  1. Vlad's one possibly? Will find the user with a similar name to yours and post it up as I must be confusing you with him.
  2. Rod, I thought that was Dave? If not, someone with a similar forum name, also ex Skyline who has recently bought a black Evo.
  3. Had an excellent day and thanks for the wishes everyone. Have spent the afternoon washing the Evo and taking some pics with JW and his which I am sure will be posted soon. I am a bit of hack at washing the car so hopefully pics are in a good light. Am open to suggestions if anyone is around tonight. Will grab some food now and open some wine but if anyone does fancy some drinks down this way, even Taco Bills in South Melb, I am up for it
  4. LOL! Thanks people! Yeah I normally keep it quiet, especially at my age! Not sure about tonight. Was just going to get some food with Nic. Mav, sorry did get your message along with several others so didnt get chance to reply as I have been driving all morning.
  5. Well done Age, Evan and Dan. Hopefully brings the clubs and events closer and the strengths of both can be leveraged.
  6. Dream on boy! Mine is going to be on fire at DECA! Well hopefully not literally! It now turns 180 degrees on the spot perfectly which shall aid me in my conquest for a top 45 place! James can certainly steer a rex, credit where credit is due.
  7. Ace car mate and well done. Those rims are awesome by the way. They are the ones the guy in Taipai has on Evo Oz. Let me know if you want to go cruising tonight before I open this beckoning red
  8. Atreyu - tyre kickers come with the territory. It took me 10 months to sell my Lexus and I wasnt appealing to a younger generation dominated market. I carefully priced mine after the first month, 2nd from bottom of all ad's I could find. I still had people offering me 20K for a car that was up for 27/28K. Other Lexus' of a similar age and much higher km's were 30K plus. It pisses us all off but as a buyer, people try their luck. Definately no need to get fired up though, you could quite legitimately have questioned the statement though as you wouldnt want it hampering any future sale.
  9. Thanks Snowy
  10. I definately wouldnt buy it from a caryard unless you are getting something a long way over and above a private sale (excluding the price!). There are a lot of clean Series 2's out there if you want them. Definately good you posted on here though. Good luck with the search and there are plenty of owners here who can help you. I looked at a few as S2 was what I wanted but didnt end up getting one.
  11. Coldfusion not an option? Would enable database driven and uber easily updateable content from anywhere, even on the fly at events via a URL.
  12. What else do I need to do to be added Snowy? I have the form to fill in for Eastern Creek. My accomodation form is filled out and awaiting confirmation from James on nights he is going to be there. Sorting the CAMS at the meeting on Tues with Chris.
  13. I am in and will be purchasing a CAMS licence in the coming week too. Am keen to take the car on the track up there so just need to ensure it is track ready now. Leave is booked and looking forward to the trip.
  14. I havent had any reminders but there will be forms up there on the day. Did you buy yours after the last DECA as mine expires on the 8th? Come to think of it, when was last Novembers DECA? Have I been short changed by 10 days!
  15. Am thinking of the CAMS path myself too this time so I can do Eastern Creek and then the option of some track days next year. A reminder for the CAMS Sarah would be tops (preferably before NSW)
  16. Hi all Just a reminder as I was looking for another card last night and pulled the AASA one out and noticed it expires before the next DECA. I think this will be the first fair size batch of expiries as other people have bought them at the following DECAs so will up for renewal in Feb, May etc. The President has informed me forms are available on the day but just a reminder to bring extra cash (watch me forget now! )
  17. LOL! Thats good enough proof for me.
  18. Thanks Paul, I thought the place on the corner was an Indian? Waits for......... Note, venue change to
  19. Should be in, sounds like a most excellent day in the making.
  20. Would like to attend but will the Autosalon meet be on the same night and if so, can they be combined?
  21. A beer appreciation day!! I'll be there.
  22. I attended the drag day on Saturday and took pics of the Aussie thunder so was as shocked as several other SAU members upon hearing this. 2rismo - I actually found Paul's drawing informative and a long way from trivialising the event. I missed the 2 news articles and was interested to see how the poor guy had come to grief. They were explanatory to me and in none of Paul's other posts did I see anything even indicating a trivialised picture or event. And all I could find on the news websites was plain text so this actually helped me. I am sure a simple PM would have done expressing your feelings to avoid degrading a condolences thread. The only person I see being disrespectful in this thread is you, by swearing at Paul's post. You also post a "lol" in the thread where people are offering condolences. Would be very interested to hear you reply.
  23. Happy Birthday old timer!! Only just jumped on the forums
  24. Nic just mentioned the Bathurst guy as I missed it being downstairs at the car with Mav. Terrible news and to have a young family is even worse. RIP mate
  25. I cant believe this, he was only wandering around the cars yesterday looking at that immaculate 32 GTR with the other Japanese guy. This is so sad, RIP to the driver and condolences to his family.
