  1. Why did you bet on him Koala? Good odds? Touche!
  2. When I saw the colour and the venetians mentioned before the pics loaded (connection is a little slow here), I thought I might have seen it on Monday night on White St, Parkdale. There was a brown one with those blinds on the windows that went past me on a P plate. As it happens it was a wagon with the venetians not a sedan, same colour though. Sorry to hear mate and hope you do find it.
  3. ROFL! Get back to that affair with the burgundy 33! Wait for the next opportunity Koala! And..... Thanks Mav for the help, really appreciate the driving around. Will catch you tomorrow at the Autosalon meet if its still on.
  4. As others have said, insure it. Bonnets in my experience are the most notorious for getting damaged. Its not Carbon Fibre is it? Bus Freight as Shan says is very good from what I have heard but size could be the limiter. Let us know how you get on though, would be useful.
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. After showing them the globe when Mav went to get the money back on the originals, the found some and out of courtesy did a straight swap even though they would have been priced higher. Appreciate the quick response guys. This can be deleted/locked if needed or used as a resource if it helps with other suppliers.
  6. Hi all Long shot but maybe someone knows........ I have looked at the Workshops/Tuners sticky but cannot see anywhere and am not overly familiar with car part stores. Mitsubishi were my first port of call but they would take up to 4 weeks from Japan and as it seems, (I think it would have been incorrect anyway based on the ones Eastside supplied). I tried Chadstone first being a Ralliart Distributor but they could only order them, then tried Knox who suggested Eastside Mitsubishi. Eastside had the LED's that Chadstone priced so Mavric has kindly trundled out there and got them, only to find they are the wrong size. I called Techsport who were very helpful and suggested Bursons as apparently they are quite common. Bursons couldnt help and sent Mav to another parts distributor near by who again couldnt supply and this time told him they were genuine Mitsubishi parts only. This LED has a little black plastic cap on the base with a bayonet type fitting that locks it into the dash. Is my only hope 4 weeks from Japan (assuming they get the right one as there is no part number on it) or can anyone help on here please? Can post a pic later but Mav is currently roaming Melbourne with it! Any help appreciated.
  7. Sounds like a bumper weekend for the cops. The ages of the two racers surprise me but guess age is no limit.
  8. Cool pics! Thats the first convertable S15 I have seen in Oz. I had a pic sent to me of one with the top down a few weeks back but it was from the original brochure.
  9. Would be interested to hear a bit more about the Colt as they seem to get mixed reviews. As for cars, do you want to go brand new or just newish? Ford Fiesta, dont think the ST is here but the sporty equivilant Renault Clio Sport Mazda3 MPS
  10. Looks superb. I wouldnt put it on the car though incase it gets damaged. Put it on a shelf or in a cabinet as a talking point when people come over for a drink.
  11. Thats members only The monthly meet is in a couple of weeks at the Bells Hotel in South Melb.
  12. I am thinking there could have been a dedicated counter, also known as a dedicated driver
  13. Ace invite! Nice and local too.
  14. Happy Birthday mate!
  15. Thats quite cool although I was expecting a news summary of major items rather than facts about how much water can be boiled with the amount of candles on my next birthday! Good find Leewang
  16. tongue works wonders Dont use kitchen towel like my first efforts at the November DECA, ended up with the window being more of a mess than with the number on there! BTW ordinarilly I wouldnt have considered using it but it was all that was available in the cabin and Viva is supposed to be strong! I normally just scrape it off with a blade. Mine are still on though at the moment until I get the car back.

  24. Looks cool. Did you replace them with blue LED's or white and paint the inside of the panel in the blue paint you can get for painting light clusters?
  25. Can you post the link up, the search didnt return anything when I tried.
