  1. Spell checker is your friend, might be worth pasting into Word to be sure Events are listed under "Calendar" which links back to the SAU Vic events section
  2. I see Evo finally have their own class Has anyone done one of these before, what kind of wear on tyres do they give as speeds are lower than a normal track day?
  3. Welcome and to be sure you get the most of your car with events, join up SAU Vic. Instructions are in the sticky: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=60590 Nice car, rims look ace
  4. Fantastic effort by all involved. Good work Patrick on the design, certainly does the club proud. Well done to Paul as well for his efforts SAU Vic showcases the goods
  5. The only clip of me and its the time I hit a cone! Did you have to! Good work, different speeds works well and a superb tune for that type of event. They used it for the final of the 1999 Grand Prix in Japan when Mika Hakinnen won it.
  6. I would be up for this again. I had a great time in November and enjoyed driving the tracks which were also my first track days. Preferences for me, Eastern Creek is my favourite so would be ace to do that again and QLD could be good as a final destination. Mav and I were throwing around ideas of trips for long weekends etc and Tassie did crop up as an idea following the Evo guys having a successful trip there last year. Either May or November would suit. June would be a good one if there was time around the Queens Birthday holiday to utilise that date but I expect the calander is full around then.
  7. I don't think yours with the Black Spur and the Magnetic Fields could be any worse than Brisby's
  8. Yes this was the same as I heard from one of the guys here this morning. Very sad if confirmed.
  9. Am certain it wasnt an 07 as the thread has been running for quite a while.
  10. Can you enter on the day then, I thought they closed yesterday?
  11. I believe so, yes. Check on www.evolutionoz.net as there is a fair bit of discussion on their about prices Australia wide.
  12. There is a model store on Swanston St, James called me from there a few months back as he had seen a model Evo. That cat eating the dope is funny! If you need a hand, let us know mate (blender also at our place )
  13. Absolutely superb reply........................................... but his name is Chris
  14. They are nice but remember you will be getting into high km territory and these cars werent designed to be driven lightly so the older the car, the more abuse they will likely have encountered and for peace of mind, the $$ increase isnt massive. I could have got a nice 6 for $33K but paid 3K extra and got my 7 which was 2 years newer and 30,000kms less.
  15. Those scrappies pay a fair bit these days, sheesh! Only joking mate, that was one of the nicest colours on the stand at the weekend and the first time I had seen in the flesh As mentioned on the thread about Berin selling, I wouldnt bother with the earlier Evos. One of the big reasons being, the UK are now getting an influx of them and you will find parts, reliability etc potentially hamper your enjoyment of the car. A lot of Evo 5 and 6's can be got for mid twenties and are definately worth hanging out for. If you are at the next DECA, I will take you for a fang in mine (me driving, not you!). Evo's are great but skylines are damn good bang for the buck
  16. Check on www.evolutionoz.com.au for a full spectrum but depends on whether you get the Performance Pack (pp). I have seen as low as $56K with the performance pack after negotiations. You will have to register on that forum though to access threads but is free. psssst, VII's are better
  17. I heard a new bar called Scanner was going there. :sorcerer: A very good partnership like the Switch nightclub at Knox and the famed partner, Powerpoint, located in the city.
  18. So presumably when you go to court you won't quote any of the "taking the wrap" part which is why this will appear as your 2nd mistake? He must have taken care of you very very well for him to be spared jail time and you to wear a ban which has now had further ramifications for you. In answer to your original question, Ash would be near to the money I would say but you have also fallen foul of increased anger/frustration against the modified car community at this time so you may be made an example of.
  19. As others have said, breaking will recoup some funds and you are probably one of the better placed people to do it with your mechanical skills (unlike me!). It is also better to sell or at least start advertising when you dont really need to sell it as by the time you are desperate to sell (such as having found your new car, need funds etc), you can bet your bottom dollar, you won't sell it for anything reasonable and end up giving it away. My Lexus took 9 months to sell but thats another story. If you do decide Evo, my advise is not to get any older than a 6 which are mid to high 20's at the mo but they hold their values quite well so aren't dropping a great deal. Good luck
  20. Just finding name for you now. **Edited - Company name is Mode Kitchens (www.modekitchens.com.au). G/f's mum thinks they have moved now to Braeside. His number is: 9587 2366 and Mob 0417 557 095 Evo's have coolers as standard
  21. Happy Birthday mate, hope you had a good one.
  22. Sounds like a great day and some awesome power from the Evo 8. Well done Mav for organising and good team work from Chris and Scott on the BBQ by the look of it. Finally we see a picture of the hoist Matt's 34 seems to live on! j/k
  23. Do you know what kind of $$? There are some exceptionally good places around and one that comes highly recommended is in Bay St, Brighton. I will get the name if you want it but is extremely pricey. Quality of the designs and workers used is second to none though
  24. Fortunately none of our vehicles but we do know the 3 trucks involved with 2 being from the same company
  25. Just been to South Melbourne for a meeting and traffic is flowing fine Westgate direction. Even on the Kings Way over pass it is fine so can presume that inbound is closed only. That said there is a traffic vehicle blocking vehicles from joining at the Kings Way on ramp. RIP to the deceased
