Best advice as Ash and Hamster says, go to 3 dealers and let them know you are shopping around. Infact rather than me echoing the above posts, they seem to sum it up well. Will have this one as a post count increase

LOL at Lube Specialist. Sounds like an interesting presentation and look forward to it

Is a very nice car and my favourite GTS, tastefully modded and well looked after. It will be tough statistically due to the amount of time you have to spend on the road everyday but you can do it. The best thing you can do is train yourself to look out for any undercover cars and keep off the roads in it late at night. I have been driving 9 years and had one fine through for 1 point caught by the camera on the reverse side of the Altona Bridge going city bound. Contested it and didnt get the point or the fine. I try and drive impeccibly around residential areas and pride myself on it but out in the hills (or paddocks!), is a different story but am always very very aware of my surroundings. Good luck and make sure Chris teaches you how to drive it as he drives like a nanna

After losing my last reply to a database error! Thanks all, I had a lot of fun all be it driving quite cautiously due to the weather and having the g/f on board. There is a taboggan run at the top but couldnt get a park so had to come back down unfortunately. Emsta - As James says. My understanding is the Tarmac, Gravel, Snow splits the bias to front and rear wheel drive percentage. Snow 50/50, Gravel 60/40, Tarmac 70/30 (rear/front). There are more agressive mods out there to split it further such as MOTEC and there is a Ralliart ACD controller also.

Hi all Having owned the Evo for just over a year now, I thought it was time to try the Snow mode for real in preparation for a planned trip to the snow in a few weeks. I went up Mt Donna Buang (a recent SAU cruise also went up there) after lunch in Healesville yesterday. Despite having to pay to go up the mountain at this time of year and having no parking at the last car park before the summit, we had a great time. Took a few pics in one of the lower carparks as all the roads were pretty well salted. Having only used Snow mode on the DECA skid pan in the wet to any benefit, I was keen to see what it can do and I must admit although I was far from driving hard, it felt a lot more balanced than any other mode. So to conclude, yes it feels like it makes a difference and gave me a good opportunity for some pics

My carrier in the UK back in 2001 provided free SMS, Genie Mobile who were a spin off from BT, the main Telco over there. I sent in excess of 25,000 free texts during my time with them and how do I know that, because a large part were to my g/f over here who had to pay for her replies! It was supposed to be free only in the UK but worked to Australia which was fine with me. I now hate sending texts so seldom do an usually call instead but have had a work phone for all my time in Oz up until Feb time this year.

^^ If thats the reasons, then that ticks the boxes assuming you are not on P's.

Depends why you are changing, just because its newer? Or are there other factors such as work km's, lack of police attention, insurance, reliability etc. Also what do you want to do with it such as compete? I think Phunky Monkey on here has a V8 Clubby, could be worth a PM to him but helpful to know the reasons behind wanting to change first.

Thanks Rav, interesting to know Kev, I will let her know but think she has already booked it in, thanks too

What else did you do/learn, give us some more details. Lady at work, her son has to do one as he fell asleep at the wheel of a car and crashed. She has been trying to find one that is recognised by the courts and I believe is sending him to Sandown. Personally have never done one but my test was hard enough plus learning to drive in snow, black ice and freezing fog taught me a hell of a lot coupled with a 1.1litre car for 2 years. Great that you have completed it but see if you can apply it to your daily driving and as MissJuz says, come along to a track day and have some high speed fun with us where you can really see what your car can do.

Welcome to the forums Alex will be a friend from CNR33's work who bought the car I suspect as he was talking to me about selling it a couple of weeks back and explained that. Say Hi to Chris when you see him as he doesnt get on here much anymore I have noticed. Back to real crime Sherlock Holmes.

Was out at Half Moon in Brighton last night, then down to Mint and back to a mates house for further partying. Think I got home at about 3am and still managed to wake up by 6am! Damn body clock!

Yeah isnt to do with money to modify. It is similar to not meeting ADR's and as Ronin says, they are right hand drive vehicles. There were a number of posts floating around at the time 2F2F came out in relation to this. Google should help

Sandown Sprints This Sunday - June 10th - Driver Training Only $90!

Was a great day, thanks to the WRX club for the organisation and Gareth/John for stepping in to fill Snowy's shoes as he didnt show, really appreciate it guys. Enjoyed the super sprints later on but car just seemed to lack power all day compared to everyone else so might need a dyno run to see how it is performing. Concentrated more on the corners and upping the psi (tyre boost!) made it a lot more fun to slide out of the corners rather than slowing and accelerating again more than needed. Times were very poor but did manage to improve significantly after upping the pressures from 36 to 42 after advice from Roy Cushan, thanks mate Need more power now and track time. -
Airport is on the way to Heathcote, perfect opportunity :sorcerer: Nothing like a jet lagged sibling and a some drag racing

Overfinch are very good and are based about 20mins from my home town in a little place called Bordon. We used to get some of them in varying degrees of modifcation at the Range Rover dealership for work/cleaning. Awesome vehicles but get the damn brakes done first! :laughing-smiley-014:
