  1. ROFL! Very good mate. Back to your glass cubicle and do some work!
  2. Well said mate but not entirely correct, I wasnt ever on P's 1L cars should be the only thing anyone in the first 3 years of driving gets their hands on, including learning. That gives you mobility but teaches you respect. Gives you an insight into running a car so at 18 you are not forking out for repairs, fuel and insurance on a 300bhp car. Anyone who argues they dont have enough power for overtaking/pulling out needs to think again. The idea of a new driver is you take even more time than anyone else as you are inexperienced. So it might take you an extra minute to get out of a junction, learn and add that minute to your journey time. So you might not be able to overtake a B Double as frequently or with as much ease as a 4L but you will bide your time knowing you have that lack of power under your right foot. IMO there are not enough low low power cars available on the market here cheaply Not having to have pay for insurance outside of rego doesnt help as anyone can get anything if they are prepared to face the consequences in the worst case Driver training and testing is inadequate and this is where clubs like SAU Vic step into their own by providing safe places for drivers and IMO need more Police support and credibility given to them. My 2c
  3. Scott did a good job with his (Chrisman)
  4. LOL! alright! I was looking for my full forum name and expecting it to be nearer the bottom.
  5. Jacket in a Medium please in writing as per MSN
  6. Well on a side not but still service related, I had the Evo serviced today by Mitsubishi Chadstone, only a 30,000km service but $215 for it. Very happy with that.
  7. Off to find some as I am in Sydney all week. Will try and get some at the airport and bring them to Winton on Saturday.
  8. So you are the creator? I have seen this on a number of UK forums and a couple of the main Ford ones there. Well done. As far as I remember from the postings on the forums no credit was given, just that "someone" had done them.
  9. Tried the jackets last night. Anyone know what size Leewang is going for as a Medium is big on me. Will try it on again later but if I go any smaller, the arms might be too short!
  10. Obtaining a licence here is way too easy. Learners are advised to do 120 hours before they go for their P's yet plenty of learners are out there with more confidence than a middle aged driver. Agree with the setting the speed limit based on the lowest ability from the first post, makes logical sense. The testing here needs to be tougher. I did my test in the UK where first time pass rates are around 40%. Accidents there are also not as common as here from me spending my first 23 years there. Sure in the fog in the middle of winter, I can recall some horendous 40-50 car pile ups and there are certainly plenty of bad drivers there. The infrastructure here is not designed for higher cruising speeds, check out the right turn lanes on an 80kph road. Have a look at Germany and the UK where motorways/autobahns are fenced in with high or deep embankments with plenty of bridges and tunnels for people and wildlife to get across the roads. My 2c
  11. Looks very nice and good to see the bar in another colour.
  12. Really sorry to hear its your brother. I couldnt imagine how I would cope if it were my brother. I wouldnt post up his version of events in a situation though like this on an internet forum incase something more comes of the case. Just trying to think of your family. I would take the details bit out (which I havent quoted).

    World Cup!

I didnt watch the game but 3 yellow cards would definately be some sort of record for 1 player considering it is 2 yellows and you are off
  14. If I catch up with Dane on Saturday, if James doesnt mind, I can grab it from his place and bring it with me if that helps? BTW - can you kick his ass into replying to my PM!!lol! Thanks
  15. Where can one aquire such a creature?
  16. And thats just in your yard
  17. Well the travel news had a special mention about the increased traffic around Fountain Gate because of Krispy Kreme so chances are it will be a fair wait. Might try and grab some at the airport if I get time then. Anyone want a group buy!?
  18. Flew back from Sydney two weeks ago and the entire cabin was filled with KK donut boxes! The person who delayed my flight came on carrying what looked like the "feed a small nation" size box and proceeded to buffet everyones head as he went down the aisle with it! I am in Sydney next week and will be flying back Saturday morning and driving up to Winton. Thinking of grabbing a box to bring up although it will be about 4 hours between purchase and delivery unless I can get the plane to stop at Benaila on the way through.
  19. Happy Birthday! Have a great day and make sure you hit Paul up for as much financially as Nic does to me! LOL!
  20. ** Runs and hides greatest hits album
  21. Excellent work Joel, thanks for the links
  22. Ha ha, how did I know you wouldnt make it! You missed an excellent talk from Craig at J-Spec. Was superb and Snowy's photoshop efforts which have improved 10 fold over his paint days
  23. South Melbourne is where the SAU Vic meeting is. Just got back myself from one. I live in Port Melbourne which is the next suburb between South Melbourne and the beach and it is all a very nice area. Can't add much to AGE's list other than if you are into your cycling use beach road on a Saturday and Sunday morning and join the 7000+ cyclists who use it of a weekend, if you hate cycling, avoid it like the plague!
  24. Looks very nice, from the first and second pic I thought it was an Eclipse then noticed the 3rd.
  25. Agree, drive like a fool and endanger others, then have your car taken, its no one elses fault but your own. Also as Graeme has said, its also about the knock on effect. You could impound one car yet that would make 30 of his/her mates think twice. As long as it is enforced correctly and shows results, I think it is a good idea.
