How To Tune Safc Neo? Running A Little Rich.

He recommends using a pod filter rather than nothing at all is the impression I'm getting. -

Actually nvm I just re read the first post so won't actually leak boost. However u will get sick of the dose soon enough. -

Congratulations you made a boost leak. -
R33 Hypergear Highflow - What Boost To Run?
Scott Black replied to ausdrift's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The r33 base map is very very rubbish will barely get the car started. Infact a flat 85ve map is alot better than the adaptronic base map, timing is just as shocking too -

Moving fuel closer to 12.5:1 will have the combustion even happen faster as the fastest brun occurs around 12.5:1, therefor having the same effect as increased ignition timing. Yet also just adding a couple of degrees from load manipulation can be enough for serious issues -

If you don't have a wideband then you have no way of knowing how much of an adjustment you need and are just wasting time -

Is it awd, what do you want for the bare long motor -

Scott Black replied to MJTru's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wideband will be needed to.adjust values to get desired afrs. Also if you don't have a base map I should be able to dig one up. Yet the biggest issue your going to have is you want to try to tune a 600hp car without the right tools. And as soon as you start putting boost into it things can go wrong very quickly. Mbt in alot of places will be reachable.before det. So if pushed to knock levels in those areas it's way past ideal. And at that sort of power level things go wrong very fast. To much timing and it will ping and be bad, to little and you end up with excessive egts and risk of burning valves and other damage. If you had a stock motor there pretty simple to work out yet when you start talking higher outputs then without the right tools it's really not a diy thing -

Ok basically haltecs rb25 base map should have all the ignition settings correct. Depending on coils dwell will need adjusting. Injector size and latency will need to be changed to match yours. Then with the engine size set correctly you can pretty much set the entire fuel map to 80 or so. This will atleast allow the car to fire up as the base map for timing should be good enough for idle, if not the value is around 15 degrees for base idle. Once it starts confirm the engine timing matches the ecu timing. -

I How much work are you willing to put in. You will never get the tune perfect without a dyno and knock detection as the timing map is the most critical to making power. That being said what's your setup like, what turbo injectors and stuff, what boost you planing to put threw the Motor, I could talk you threw initial setup and getting the car to a point it can run and be driven under light loads only, yet to have a car that can be reliably driven you need someone with a dyno. -
Rb20 Ignitor Failing Symptoms Or Failed Coilpacks?
Scott Black replied to rayj's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What were the spark plugs like when you pulled them out. Specifically any difference between the two dead cylinders and the rest, if those two were really wet it would suggest a spark issue, if they were dry and a pailer colour to the rest it would suggest fueling -

Ethanol is highly hygroscopic, yet all that means is it will absorb water out of the air until it's so saturated you get phase separation. However, if air can't get to it then it can't get water out of the air. Depending on tank breathers and such will determine if fresh air can get into a fuel tank Easyer enough to cause an issue. On most cars not so much. In sealed containers not at all. Also some company's have additives in fuels to help with it. Basically unless you fuel system has leaks ( that's a big problem) then you shouldn't really have issues except for really long term. I've had some issues with a tank that was about 1/4 full and sat for 6 months yet the fuel cap also wasn't on properly. Oil contamination can be an issue though. Expecially with how open to air some motor can cases are. Yet if you use the right oil for it. Or change it out more often again not an issue. -

Stock ex manifold so it's got to be e85 to be at that power -
They don't run heater taps anymore, they have flaps that direct air.onto or away from the heater core. Climate control might have an issue with temp sensors, or a blend door motor might be broken
-
I'm not using springs the contact in the coil is directly on the plug, also dwell time is 5ms

then the mechanic is a dipshit, it can be modded to come on with ac, and that will improve ac performance expecially at idle conditions, However it will not explode, there is a high pressure cut out switch (normally part of the low pressure cut switch to) and if he gassed up a car that doesnt have one, then hes not doing his job properly as its part of the code of practice for automotive ac, and guess what the high pressure cut out switch does long before the presssures get high enough to burst a hose.....it turns off the ac

Hi, Wondering if anyone has a scrap rb25 laying around they don't want, doesn't need to run or be in anyway salvageable. Just realistically want one stick rb25 piston, can even have ringland damage

I think anything about 35rwkw needs atleast a 350mm throttle body, general rule of thumb is about 10mm per rwkw -

That's only 300rwkw or so, big enough turbo with enough boost should so it. Won't make power below 6k though -
Sounds like gudgeon pin or bearings to me. Yet that is based off listening to the video instead of infront of the car. Does it go away if you try to reproduce the sound and unplug a coil one at a time?

was a great little drive, would of stayed for breakfast yet had some things i needed to do. Was interesting for a skyline cruise, considering the car behind me was a stagea, then i was in a 180, then someone in a mazda 3 mps, then a wrx, then a r32 then a bmw, This seems to be the car everyone wanted to see
