Jackets... Get Your Supercool Sau Vic Jackets...
saff_cossie replied to Jamezilla's topic in Victoria
My username has an _ in it. saff_cossie. My payment wasnt allowed a special character in the field when I sent the payment online. I must not be a special guy if I can't have special characters. -
Was going to post last night. I drove down the freeway last night through the Burnley Tunnel from Dandenong. The drive was perfect. Not one tailgater and large gaps left. Honestly I have never seen driving like this over here. Something must have hit home yesterday. Keep it up Melburnians.
-
Yeah there was something about that for kids driving parents cars and yes they could also be confiscated. Would be a nice loophole otherwise.
-
I should be there, if nothing major comes up with work. Slightly too far to walk at this of year but maybe in the coming warmer months.
-
Tis a double negative so really you are bagging him These sort of posts are informative without be rude about the Police so do serve a purpose mate. I am happy to have been told about this considering ordinarilly I use the Monash 10 times a week. You are right if you are doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear though.
-
Wouldnt the Vic Roads website list them www.vicroads.vic.gov.au On closer inspection, here you go: http://www.roadworthyinspections.com.au/vic.htm
-
I am going up Sat morning early.
-
Good to see it targetting a broader range of offences. Hang on, just realised this is the Monash and not the Princes! Damn I use this most days. Where were they this morning when some t|t decided to sit on my rear bumper as I passed a truck at 100kph!

"ybb" Number Plates

bump $490 ono or reasonable offers. PM me if interested. -
Yeah that is right mate if you take it to them. There are certain cars they cant do on site. Falcodores they can do at dealerships/private addreses but even my Lexus had to go to one of their sites off Lower Dandenong Rd and it cost the same (which the buyer paid for). Report was good but ordinarilly they dont give it to the seller, only the buyer as they were the one paying. I requested a copy which the buyer OK'd as I wanted to ensure everything was rectified by Lexus under warranty before the new buyer took the car. My g/f's brother had a couple of commonwhores done at dealerships and they took a couple of hours. HTH **Edit - Bec is right as $285 wouldnt cover half a day of labour for a mechanice let alone a full day.

Money transferred 2 mins ago so should be there by Tuesday 11th am. I had to remove the _ from my username for one of the descriptions but not sure which one it took it from so will either be saff_cossie or saffcossie. -
Had a chat to one of the Directors and VIP own the trailer, we simply cart it around so is a no go as our primary business is temperature contolled transport. Probably best going the TNT route. Doesnt someone off here work for them?
-
Speak to West and see if you can squeeze a 33 rack onto a 32 as I know he was planning to try
-
Bec - Getting sick of Winton!? Take it back! redesigning signs, conversing with the locals, wang bangers - what is there to get sick of! I know what you mean with going to a different track though. I would be interested in this and might be able to tie it in with catching up with my Sydney guys from work. Can someone put me under the "groupie" section please. Great idea Snowy My new employer carts the VIP Petfoods Porsches around in those trailers so I could see if they can collect from Melbourne. How many would we be talking? I think it is the ex MD whose daughter is married to one of the Kelly family (V8's) so he is a keen enthusiast also.

I thought this was normal. 60mph or 100kph is the legal limit in the UK for trucks and cars towing trailers. As trucks are 100kph here I assumed trailers were the same. Sorry to see the mess and glad it can be fixed. BTW I would like to nominate the taxi in my siggy for the sexiest 4 door Ford ever made

Another excellent installment, well done team. Loving the captions under the pictures and the refs to GOLGO.
-
I would give them until Friday and perhaps make a call in the afternoon unless they gave you any details during the interview about quantities of interviewees, time spans to interview them etc. I would always add a week onto the end. Good luck anyway and hopefully roll on the group buy

That car was the Renault Laguna. I remember when they were launched with that card as it was the first European car to be awarded the EMCAT (or whatever the rating system is) 5 stars. Thats where I got my driving to cool down, my sierra didnt have one so I just used to drive it hard on the motorways and run it at lower revs for the 5kms or so back to my house. I apply the same cool down theory to any turbo car I drive.
-
Definately legal. We run them on trucks and are subject to very stringent regulations from Vic Roads. As others have said, its the removing of the key and exiting with it still running which is the issue and my understanding also. Having said that, I dont see the need for one on a car. If you are not driving hard on boost right up until you stop, why do you need one? If I am coming home or arriving somewhere, I always drive off boost for 2 reasons. First is I dont want people around my work/home seeing me driving harder and earning me a bad reputation (not that I see myself as reckless at any point) and secondly, it winds the car down in preparation for parking. Don't $hit in your own backyard

How Do You Guys Keep The Fog Away?
saff_cossie replied to charlieR34's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Put the windows down so the inside temp is the same as the outside You might freeze but thats what I try to do. -
No same as NSW here but its a courtesy thing I think is what James and Snowy are saying. Actually Vic has a free for all on the roads, best man wins
-
An oldie but a goodie. We should have a sticky for games like this. I know another couple just need to find the threads on another forum.
-
I like Snowy's thinking. Cars travelling along the highway dive on the brakes at the same time as the cars on the on ramp who have accumulated enough speed (sometimes) to merge seemlessly! As a a result there is a diving on the brakes game to guess who is going to go in front or behind! Most annoying for me is the cars cutting in and out. They are obviously not thinking that there could be some other mooron doing the same thing and cause a pileup. My motto, Imagine there is a clone of you on the road doing the same daft thing at the same time as you. Can be quite scary. Good topic Adz

I also copped an additional invoice from my clearance company about 3 months after the car was imported for steam cleaning. How it took 3 months to establish this is beyond me but I coughed up as it was a friend of the family who owned the clearance company. Know how you feel though.
