  5. How do you know it will give you nothing you are going to use, do you know everything the club does? If this is one cruise, maybe there are more in the pipeline Insurance, I know why but can't put it into words, currently seeking assistance from a translator EDIT - Dezz has answered it and in the words of my translator, because SAU have organised the event and IF an accident occurs, SAU can be sued hence insurance. (Thanks Paul)

Thanks Chris, top work getting it done so quickly As an example of how close, I hit one cone all day and the event that I hit it on (Mr Pinchy), the 5 second penalty I copped cost me over 25 points! I felt quicker than the last DECA and thought I went better but the results speak the words and I didnt I enjoyed the day though and just have to try harder again for the next one.

It is a day's driving at the DECA training centre in Shepparton. Courses are designed by exclusive highly talented individuals paid copius amounts of money, to test the ability of Vic Club Members. The group of 50ish cars are split in 2. 1 half do the skid pan in the first half of the morning and the other do the back tracks. They then rotate and by the time all are finished, the BBQ king is well under way for lunch. Skid pan tracks are designed with witches hats that correspond with a set of maps given out at registration in the morning. Sometimes this is themed and has been accompanied by a themed CD (Top Gun and Starwars) The morning sessions are 1 car at a time on any event with the afternoon congregating on the skid pan for battle sessions which are not eliminators (although have been on at least 1 I went to) but jus 2 cars up on identical witches hat courses. Helmets are required for the back tracks but not for the skid pan and passengers can go in cars all day as long as they adhere to the same rules (helmet on the back track and sign a waiver). Some people stay up on Friday and Saturday night which is a continuation of the day with dinner at Taco Bills, then the Yahoo Bar for drinks, followed by anything else. One keyword for the whole weekend is............ FUN!!!!
  14. No probs and better that you have said it now than 6 months down the track. Maybe next year then

LOL! Thanks mate. Anyone know what the white stuff is straight after the hand brake turn? I have been chatting to Paul R33 but dont know whether it is rings or clutch. The clutch was completely out at that point with foot flat on the accelerator.

Martin, that is an ace vid on me on Super Nintendo! Thanks so much for recording, definately makes future events more enjoyable being able to learn. Good work
  18. Since the Evo 1 was released, Evos are Lancers and it doesnt mention model. Had the article said, a Lancer GL sports car, I would also question it
  19. Thanks for all the info guys and the links too. Time to make a decision on it. Optus has the blackberry on a good plan that I like. Telstra has the coverage and the history and Vodafone also has some good deals. Cheers all

Thanks to the organisers of the day and also the marshalls/timers. I really appreciate you standing out there in baking sun so I can hammer the car round. Great Saturday night and Chris/Mav on stage at the strippers had me just about in tears with laughter. Ace weekend all round
  21. Definately a house. Was in a similar situation to you. I sold my car, shared a car/had lifts/cycled then bought an apartment. Once I had the apartment, getting a car was easy. The g/f was happy for me to have a car as she had her own place to live in and wasnt renting. No brainer IMO. BTW we were both under 25.
  22. Dave - So from what you saying, the cap can be exceeded? I thought a cap was exactly that? Ferni, Sarah - thanks. I am not too bothered about higher calls as I dont really make many. Have looked at phones again and like the Blackberry 8707g or the N80. I am leaning towards the blackberry as I know them and they are a lot cheaper than the N80.
  23. Thats car jacking Roman style for you
  24. Thanks everyone for the responses, most helpful. I will have a look at some of those models but a cap certainly seems the way to go.
