  1. Sadly I can't, I fit the drunk part but not the bus part as I'm not going to GG
  2. ^^ It says everyone is welcome to join us at the after party but says please display your grape grazing pass at all times, are they related?
  3. LOL! I didnt realise Chris showed up! Was talking to the CEO today who said the Perkins car came off at the end and suffered some panel damage while trying to avoid another car that lost control. The Perkins was hammering all day, a lot of respect from me for the speed that thing was hammering around at. and........... Funniest quote of the year so far, Norton as if you have ever intended to come out of a corner in any car with traction! I have seen you in a 4x4, Lil Blue, Big Red, Chris' GTR to name a few and none have come out of a corner with traction
  4. White R8 on Friday at about 5.30pm just off Swan St, Richmond. NSW registered with letters XQ followed by some numbers. Was either lost or taking someone for a test drive I suspect. Really liking the R8 but will the R12 top it
  5. Yeah was a little increased for Scotsman's benefit more than anything. We thought Bris should send him a message as he was the most credible for relaying results! :laughing-smiley-014:
  6. Some very good times out there today. Newton was running in Big Red, Grey 32 GTR x 2, silver 33 who is a Ford Club member. Matt and another grey 34 with an awesome cage were keeping the competition alive in the 34 corner. Newton was quick, 1.17.9 I think The grey GTR in Adam's group was flying but not sure on lap times Matt was somewhere around the 1.24's I believe. A total of 72 entrants which is a big field and also doing 1 lap more per session than the rex club.
  7. Well done, definately short term pain for a long term gain
  8. Well done on giving it a shot, I have certainly butchered things over time! I just try and research things now and this forum is a great knowledge base
  9. Search the Vic section for threads, around fatalities sadly as there is a stack of info in some of them. My thoughts summarised: Restricting passengers isn't right, its knee jerk and has been thought up because of a minority. Uni students etc who house share and may only have one car, will have to make alternative arrangements, young people in jobs who can't all afford cars etc. Disagree completely with this one. Better driving training is needed, it has to be a test not some baboon telling you "I will checking you obey stop signs, keep out of cycle lanes and observe the speed limit" as I witnessed at Vic Roads personally. A test should include multiple challenges e.g. I had to reverse around a corner and keep a certain distance from the kerb, while checking mirrors and not looking at the steering wheel as 1 example in the UK. Had 2 others to do also. Definately limit the car, a young male or female does not need 11ty billion KW at the wheels. 50-100kw is ample. This is a vehicle to get you from A-B while you build up your experience. It need not be new, expensive or powerful. Insurance that is related to the car should be mandatory. If people had to pay for an expensive or powerful car (mods declared), they would soon think twice about what they bought and the mods to it. There will be more p platers on the road which could be both positive or negative. Negative, more inexperienced road users, positive, more $$ for the State with rego, fines etc. Other factors that are not P plate related I feel are an issue include, lack of tolerance on speed on highways, roadside cameras, defecting. Hope this helps.
  10. Is this what you do for a job? If it is, everyone has heard of it but they just don't realise
  11. Sucks to hear, hopefully found in one piece.
  12. I have a climbing clip with the catch in, on a piece of steel wire. The steel wire is screwed into somewhere near the bonnet release utilising a screw already there and the climbing clip loops through the bonnet loop that the standard bonnet release uses. Easy and cheap Other guys in the club have used their SAU lanyard looped through.
  13. What is VIP at a Dance Event? Do you get a box with food and waitresses all evening? Does it avoid the queues? Do you get extra glow sticks?
  14. Go to Europe and see him the following week over there. Is it me, or is there nowhere to buy tickets on that page?
  15. This guy is awesome! One of the greatest out there.
  16. That is definately worthy of a photoshoot, up there with Concorde and the some of the world's greatest fighter jets! :sorcerer:
  17. Happy Birthday mate, hope you have a great day. Catch up soon for a beer **Edit - Is it actually your birthday, I know it's sometime around now as I remember your 21st! Facebook says Yes, SAU says No!
  18. I also hate them
  19. Nice car, well done, have always liked the 34 GTT's. I looked at several before the Evo. We should start a thread to see who still has their licence!
  20. Evo is for sale
  21. Yep as others have said, definately don't need a skyline. This club is more about enjoying the car you have safely and in the right environment regardless of marque. Unless you plan on battling for the top 3 at events, you also don't need a fast car. Cruises with SAU VIC are just that, not a high speed run. Sometimes a twisty route is taken before getting some lunch and heading back. As an example, the weekend before last, a few of us did around the bay and having a few hundred kw or one hundred made no difference. A number of social events take place outside of cars such as karting, pub meets etc so no need for a skyline or a fast car.
  22. The orange one I saw had standard issue plates, shot the pic through to James. Have seen MW1 quite a few times but not for about a year.
  23. Orange Lambo convertable on the Monash. Got a pic and cruised with him for a while before he took the South Gippsland Hwy turnoff.
  24. It's loud
  25. My mate had the grasshopper and I had the grasshopper II. His one came in the nasty yellow colour while mine was white but repainted (poorly) by me to deep blue. I have an old Tamiya magazine here from the 80's, should put it on ebay! Sorry not really long weekend ideas though
