rear of the 2 plugs) on the R33 RB26DETT that needs the connector to be replaced. It is an easy job to unpick the pins out of it and re-use the old shell. Took me less than 5 minutes Everyone seems to think it's the rear one. If anyone finds this, please let me know. Maybe my car is opposite Cheers, Simon
  8. Anyone selling one or know of one? Preferably in Brisbane
  9. That's terrible fuel efficiency. My Stagea 260RS has the same engine as yours, but lugs around an extra 200kg and I was getting 300-400km out of the tank before fitting the O2 sensors. So far, since fitting the sensors I've got 240km out of half a tank (half highway cruising, half mountain roads with the occasional flogging). Maybe something else is wrong. I'd suggest doing a fault code check or plugging COnsult into it (if you don't have Consult see if someone on the forum near you could lend it to you). THe number for GLobal EFI is 0755310055. There's a also a group-buy on O2 sensors going at the moment. I can't confirm if the group-buy sensors are identical to the ones sent to me from Global.
  10. Haha, thanks for the replies guys I spotted a green RS4 up Mt Tamborine. Anyone of you guys?
  11. Spotted a yellow one with 34 front in bunnings Nerang car park on Saturday. I had my white 260RS in the carpark
  12. I haven't seen a website or mail order (it would be nice). I just rang them. They are easy to deal with over the phone Update on results: the idle problem still seems to be happening (prob unrelated). I took the car camping on the weeken up Mt Tamborine, which involved both highway driving and mountain roads (and occasional flogging). So far I got 240km out of half a tank. I think that's the best we've ever got. If I get more than 400km out of the tank, then I'll know the O2 sensors have made an improvement.
  13. A mate of mine had a similar problem on his Nissan, except the car wouldn't start at all. He called in an auto sparky and the cause was dodgy connectors on the positive battery terminals. Off topic, but I noticed you live in Tamborine Mountains. I'm tatking the Stagea for it's first camping trip up there this weekend. What temperature does it get down to over night? Am I going to freeze by nuts off?
  14. Last night I put my sensors into my Stagea 260RS. I can confirm that the sensors are OZA395-E2 and they work prefectly. Apparently the 260RS is identical to the R33 GTR. I'd appreciate if someone can confirm. I'm pretty sure they are. Please see my notes in this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/O2...iew=getlastpost
  15. My post from the main O2 sensor thread: Horray! Success!! The O2 sensor socket arrived yesterday so last night I got stuck into the 260RS and switched over the O2 sensors. After much swearing and 3 HOURS, the job was done. I used NTK sensors that had the following number on the case OZA395-E2 KBA16693. They were ordered from Global EFI with part number 351-0040. Once the job was done, I stuck on Consult (at 12:30 at night) and watched the the voltage of both sensors flick up and down like it should at cruise (before, 1 sensor was doing pretty much nothing). The car seemed to idle nicer (I have had idle problems since I bought it), but this could just be in my head. I'm waiting for my wife to tell me how it cold-started this morning. I noticed the following things from this job: -The stock sensors are Zirconia, not Titania. I can't confirm that the R33 GTR is identical to the 260RS, but I'm told this is the case. -The leads on the new sensors were shorter than the old ones. This means I couldn't clip the lead onto all of the little guides, but at least they reached. -The rear sensor has a rectangular plug that fitted perfectly. The front sensor had a square shaped plug that was different. It was an easy job to unpick the connectors from the new plug and re-use the old plug. This meant that I didn't need to join wires or anything nasty like that -From what I've read in the past, I thought it was the rear sensor that had the square plug. Perhaps people are confused because the plugs that the O2 sensors go to are sat side by side. However, the front sensor goes to the rear plug and the rear sensor goes to the front plug! So there you go... the Stagea 260RS (and possibly R33 GTR) take the same Zirconia sensors as the GTS-T and at $77 from GLobal EFI, you can't really go wrong I'm very happy. Thanks heaps for all the advice guys.

  17. Spotted a white RS4 on Albert St in Brisbane city yesterday at about 6:10. I was on my pushie, waiting at an intersection. It pulled up nice and quietly next to me and I spotted the bonnet line out the corner of my eye. I said g'day to the guy in the passenger seat. Anyone on here?
  18. I have had a 260RS for 3 months. Apart from the obvious advantages of RB26DETT and GTR drivetrain, I've been very impressed by the overall build quality of the car. The interior has not rattles and is still like new after 10 years! The ride quality is excellent and the handling is damn good for a wagon. Actually, I think it handles better than my old GTI-R. Yeah, it gets lots of looks with people saying "WTF is that". The other day I was at the lights and a tradey in his ute pulled up next to me. My wife noticed he was looking at the front wheel and then his passenger leans forward and looks. Must be the brembos...tehy coudln't figure out who would put brembos on a wagon Hahaha. Oh yeah, if you want to keep your license, I wouldn't recommend a 260RS
  19. Nice work mate! 22 hours is damn good going You'll love the 260RS. We've had ours for 3 months now and everytime I drive it, I still love it. Even after driving my old GTI-R...
  20. This is the same one that was on ebay the other week. It mustn't have sold. Must have something wrong with it.
  21. Pete, the liquid LPG system sounds awesome. I've started to have thoughts about converting our Stagea 260RS to liquid LPG. Do you know of any installers in Brisbane?
  22. Heller: Thanks for the info I thought I might be needing some of those adapters, but I may not anymore.
  23. Madaz, thanks heaps for that information. I might have to give your test a try It makes sense, since the Titania sensor varies resistance (and requires a current flowing through it) and the Zirconia sensor varies voltage.
  24. I have been delaying with Global EFI for my O2 sensors. They seem to know what they are doing, have good prices and stock available. 5531 0055. THey sent me a NGK OZA395-E2 the other day. Their part number was 351-0040. Please confirm with them that the plug and thread size is suitable for a RB25DET. Mine is for the RB26DETT. They may be the same. I will find out soon.
  25. The 260RS has the same sized thread as the R33 GTR. It is the larger 18mm thread. The R32 GTR is the smaller 12mm thread. I assumed that since the R32 GTR uses Titania sensors, then the R33 must also use Titania. I have been searching and going off what other forums have said, as well as the fact that the wires on the stock 260RS sensors are white/white/black it looks like the R33 GTR may actually be Zirconia. Prior to this group-buy I had already purchased some OZA395 sensors which I thought were wrong. I am going to try them this week (once the socket arrives) and I will confirm back to the forum if they work or not. Hopefully that will stop the confusion. Simon
