  1. Certainly not the case with trucks. If a truck flicks something up and causes damage, it is the responsibility of the truck company to fix it. My dad had a chipped windscreen from a truck coming round a bend which flicked a stone up. The company paid for that no questions asked. I also work for a truck company and see the claims we get. They are also so hard to disprove. Why should Joe Public pay for his car to be fixed when he was out minding his own business.
  2. Well done Juz
  3. Well said Mav and hopefully it isnt just a flash in the pan knee jerk reaction but that it actually is implemented and successfully. Great idea James.
  4. Well done Team. This was a superb event from just a spectating view without taking part. I watched each of the sessions on the skid pan in the morning and quite a few cars in the afternoon. I was very impressed from cars going out with just tyres squeeling DECA style to actually getting the back end out, all within a couple of laps and then just perfecting that back end sliding. Really was superb to see the transformation. This went for all entrants that I saw. Must also second the burger comment as I was next to James when he said "can you die from eating raw meat" with a might pink burger in his hand! Well done to all organisers from SAU and the drift boys.
  5. Ah memories with GOLGO Snr. That car was superb
  6. Two say Channel 9 apprently and one had the word "guess" after it which I read out of context. I also couldnt find it in the TV pages.
  7. DOH! Sorry Dezz. It used to though before it was fully linked up. Possibly 2 or 3 years ago actually I completely forgot from the last time. **Edit - I knew I wasnt all mad! It used to exit at Cooper St BP.
  8. Thanks Dark but I dont like the placing of them. My favourite place is the A-Pillar as I dont like cluttering the dash. I dont mind them in the dash but prefer them in the A-Pillar.
  9. Brings you out at the BP so you just hook a right onto the hume and look for the Shell on the left a little way up. Previous gatherings have been on the left in the gravel car park as you turn in. Trucks are round the back along with lost skyline and subaru drivers!
  10. Cool! Any idea on what channel as I skimmed the TV Pages last night but couldnt see a mention of the show.
  11. Thanks Kaz, shame Also thanks for the link Rekin
  12. I would also be interested in knowing the definate legalities as I gather I cant put gauges in the A-Pillar for safety reasons incase of impact.
  13. I'm quoting you but not quoting you I think it is 90db as I had probs a couple of years ago. Also dont quote me.
  14. Excellent stuff. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, maybe you can call.............. The SAU Team
  15. I still havent seen one also. Judging by the times of the posters on here, it seems they are just after the main rush rather than during it.
  16. Also like to thank the team for organising the jackets and vests. Very impressed with the quality. Havent owned or worn a jacket in about 6 years so feels quite odd wearing one! Thanks Team
  17. Catch you all later.
  18. ROFL - Whose is the nun!!!? and no I dont want to borrow it
  19. HA HA HA! You still missed the "r" off of "bette" BACK AT YA! BTW West - They may be successful traders but how are people supposed to read them!
  20. Very nice Now you didnt just walk down the street and take pics of someone elses car did you Looks good and a good base to start from once you are off the P's
  21. I did my school work experience at 16 in model shop. Good old Beatties in the UK. I had the Grasshopper II car that I saved up from 13 weeks of my paper round. I did a purple spray job on it and it looked sh|te but I thought differently at the time. Also had an assortment of model trucks including a Renault AE500 Magnum (Mack over here), Scania, Ford Aeromax to name a few. I found a radio controlled car mag from 1986 the other day in my stuff. Maybe I should ebay it! James - did you win it?
  22. Put pics of your car up first then if you dont want pics of the owners, it usually helps and lets people know what you are after.
  23. I think you will find if you re-read all 4 pages there is very little bagging going on. The thread is about the deceased so people have respect. Most of what has been written is either experiences or suggested solutions.
  24. Jay is only 30 mins down the road in Basingstoke (my home town) along with Rod Tarry in the worlds fastest Cosworth (literally). Enjoy the UK mate and if you get stuck for ideas, shoot me a PM and I will think of some places for you to go. BTW weather is superb at the moment, better than when I went back in May.
  25. It is a bit expensive. Make sure you visit the Great Hall used in the Harry Potter movies if you havent already. That is very near the uni. I took some friends from Oz on a Harry Potter tour. I should charge for it as I know most of the places!
