I am sure it was a 300ZX, 1991 model. She was caught again yesterday driving without L's I think, so the Sun said this morning.

My PC at home has a virus so is being fixed, any chance someone can buy one and I pay them! I looked for a phone number for the company but there isnt one I could see. Look forward to seeing you guys soon.

Ha! thanks people. Well I thought it best to show my allegiance (sp) at least via a sticker! If any of you can locate one for me and let me know a price, it would be appreciated.

Hi all I am now back in Melbourne and living in Brighton so if any of you see a blue RX Liberty around the area give us a wave. I need a skylinesaustralia sticker for it as well so if any of you know where I can get one, let me know. Hope to see some of you about in the not too distant future

Cheers for the reply mate but think it is going to have to be someone who grew up there so knows the locals. Thanks anyway though mate

If you have spent money on it getting it to how you want it, stick with it or at least set yourself a budget not to exceed with it. The downside to listing all the problems above is everyone on this forum who is a potential buyer is going to either be put off or be able to knock the price down based on the above problems.

Emre - Couldnt agree more. Think you have hit the nail on the head. You only have to look at what Cosworth did when money was of little object back in the RS500 days. Even today over here the cosworths are regularly over 500bhp. The Cosworth road engine has immense capabilities. Mine is approx 270bhp and has nothing mechanically go wrong in its life. I will sort some new bits for it soon but Cosworth in the UK is big money in tuning and the results in touring cars both here and in oz speak for themselves.

Cosworth is without a doubt English! I'm sure I remember M schumacher saying a while back that none of the cars are over 1000hp presently and it was unlikely they would break that barrier in the near future, which at least partially supports the list above. More gains were to be made from aerodynamics

I assume you have sorted your requirements as I have not heard anything from you?

When I test drive a car I do the following: Drive it on as many different speed roads as possible e.g residential and motorways. Open it up on the motorway a bit to see how it handles at speed - not a lot as you are probably not familiar with it. Resdential so you can see how easy/hard it is to drive at the low speed limits and if the car runs away with you at all. Try it in a parking space for size and ease of parking Try it in your garage if thats where it is going to be stored Do some manouveres such as 3 point turn, reverse parallel park, u-turn Dont have the radio on, listen for transmission and engine noises Drive it slightly hard but I wouldnt thrash it as most likely there are going to be few people around who you wouldnt want to lose control and hit Try rear seat space out if you intend to use them Clearance on speed bumps Sorry to sound a bore but the above are what I normally do and probably a couple more I cant think of at the moment! HTH

D.i.y Compliance
saff_cossie replied to DAN00H's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
very good thread. Does the company make intrusion bars for any car or just skylines? So is as I thought you dont need to pay a compliance person $0000's, you can do it yourself and take it to be registered? -

Saw another 5 series coupe yesterday all on 04 plates. I see there is a 7 series one as well but not seen any on the road yet. The 5 series coupe isnt even on the UK BMW site either. You said what I was thinking with the GM statement, just didnt want to offend people who may drive them on here! -
We went to the snow last year and we were told as well that it is law to carry them and they must be fitted to a 2wd after a certain signed point on the mountain.

from memory the monaro has been priced quite highly in the UK. I personally think it is the best car to come out of the GM company that I have seen (not been to the states) but whilst it will get people talking in the short term if you roll up outside the office in it, how long will it last? Running costs particularly petrol and insurance will be the killer in the UK but if I was an executive I would put my money on a BMW. Have you seen the new 5 series coupe? weird looking car. Seen 3 in the last 2 weeks, one was a convertable. 545ci and looks well odd! -
emailed you mate

Yeah they are in the Top Gear mag from Feb time this year it is. Was reading it in my local Kwik Fit last week. I knew they were prior to that from Melbournes motoring paper supplement that said they were exporting them to the Middle East and Europe back early last year. If you have the option to be in Australia, you shouldnt be in the UK man!!! -

There are some quick european cars which come from the main manufacturers just they are not heard of very often and are so expensive to run. You have to remember we pay in pence what you pay in cents and not forgetting the 2.5 typical exchange rate! Examples VW Golf R32 Audi RS4, RS6 Clio V6 The money you pay for these cars though, particularly the clio is knocking on new Evo and Scooby money at 25,000 pounds new. For the others they are pricey but most people who have that kind of money for initial purchase and running costs want something more executive like a BMW. My friend works for Audi and rates the RS6 highly, they are probably the most common of the above list. There are plenty I have missed I am sure. We are just getting the Monaro here as well now which is badged as the vauxhall and the reviews I have read, credit the aussies highly for it. -
Another reason to hate the French... and Spanish...

The R33 has said they will put some pics up and the Reyland crew have some footage which I look forward to seeing when they are all fit and well and back in the UK. I have a couple of vids but have posted the link for the biggest one on here. -
My mate has it done over here and when he looked into it, the best advice he got was to go to a reputable studio. If it isnt pierced correctly in the correct location, it doesnt heal and there is very little that can be done on the tongue to stem the bleeding.
-
Hi all I have found a model R33 in my local model shop for sale. If anyone is interested I can get it and post it or if you are prepared to wait, I am bringing a container in that has yet to leave the UK. It looks purple on the box and from memory when built they are about 5-6" long, dont quote me on that though. They also have various subarus and evos for sale. $65 will include postage and if more I will sort it. drop an email to: [email protected] or PM me or reply to the thread. Any more info let me know and I will try and find out.
