  1. what are they going to do....strip down your motor to inspect your ports.... most cops have no idea.
  2. For the guys who are running their cars up to 100 ° or more I'd be making sure you have a way to monitor knock levels. Not all tuners account for temps this high and you could be knocking when approaching these temps. I know it's not the most accurate gauge but using the knock sensor on my pfc, and first few laps at around 80° knock levels about 10-20. Temp usually gets up to 85-90° knock is around 20-35 but if it's a hot day and the temps get to 95° knock levels start to get to 50-70 and I will have to do a cool down lap or two.
  3. If I had p plate restrictions I would be getting a NA ported rotor.... Definitely going to be the fastest option you've got.
  4. How do you know that the guy wasn't in a hurry for some kind of emergency? Its pretty simple... The right lane is for overtaking, and if someone comes up behind you just move over... Don't get the shits that someone is going faster than you and slow down and block them with a truck and then come on a forum whinging about it...
  5. Tried the 123's out drifting the other day.... Made nice smoke but only lasted for like 10 mins
  6. not much to update really.... went drifting on the weekend in 36 degree heat... had to do a cooldown lap every few laps to stop it overheating. Was having a few dramas with the power steering overheating as well. That said I was one of the few cars that was still drivable untill the end of the day. Next few things to do are: - Subframe mods (Solid flush bushes to raise it and welded reinforcements to make it stronger) - Power steering cooler. - Soon ill have to start the dreaded job of sound deadening removal in preparation for the cage. Ill keep you guys updated as things happen...
  7. Yeah I thought they looked weird as well when I put them in but then I sat in them and they are perfect. The rails were made to sit the seats as low as possible...both the front and back of them are as low as you can get them before hitting the floor.. and it still feels a bit high. I've got clearance for my head with a helmet but I think I'm gonna struggle to fit the front legs on the cage and still have room for my head.
  8. New seats..... Going drifting on Sunday and it's forecast for 35 degree heat...hopefully the car holds up. Getting a full cage installed next week and some takata harnesses.
  9. So I have got a locker in my R33 and it has always had this problem but it is getting worse so I think something else is going on here. When I turn a tight corner the car surges forward and back really badly, its also heaps worse when turning left than right. I have had lockers in a few other cars and never experienced this... usually the inside wheel just skips a bit. Im thinking there are some worn bushes or subframe mounts or something... any ideas?

  12. Ohh and since the last update I have also added a set of BC BR coilovers and some DBA Club spec slotted rotors and project mu pads. Makes a world of difference. Also just ordered a set of Bride Vios III seats and rails which should be here anyday. Now all thats left for me is to put a cage in, swaybars, get more steering lock and then do some cosmetics. Im thinking of doing a 34 GTR front end conversion and 33 GTR rear overfenders.
  13. Another pic.... Its making about 300kw atm but it should be making more.... gonna change a few things, turn the boost up and hopefully get some more killerwasps. Fkn love EC, cant wait to get out there again. Hopefully it isnt too long till they sort all this crap out and we can get out there again.

  17. I dont know if it was just because my intank was mounted wrong or not but without a surge tank my car runs out of fuel under hard cornering when Ive got less than half a tank.... never had an isssue on the street, but on the track its a different story...
  18. nah I had a silver one...went down to the wharf area near the lighthouse for a bit but left pretty early as I didnt want to hang around too long waiting for coppers.
  19. Ended up settling with the other guy for $1100 bucks..... which was pretty good, it could have been a lot worse. My car is still damaged, but I have pushed most of it back out and now im getting over fenders from the UK...

  21. dont know if I found the right cruise or not....we left it a bit late so we just cruised through the natio hoping to find yas...ended up finding a pretty big crew...but we were the only skyline lol....lots of evos....
  22. man I think the whole "you need a rediculously expensive cooler to make big power" arguement is a load of bs... Just have a look at the RB30's coming out of Maatouks with chinese intercoolers making redicuolus power and running low 6 sec passes. Pretty much shuts up all the non believers.
  23. Finally figured it out..... had a leaking heater core.. I was loosing most of my coolant through there but also some was going into the overflow and then the leak was preventing it from coming back...
