Haha. I'm an ex-Villian. Never owned my Stagea when I lived up there. Used to have a GTI-R back in those days. Maybe one day I'll do a road trip up there to visit the inlaws..

OK Daleo, sign me up I'll send you a PM.

Hmmm. I'm guessing the rear ones are 260RS compatible (since you list 2WD). Can you confirm?
-
Bah! Not as sexy as a 260RS One of my mates has a manual Legnum. One day we swapped cars. The Legnum is far more punchy down low than my 260RS. The turbos must be tiny. It's also lighter and easier to flick around. Low-down power also made it better at the skid pan. Having said that, the 260RS pulls hard up in the revs and revs much higher in each gear. Still dunno which one is faster in a straight line, but I suspect the 260RS will reel him in at higher speeds. We both agreed that the 260RS felt better to drive. Plus, they are a whole lot easier to maintain. He's been swearing at the Legnum lately. Hehe

No issues here for about 2 years. I am running a 'modified' ignitor module though. I soldered a big thick wiring over the blown ground track.

That's A Nice Looking Volvo Mate.......

OK, as requested. It's not in great shape, but it's gonna be an awesome project. It actually has a 350 Chev. Some people would say this is sacrilege, but who cares. -

Hahaha. It sounds like your partners are opposite to my misses. She likes to give the 260RS a bit of a flogging and stir up the odd bogan. I bought her a Mini Cooper S with JCW kit and she complains it's too slow. Hits her favourite corner on the way home and has the traction control light flashing Now we just bought an old Ford GT40 replica as a project car. That should be fun -
I'm running an innovate LC-1 with V44 and using closed loop (Wideband V2 setting). To be honest, I'm not sure how much of a difference closed loop works. I think I could see it making corrections to get to the target previously, but now I've retuned all of the light load area using the Mixture Map mode and now it pretty much sits bang on the target even when closed loop is off. I haven't had any experience with WOT tuning though. One beauty of using wideband closed loop is that you can change your target away from 14.7:1. Mine runs a tiny bit leaner at cruise to improve economy.

The Vipec only uses one of the two O2 sensors and it's not compulsory anyway. You can disable closed-loop mode. Better still is to install a wideband O2 sensor and wire it back to the Vi-pec. It has some awesome tuning features with wideband feedback.

Been doing a bit of light load/ highway tuning of my 260RS. Leaned it out a fair bit. Last tank was 12L/100km (half highway, half around town). I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. I reckon it can do better...

Unfortunately not. I'm running Mac OSX and run the ViPec software in Parallels (allows you to run Windows from withint Mac OSX)

What turbos are you running GlobalWarmer?

How To: Stagea Headunit/stereo Removal
BoostedBarge replied to AlexCim's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
So you should have 12V on both sides of the fuse. I would have thought there'd be another fuse under the dash behind the little flip out coin holder pocket. Check all of them. -

You mean you have no 12V at the supply to the stereo? Have you checked the fuse in the fuse box? Also check the inline fuse in the wiring behind the stereo. You might have shorted something and blown the fuse. -
Car Stereo - Aus In The Back - Needed

I have an Eclipse something.. It's a few years old, but has rear aux in, plus rear USB and ipod connector and Bluetooth. You can select the colour, so I always set it to red. I'm really happy with this head unit. I've had it 3 years now and it's worked faultlessly. Has 3 RCA 5V pre-outs, too. Heaps of features.. -
May I suggest that people state which city they are in when the post.

I've had the car for 3 years and to be honest I have my ups and downs with it (mostly because it's too heavy and I want a GTR). Having said that, I'm currently having a renewed love for the car. In the past couple of weeks I've loaded the following things into that car: a longboard, steel (up to 2.4m), 20 bags of cement, pavers, kit surfing gear and regularly my dog. In those same 2 weeks I've done a few highway runs and hit Mt Nebo a few times and had an absolute blast. Not too many cars can be loaded nearly as much as a ute, but then hit the hills and be an absolute ball to drive. Dunno where I'd be without that car lately...

Spotted a white RS4 on the Gateway Motorway just North of Nudgee, Brisbane. I think the plates were SSO22 or something like that. Pretty sure I've seen them before. Gave you a wave. I couldn't see you because your tint was so dark..
-
Wow! That's an awesome list of objectives. It would be great if you could do some R&D on RB26 turbos, too
-
Spotted a white S2 on Sandgate Road, North Boondal under the Gateway Motorway overpass. Nice looking car. Very tidy. The driver and passenger gave us a big wave
-
Spotted a silver C34 RS4 cruising through the valley. Gave each other a wave. Was a nice looking car. Nice rims and looked a bit lower than stock.

Queensland Meet And Cruise
BoostedBarge replied to darrinspencer's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Sorry guys. I won't be able to make it. Stuck at work as usual... Have a good cruise. -
If you can get hold of Consult, it may help with the problem. 4psi really doesn't sound right for stock boost, so fix that problem before fitting a boost controller. Might be a boost leak or blocked cat. It should run about 6psi on actuator boost and 10psi with stock boost solenoid (I think). So get that sorted and then do the rest. Otherwise you're masking some other problem. O2 sensor is only used for closed loop (cruising on highway, etc.), so it will help with fuel economy, but won't help make more power. Coil packs are wise to upgrade, before they give you grief, but I wouldn't really expect any noticeable power increase from them if the car is already running fine on all 6 cylinders.
